Scam - Avoid at all costs
I dont normally write reviews but this company deserves one because they rob people in day light. never trust these thieves with your bank details or booking a taxi with them , i was charged £56 for a 15 miles journey and invoice is not available on the app to view. customer support is terrible once they have your money they dont care or help you explain the costs . I would recommend using uber or another ethical comapny and never trust these thieves , 50% off for first 3 rides for new customer is also a fraud as you will be charged more than full price when you take a taxi and they are ready to steal your money.
deserve 0 stars , thieves

Pat M No-Show Do NOT USE!
Do not use, no showed on an airport ride from shoreditch and put us in a bind. I would not recommend Pat M as a driver.

Pre-booked a cab but when the time came we got a message 'no driver available'. Useless.
Will show you one price and then charge another
Was shown a price of no more than 50 euros from Dublin Airport to the Mater Private. Booked it, 50 was taken to cover the maximum, like the previous 7 other trips when using the app.
Got there and was charged 74 euros. Not great for the person who was with me who has 'heart failure'.
Raised with Complaints, really poor. Just offering more vouchers which I won't be using. Blamed the drivers or the customer for not speaking to the Driver.
Could not believe how many 1 star reviews there are when I came on to Trustpilot! Turns out I am not the only one with a similar experience.
I was advised to contact (www dot) transportforireland (dot)ie/support/taxi-compliments-complaints by the complaints team to escalate further. If you are in Ireland, and have had a similar experience you may want to as well, this company needs to be fully investigated in my opinion.
Be careful all!
Good service
I had made a bad review but now I can understand what was going on. When we put the destination address to make a quote, the app shows a promotional value and a regular one strikethrouged. But when we confirm the ride it’s the regular value that’s pre-authorised on our bank account. Only after the ride do they decrease the pre-authorised value for the promotional one. I don’t know why they do that as other companies already pre-authorise the real promotional value, but it doesn’t matter to me since the final value is the right one. In other aspects, the app works very well, sometimes with the best prices.
Even if no taxis are available you will still be charged.
We booked a taxi and there was none available. In spite of the fact, we were charged anyway.
This happed in Rome near Hoxton and the amount statement was CHECKCARD 10/05 FRN*HOLD.FREE-NOW.COM MILANO RM
Buyer Beware!
This was a fraudulent charge.
Appalling service
Appalling service. Made me pay 57.40 GBP for a car that never turned up. No tracking device , no phone number to make contact with driver. Now I paid double with another taxi, and have to fight to get my money back that they held on my credit card ! Am furious. Will never use again.

Such a pathetic fake site that it charged me full payment of 38 euros upfront in the name PHEV . Driver didn't come and be cancelled the trip. No refund. Their website customer service doesn't answer at all
Horrendous experience
Horrendous experience! We decided to use FreeNow for a taxi from Stansted into London after a late night flight.
Between 2 of us, we ordered 6 taxis - all of them cancelled after accepting our ride. On several occasions this was after 10-15 mins of waiting.
After over an hour of frustration, we never did get our ride. This will be the first and last time we attempt to give FreeNow our business and highly recommend you avoid.
Completely useless Company. App failed me.
Booked taxi in Oxford for 07.15. At that time the app said the booking was cancelled. I missed my train.
Completely useless and advise you to avoid using the app.
I pre booked a taxi hours before
I pre booked a taxi hours before. It cancelled. No alternative given. Had to wait for 40 minutes till a local taxi picked me up
Repeatedly cancelled rides where the…
Repeatedly cancelled rides where the driver decides not to bother coming, advance bookings cancelled at the last minute,, bookings cancelled with no notification. Bookings made in advance not confirmed till the last minute. Chat useless. Surely once a freenow accepts there is a contract to complete the job otherwise what is the point - a bunch of charlatans
You pay more than you accepted
The App shows different prices than you are charged
This app is a complete ripoff
This app is a complete ripoff. They do not deliver for the price they quote. I was charged E70 for a 15 minutes drive to the airport that was quoted as E36. I complained and was informed that it must have been the route the driver charged took. It was a 15 minute drive and there was no traffic. Do not be conned. Do not use this service. It is not like Uber or Lyft where you pay what is quoted.
Free NOW taxi app. AVOID !!!This was a dreadful experience I will…
This was a dreadful experience I will never repeat.
First driver arrived. I have fractured foot so went to go in front. The floor was disgusting. Food remnants etc. Said I would not sit there. He directed three of us into back which wasn’t much better. Firstly I imagine I should get into a clean vehicle when I am paying . Embarrassed as I was treating the other two people
Second one was an abusive driver when I asked for advise on previous experience he told me it’s PEOPLE who make taxis dirty !
He said I should have answered my phone which was on silent but I was using the app and could see him. I will never use this company again. I said I was an elderly woman and found him rude. His answer was “I’m not far from that myself “
Last 5 trips cancelled
Last 5 trips cancelled. Two of them 5 minutes before pick up time. Used to be so good, now such a terrible service. Forced me to use Uber so they are shooting themselves in the foot.
They will force you to PAY DOUBLE the…
They will force you to PAY DOUBLE the advertised price: you book a taxi to the airport, so they know you have an urgency to get there at a certain time. They confirm someone will be there at the time you need them, but no identification or phone number is provided. The taxi driver gets very-very close to the pickup point but doesn’t show, instead he waits hidden until you start becoming nervous thinking you will not make it in time. Then you open the app to check for your delayed pickup -a deliberate created delay- and they come to the rescue giving you the opportunity to book “another” taxi, but this time they will ask you DOUBLE the price betting on your desperation to get to the place. Then, only when you have paid double, a taxi driver appears magically in just one minute (wow… who could be so fast?) If this is not putting a gun in your head to take your money I don’t know what it is!!!! Shame on you “FreeNow”!!!!!
Drivers are pulling scams so they can keep £6 cancellation fees
Drivers are pulling scams so they can keep £6 cancellation Fees.
This was done to me twice in one week, which lead me to moving back to Uber.
The first driver parked a few roads away and when i made my way to him, he drove away and then proceeded to circle half of london but did not cancel my job so the wait time kept going up and up - He refused my call when i tried him around 5 times. Finally forcing me to cancel at a £6 fee.
The second driver actually called me and told me he wasn't going to make it to me for some time and advised me to cancel. I questioned the cancellation fee and he assured me i would not be charged. Guess what? I was charged.
After wasting my time contacting customer services i was given a credit for the first job (I want the cash back) and after a second round of emails was refunded for the second job.
Customer services fed me a load of excuses for the first drivers behaviour which clearly were not factual.
Extremely disappointing as i had started to use FreeNow quite a lot but will avoid until they sort out this practice of enabling drivers to make £6 by scamming customers.
Incredible waste of my time
