Fiido D2S: Excellent bike. Trouble-free purchase.

I ordered the Fiido D2S from this company. They use PayPal as payment method, so I was reasonably confident about my purchase given the buyer protections that PayPal offer.

My bike was dispatched the next day via DPD and arrived exactly a week from the initial order date.

The bike was packaged well and arrived in pristine condition. I was very happy and impressed with the quality, especially given the very reasonable price. Everything was set up well and only the front headlight and display required slight adjustments/tightening. They include pretty much all the tools you require to perform any adjustments to the bike, which was a nice touch.

I did not have to deal with the customer services team as I never encounterd any issues. Therefore, I can't comment on this aspect of the company.

I'd certainly buy from this company again.

I will keep an order journal here :)

After trying to find as many reviews about this shop as possible, I figured might as well give it a shot using PayPal (buyers protection).

I will keep you guys posted about my progress here.

2nd of July* 2020 (correction made, I meant 2nd of July instead of June):
Ordered a Fiido D2s using PayPal. I noticed the PayPal account the money went to is Chinese (not per say anything wrong with it), but it was also linked to teamgee.com. Apparently this company makes and sells e boards. Obviously I went looking into reviews for teamgee.com. This other company luckily has more good than bad reviews (most of them seem legit anyway). They vary from happy customers, to some quality issues (which means they do legit deliver products) and rarely some haven't received their boards after a long time (somewhat worrying).

Anyway that is why I suggest paying with PayPal and cover yourself. Company seems to be legit, but its main company isn't into e bikes, it is an unofficial Fiido store and its parent company seems to be into e boards teamgee.com.

Will update as my order (hopefully) progresses.

4th of July:
Sent a message via their Facebook msg about avg. shipping time to The Netherlands on the 2nd of July and they did reply on the 4th of July.

8th of July:
My order still hasn't processed. Have inquired about it, but no response yet. I did notice a lot of the other bikes on the website sold out and restocks have been announced at around the 25th of July. I'm thinking my order will also be processed around that time, unfortunately. Waiting for an answer from their side now.

9th of July:
My hunch was correct. I received an email informing me that due to popularity they ran out of stock. Most of the restocks have had a pre-order priority, so my order would be processed after the ~24th of July. They asked me kindly if I was willing to wait it out or not.

Also, I found out the official Fiido website is actually fiido.com.cn and via that website and through the official Facebook page, actually noticed fiidoebike.com is also an official affiliate/website of theirs.

I eventually figured I wanted to order a D4s instead and cancel the D2s.

10th of July:
After mailing them and sending a Facebook message, they kindly cancel my order. I will need to wait for my funds to return before I can say all is well, but I received both a system message and an email saying my order has been canceled and funds will be sent back. They were quite fast on this account (took ~5 hours before I received my cancellation).

Also, the D4s I am ordering now is via Banggood.com. Another official affiliate of them (found out via fiido.com.cn). So hopefully that will go well.

My conclusion is that they are legit and an official Fiido outlet. Seems like due to popularity a lot of their stock sells out really fast. And I think like with a lot of these types of products (good quality and very affordable), there is just a lot of demand for it. Downside is that it is usually very difficult to answer everyones questions and troubles, so you have to be very patient. This last thing makes people very anxious (including me), because everything takes up time, from communication to shipping. And if there aren't many reviews out there, this will add fuels to the flame. Hence why I am writing this out! :)

Pros:
+Legit company, official Fiido store
+Very affordable bikes for the quality
+Good service
+Was able to get a refund (technically still need to confirm, will update asap)

Cons:
-Long restock time (due to popularity)
-Slow communication (also due to popularity)

I hope after reading all this, you can feel a bit more confident in buying from fiidoebikes.com. Just take into account that communication and shipping can be slow. But if you are patient, you will have a very affordable good quality e bike.

17th of July:
Received a refund confirmation on the 10th of July. 7 Days later, still awaiting my refund via PayPal. Also updated 3 star to 2 star. Will revise it when I see the refund actually coming into my account.

23rd of July:
So, after the refund confirmation it took a couple of days until I decided to contact them about when the funds are actually being processed and they replied saying I should contact PayPal instead. Eventually I decided to just process a dispute via PayPal in order to ensure my refund. Eventually I did get my refund on the 22nd of July, but it left me a bit -meh- on the service side. Not sure if I would have received my refund otherwise. It could be a longer processing time.

Also, ordered the Fiido D4s on Banggood, but it seems like they are restocking everywhere. Seems like Fiido is struggling to keep up with the demand.

That's all folks!

D2 order

I ordered the bike on 25th May, after 2 days I got the tracking code and after 7 days the bike arrived.

Had lots of questions because I couldn't find many information about them so I was a bit apreensive regarding ordering from them.

Always very responsive to my emails, good communication, but most important, the bicycle arrived on time and no faults.

Avoid this company

Typical Chinese company lowering the bar in everything that they do. I ordered a bike beginning of June they were stating that it should be available in stock from the middle of June. 15 of June in stock date was changed to 25 of June. I tried to contact them on the 28 of June and again on the 30 of June. No answer from customer support and no bike.

Still waiting for my order that's…

Still waiting for my order that's currently in customs. Reason for 2 stars is that customer service is poor. Takes them days to send a copy and paste script.
Update: Did receive an email from them saying that the bike is now in stock and just awaiting delivery. will check again in a week. Up to 3 stars.
Update: Decided to cancel the order as it was just taking too long, Now waitiing for a reply. Back to 2 stars.

I canceled the order...

I canceled the order I made after a few hours because of personal reasons. I contacted the customer care on Sunday and they answered after a few hours. The day after I received the full refund.

Very professional company, recommended. I hope to buy one of their product very soon
