Don’t bother taking it in Milano!! They charge you 80% more than normal taxis!!!

SCAM. FRAUD.
I have never interacted with freenowcom, I have never given them my bank details. However, freenowcom recently attempted to take money from my bank account. Luckily this was flagged as fraud by my bank and they got no money. My bank told me they would have acquired my card details via illegal means when I used my card elsewhere. The banks’s fraud protocol kicked in. How on earth this business continues to trade is beyond me.

Worst service, they charge for driver cancelling. Don't use at all. Use Uber instead.

Flagrant overcharging after agreeing a fixed price

Wish I had read Trust Pilot first Won't make this mistake again. Same experiences as recorded here, in this case could not cancel a prebooking I just made because the address was wrong. then charged a cancellaton fee

Worst app ever this always happens so many riders available but these stupid people never accept your jobs and this stupid app wants you to get a black cab all the time shit company must close down

Booked Taxi, App said 4 mins. Driver Accepted with 18 mins time. It's now been 40 mins and the driver that's accepted is approx 1 hours away AND I paid the priority fee. Totally crap service, you should say on the first page what the REAL wait times are and I would have booked 1 hour earlier.

And after a 40 min wait with the driver connected, he cancelled!!! Totally Crap!

Appalling service. Brebooked a taxi for a hospital appointment. Never showed up. Subsequently a message on App says driver cancelled pick up. This is not the first time. Totally UNRELIABLE. Avoid at all costs

Passenger rating is just insane and so very wrong. Drivers rating passengers is stupid. We're paying for a service. Does the seller of an item on Amazon rate a buyer? No, of course not. It's so stressful to behave in a perfect manner, and puts much stress on you to tip high each time. It absolutely sucks. My husband has gotten so many one stars as he's a frequent user. WHY? He behaves perfectly well but still gets them.

I pre booked a taxi through FreeNow in Dublin. A preemptive charge was held on my card. The taxi collected me and when I arrived at my destination the meter was less than the amount held on my card.

When I got out of the car the taxi driver charged me the larger amount even though the meter said less.

I contacted FreeNow immediately and they said I wasn’t overcharged as the maximum amount for the trip had not been charged to me. Regardless of what the meter said. They refused to refund me.

FreeNow is extortionately overpriced and their customer service is abysmal. Their drivers are untrustworthy. Plenty of other taxi apps to use out there. I won’t be using them again.

I was charged over €25 through the app when the cab meter said less than €13
Quote was around €20
We booked for 8:40am and were at the pickup at 8:25am so there can be no waiting fee.
The same trip from the rank at Gard du Nord was €14 in very heavy traffic
Their email contact software also does not work so unable to contact to raise the issue with them

Another £15 charged for “high demand” which is just grabbing extra money for nothing. Outrageous and I object. Liz Kahn

We used this app to make few trips during our vacation in Madrid. However, on multiple occasions, the app could not connect to any driver despite claiming in the beginning only 4-5 minutes wait time.I expected them to provide us with a ride when I pre booked one day in advance, again they failed and cancelled our reservation at the last minute, leaving us to fend for ourselves. Poor service with absolutely no accountability!
Another time, the app showed that the matched vehicle to be arriving in less than 5 minutes. But then even after about 20 minutes, the car didn’t arrive, nor did the driver respond to text messages or call. When I cancelled the trip after waiting for about 30 minutes, I was charged with a cancellation fee. What a scam!

Do not use this app in Italy. Drivers legally start the fair upon accepting your booking, so if you wait 5-10 minutes you can easily start your trip with a cost of 12+ Euro.

It's a complete scam and rip off. Terrible.

Booked FREENOW in Italy, price quoted on app is always incorrect to the amount you will pay, our driver had €7 on the meter as soon as we got into the cab. Then when questioned he replied it starts as soon as you book (which could be along way from the pickup ) this is the only place I have been where the meters is already running. When I complained they stated that this is what it is. Not very helpful and disappointed with the whole process, you want to enjoy your holiday not get ripped off.

They charged me 13 euros over in Dublin, Ireland, where the ads are everywhere, and the customer service refused to refund it. As I used my credit card, I disputed the transaction. Highly unreliable service and terrible customer service.

Avoid at all cost. I had a booked van from Paris towards the airport and it was cancelled with no notice at pick up time. We could have lost our flight if we wouldn't have found another van on time.

Last straw with this company. Every other time I used this app to get a cab, it took about as long to find a driver than it did for me to walk there and back seven times. Booked two trips recently using the advance booking to avoid this situation. The app decided to charge me twice for the last trip and not one customer service rep bothered responding to my dispute. Blocking on my card now and never using this service again. Disgusting abuse of the holding charge system

I have sometimes experienced the problem of the base fare (before service fees etc.) charged being higher than what it was showing on the taxi meter when I alight at my destination. Could this be a case of some taxi drivers deliberately (or inadvertently) not stopping the taxi meter in time and letting the base fare jump to the next increment?

At least some drivers have complained to me about the high % commission that FREENOW takes. One is left wondering whether some drivers are trying to claw back some of that commission they pay by letting the taxi meter run longer than justified?

If you want to get annoyed with an app that lies then use other services - there are plenty and that do not misrepresent information whilst waiting!

Do not use the service - customer service don’t care about their clients and probably not about their drivers!
