If I could write a 0 for customer…

If I could write a 0 for customer service I would. I love my phone and the physical cell service is decent however if you need to talk to this company it's god awful. They tell you on thing then do another every time, they're consistent in that regard. My phone replacement was approved on March 30th as of the 10th still no word, no tracking number and no response like I was promised from a supervisor within 48hiurs. It's been 4 days since they promised a callback in 2 days what a absolute joke . They'll take you money every month but screw you if you need help or want to use your replacement service you've been paying for for years

Liars in customer service

Ordered a replacement phone for a warranty when my phone broke. Because of my phone screen being damaged it selected the wrong address at the last second on my order. I immediately tried to change it and kept getting told I can't change it until the phone has shipped. Ok..i wait and then get told they can't actually do that. So 3 people lied to me possibly more for the second part. Customer service just kept trying to get me to go away and wait for help via 24 hrs later manager email, and didn't end up helping me. I swear, if they give me any problems on my warranty return of my old phone I will quit them forever. It was an awful experience and I'm near tears over this. I have never been so angry and hurt and I hate being upset to the point of being rude to others. I hate it.

Phone service fine, customer service atrocious

The actual phone service isn't bad, and they cost and promos are nice. Unfortunately when things go wrong support services are beyond useless. They are in fact complete blobs. They CANNOT do anything. They don't even read what you send them half the time, and they do not understand how to help all the time. I can recommend the phone service, but only if you'll never need their help.

Stolen phone

I traded in a Samsung Galaxy Z4 to receive a $999.99 credit to which I only received a $160 credit after being emailed that the device was mailed back for damage. There is no detailed pictures or information regarding the damages and it seems like this is just a disingenuous means of getting customers to offer their equipment over to receive less than market values, so that equipment can be resold for greater profit. I don't want a $160 credit for my $999.99 device. I want my device as initially promised. If there is damage, which may have occurred during its time at Google, I paid for a protection plan that will cover its repair. Please either send me my phone or provide me a full $999.99 credit.

I've contacted Google Fi Support several times, only to have them explain they have the right to do what they want and hang up. No supervisor or higher level support available.

Call to German Landlines no longer work

Call to German Landline no longer work after it worked for years. Google fi attempt to resolve: they prefer blaming the service provider in Europe, even saying the number in Germany might be blocking the number. Duh, the call connects, just no voice connection. How is this blocking?

Do not get Google Fi or pixels!!!

Signed up for Google Fi and got pixel 8s two months ago. I've never hated a phone and service so much. Phone doesn't follow app preferences that you choose so I'm not sure why they're even offered because it does what it wants anyway. Started off with just annoying glitches and not well thought hardware. Trying to backspace often just takes you out of the app or screen you're on. Too much unwanted notifications and gimmicky looking settings. After a few weeks half the keyboard wouldn't register touch, phone would freeze daily, apps would close out, pictures wouldn't all display for social media. 3 days ago service was cut off and phone said no sim detected. Rebooted and worked again. Next morning, couldn't call or text even on WiFi. Rebooting didn't help. The keyboard wouldn't even display to try and text. Kept saying sim card invalid or no sim detected. Removed and put back in not just the sim card for it but another one and nothing would register. Tried all the settings. Nothing worked. Get home later and it works again. Leave home and same thing as before, no service. Get home and it works again on wifi. Get Google Fi to call and cleared caches, uninstalled apps, took out sim card, downloaded e sim card, reboot, airplane mode. Calls and texts worked but couldn't send or receive pictures even in social media. Keyboard inserted letters and periods not even touched, screen glitching, record videos and on playback only sound would play, screen freezing every hour. Have Google Fi call again today, they made me factory reset. Backed all data up as they instructed, swore I wouldn't lose anything and factory reset was the only option as they wouldn't replace until I tried it. Everything I needed got wiped out. All videos I took on this device show a thumbnail and are empty when opened, pictures are gone, contacts are messed up, calendar is wiped out, texts gone, log in info and passwords gone. Pictures from over 5 years ago never on this device and deleted years ago from other phones showed up in gallery but not the ones that were actually in it before reset. Screen had chaser lines after touching it. Get another call back. The woman would not listen to anything and only repeatedly asked if the lines on the screen were horizontal or diagonal and didn't care whatsoever about the other stuff that had been going on. Wouldn't transfer to someone else so hung up and got another call back. Had to be transferred to someone else because that person didn't know what to do. Have to have my husband call back again to request a replacement because his email is the account holder. Will not let us trade phones for another make/model even at additional cost. Didn't help at all with recovery of lost data. Said I can try going on a computer to find it but had no answer when I asked even if that worked how do I get it onto my phone then. She said it's really complicated to do it. That was the resolution? I give up. Our only option according to her is get the same phone back and if that has issues, just keep getting the same phone replaced. Again, no help on everything that was wiped from them making me factory reset. No compensation or offer or even apology for 3 days of hours on the phone with them and if we want a replacement we have to call and spend more time doing that. I've had to erase this review multiple times while trying to type it because the settings change my correctly spelled words and insert numbers in instead. I hate this phone.

Google Fi gets ZERO stars

Google Fi gets ZERO stars. I spoke to them before I ported my number, they assured me I would have no lapse in service, but than I could call out but not receive calls so when I called back now they say that it would be about 24 hrs. Wasted hours with them on phone all while not being able to receive calls so I cancelled Google Fi and walked to the Boost store. Boost had my phone number back up in less than 10 minutes, for less money.

In regards to google fi cell service

In regards to google fi cell service. Horrible. Yes the plan is affordable and no hidden fees BUT hope you don't need customers service. Agents are very scripted and have little to no capabilities or control over anything and if you need a manager you have to wait at least 24 hrsBY EMAIL. Also, ever since I made the switch I get non stop scammer and junk calls. All day every day. Nightmare.

Lousy Service - Beware Google Fi Protection Plans

Lousy service that everyone who is considering Google Fi should be aware of. I've been paying for device protection ($5/month) since 2019. My phone was dropped/broken yesterday, 10/29/23. After going through the procedure to replace the broken phone today (10/30/23), I was told it would take until 11/2/23 to 11/7/23 for the replacement to be delivered - OUTRAGEOUS. It should be delivered overnight at no extra expense to me. When I called and asked to speak with a supervisor, the tech told me that the reason it would take so long to deliver was due to the All Saints Holiday - WTH?????? I was put on hold for a total of 26 minutes listening to LOUD marching band music before being told it would take up to 24 hours for a supervisor/manager to call me back. HORRIBLE, LOUSY SERVICE. Plus the "techs" that answer customer calls have difficult to understand accents and cannot answer simple questions about Google phones. I am completely stunned how terribly customers are being treated, and it appears that Google Fi has farmed out these functions. I guess Google Fi just does not care. So angry and upset.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. Such a fraudulent company with very unhelpful customer service. One person tells me one thing and another person tells me another. There’s never consistency in who is responding to you either so they’re all just hoping you pay a bill you shouldn’t have been billed. I haven’t used their services in over a year and they resumed the services which I did not see. I don’t have their SIM card in my phone nor have I used the number I once had by them and somehow they charged me $106+ for their “services”. No one knows what is happening they’re all giving canned responses, completely unhelpful. No one can tell me how they provided their services to me without their SIM card in my phone and without using the number that was with that SIM card. For a trillion dollar company to be squeezing money out of former customers is wild but not surprising. Do yourself a favor and never sign up with them.

Garbage carrier with frustrating customer support.

Just switched from T-mobile. What a garbage service Fi is. No technical support only by email. Just arrived in France no data or cell service unless attached to wifi. First day wasted on phone. Still no Service and keep getting cut off. Nobody calls back like they say and operators have no idea what they are doing and can't talk to a technician. They said someone would email me technical support. That hasn't happened either. Kicker is I spent hours on phone over wifi and getting charged for it. Save your time and money and don't move from whatever carrier you already have.

Google Fi WARNING

I was with Google Fi for about 8 months, they share networks with T-Mobile, with that being said, I was very dissatisfied with the service, a lot of drop calls and SLOW internet connection. I finally switched to Verizon, which I'm VERY happy with, but before I switched I contacted Google Fi and they told me that I didn't owe them anything, as a matter of fact they gave me credit for two months. Fast-forward to today, this morning I woke up to an alert from my bank of a debit of $552.02 from Google Fi!!! With no warning or notification Google just debited that money from my account which left me in the negative. I immediately contacted "customer service" and was informed that it was for devices (Galaxy A53 & Google Pixel watch). I advised them what the last rep told me and was told that they don't see the notations on the account. Asked to speak to a supervisor but was told that "Christine" was busy at the moment and she will call back. Seven hours and no callback later, I called Google Fi Customer Service back to check the status. CSR Diane told me that I have to wait for the supervisor to call back and that there was nothing she could do, she couldn't even refer me to another supervisor. What kind of customer service is this???? In the meantime, I have a car payment and insurance coming up! They obviously don't care about their customers because they shouldn't deduct an amount like that without prior notification or warning. I'm not rich, I live paycheck to paycheck and am on a strict budget. If I owe them anything I am willing to pay installments. Almost forgot to mention, there's another "pending" bill for September for $582!!!!! Where are they getting these ridiculous prices from??????? A Galaxy A53 and a Google Pixel watch is NOT worth $1100 today! BE WARY OF GOOGLE FI, their service AND customer service SUCKS.

Terrible customer service

Terrible customer service
I initially used the chat option with support to try and get my phone repaired. I was told I could take it into a ubreakifix location to get it done.
Went to the location and the store hadn't been sent the information in order for it to be covered under the device protection plan. Went through another chat, was told the claim was successfully processed and it would take 2-3 minutes to be sent to the store. 40 minutes later and still nothing. Contacted support via call and was told the claim was being denied as a result of my account showing I've had a replacement already... I got the phone last year and it's never been replaced.
I've been going back and forth over emails since and it just keeps being passed around while the issue is steadily getting worse. I would not recommend using Google Fi.

It is impossible to stop a free trial

It is impossible to stop a free trial. I searched for WiFi providers and googlefi came up. Once I signed in and gave all my info I found out it was a cellular telephone. I don’t need one. I called them immediately within 20 minutes of me starting anything on the line for the Google. The lady kept going back and forth and could not help me as I am not all that tech savvy fellar. She later kept over talking. Said “yes Mr. Gregory have a good day” and hung up as I was still explaining what was going on. I would NOT recommend any google to anyone. Unfortunately I have a 10+ year email that I don’t believe I will be able to change over.
