Chris Fry is a charlatan and incompetent, he should be disbarred from practicing as a "solicitor".
I was lucky. Owing to their superior "we know it all attitude" they stated my case was out of time. I have successfully filed my case with another Solicitor. I am pleased that these gaslighting liars are no longer in business.
Fry, is working for Scott Moncrife, Solicitors. Drop him an email and let him know how you feel.
These scum raised people's hopes then dashed them!
Write to the SRA and let them know how Fry let you down and should be disbarred.
Would not recommend
Review based on my experience with Fry Law Ltd.
In 2019, Fry Law Ltd. agreed to represent my son (disability discrimination). Chris Fry of Fry Law Ltd took on the case. Fry Law missed an important legal deadline and as a result, I lost the opportunity to proceed with the discrimination claim on behalf of my son.
I raised a formal complaint with Fry Law in January 2020. Fry Law upheld the complaint and agreed compensation. Fry Law then went silent and ceased all contact with me. The compensation was not paid.
I referred the case to the Legal Ombudsman. The case was upheld in May 2021 and Fry Law were ordered to pay more compensation that was originally offered. Fry Law then failed to pay the compensation as directed to do so by the Legal Ombudsman.
Fry Law went into administration in September 2021.
I would absolutely not recommend Christopher Fry (Chris Fry), formerly of Fry Law Ltd and would suggest you read further reviews on Google Reviews and Trustpilot.
Absolutely disgusting treatment by this…
Absolutely disgusting treatment by this company ! Strung me along for months over a medical discrimination act against a well known Wholesaler to have another solicitors firm contact me who took over some of the cases who informed me FRY LAW had no money to pay for my case to be listed in court and so had missed the deadline and HAD NOT EVEN BOTHERED TO TELL ME THEMSELVES ! I cannot believe i am left with no route to sue the said wholesaler ! Sorry but its rather poor practice to lie and not let people know they had no money in the bank to even lay the papers in court ! So now i can try myself but could end up paying the defendants court fees as they could argue that the deadline had passed so we are out of time ! I think its shocking that no other solicitor seems that these cases are worth fighting for on our behalf ! Furious ! I feel for the others also in same boat who have posted reviews here with same problem via this firms shambolic handling of our cases ! It may be worth starting a group and trying find a solicitor to take us on as a class action .
Shameful
Wish I had dealt with a discrimination case against a supermarket myself instead of asking fry law to help. Absolutely disgusting what they have done and I doubt that that type of person is hanging their head in shame. I heard nothing from them for months, every email and phonecall ignored. Then they transferred cases to another firm and I then find out that the deadline for my case has passed and fry law have done NOTHING. So I can't pursue it myself. A charity was using them for their cases. I hope they faired better.

Abysmal
This firm has since gone under, Christopher porky pig Fry has obviously lied about being an ‘advocate’ for this countrys most vulnerable and has upped sticks and left.
When you look on Google it shows the business has permanently closed, they’re all a bunch of crooks passing you from pillow to post. They don’t answer any emails whatsoever. They’ve dragged my case on so much, that I’ve now missed the deadline to be able to take any legal action myself.
Sometimes its best to fight your own corner and not allow these ‘corporations/companies’ to take ones business. Never again will I used such a poor law firm.
I have been trying to get an update…
I have been trying to get an update from my solicitor for weeks now and nothing.. I constantly have to chase them for any updates.
Please please can someone let me know what is going on. Nobody ever answers the phones or responds to emails...

They took my case.
They took my case.
Then suddenly they stopped all the communications. Even don't bother to response to my emails ...
Time wasters...
A dreadful experience
A dreadful experience up to now from this awful firm of solicitors, every negative comment made on the list of reviews is accurate, they are completely unprofessional, rude, they dont return your calls or emails, they cause the very people they're supposed to be representing nothing but heart ache, upset and misery and have a total disregard for the disabled, I wouldn't recommend anyone using them, so far they have shown me no evidence that they have done anything with my claim.
My advice to anyone who might be reading this if you do have any issues with this firm then report them to the Legal Ombudsment and even contact the Solicitors Regulation Authority and make your complaint official.
Fry Law! Single biggest regret!
Fry Law stumbled across my research into finding a firm who not only advocates for disability but also has integrity! My husband is covered and protected by the Equality act 2010. He was subjected to disability discrimination by two very well known consumers. We contacted Fry Law in March 2021 to see if they would take the case? They agreed! That was my single biggest regret! That have failed to respond to numerous emails and phone calls and now we have lost out in taking the cases to court as the deadline is the 3rd of this month. I should have represented my husband myself! @chrisfry! Please do not use disability as a platform to big up your law firm! Firms like Frylaw, not only frustrate and cause those who are vulnerable more distress but make them feel as bad as those who subjected them to discrimination initially. Anyone who has suffered such discrimination should avoid this company at all cost and advocate for yourself! I will be lodging a formal complaint with the “solicitors regulation authority” and will also applying to my local county court to sue Frylaw for two cases lost due their inadequate service.
Appalling, unprofessional service to clients
UPDATE - September 2021
Still no answers to my emails or calls.
Original post - June 2021
I first spoke to this firm in December 2020 regarding discrimination and victimisation. By January 2021 they had taken my case, however, the solicitor assigned to my case (Lyndsay) did not take out insurance for my case (no win no fee) nor did she submit an extension to the courts. Many promises were broken by her, such as preparing letters to the other party, time frames and so on.
After several emails and WhatsApp messages to her and calls to the firm, with no joy, I was finally given Chris Frys email. I emailed him with the issues and he asked if I wanted to change solicitor in his firm, to which I said yes. I could not change firm as I had two weeks to submit an extension to the courts through a solicitor.
Chris said it would take him two weeks to investigate what had happened with Lyndsay, but I heard nothing back. Diana took over my case and had to rush to the courts to get an extension on the case. However, as no insurance was taken out for my case I was asked to pay the court fee of nearly £500 or I could risk losing the case without the extension.
In an email (April 2021), Chris said that the court fees would be returned once the insurance was taken out. Sadly, I heard nothing after they took my money to save my case. I have had no confirmation of an extension in my case nor any updates on where my case stands.
I emailed Diana but I recieved an automated email saying to contact Carrie.
Carrie did not introduce herself until I emailed her. On the 2nd June 2021, she
then stated in an email that she needed 2 weeks to review my case and also mentioned her fee. Yet, nothing regarding my case has been discussed to date.
Carrie stated 'I am an Associate and Trial Lawyer at Fry Law and my charging rate is £xxxxx per hour. I am supervised by Mr Chris Fry, our Senior Partner, whose charging rate is £xxxxxx per hour.'
Considering the firm knows the full extent of my case and my circumstances, no one from the firm has appeared empathetic nor have they conducted themselves in a professional manner.
Chris said he was running a busy law firm, but I have not seen any work conducted for my case. Instead of focusing on his clients, he constantly posts about vulnerable/disabled rights on twitter and Facebook, yet he has no time for those of his clients who are in positions trying to fight for their rights.
The last email I received was regarding a partnership with leigh Day. I responded asking about the fees I paid and asked what would happen if I changed firms. I received no response.
I regret my decision for chosing Fry Law. I have suffered nothing but raised stress levels, anxieties as well as an increase in my primary and other secondary conditions. And now I may even be out of pocket. The respect towards disabled/vulnerable clients is non existent. The firm leaves you feeling unimportant and unsupported.
Dreadful upsetting experience...
Dreadful upsetting experience. First contacted them five weeks ago on 29th March 21, and only ever had automated responses.
On the initial online form, I divulged extremely sensitive information about why I need help. I regret doing that so much, as I can't pull it back.
I've messaged reminders / phoned a total of 5 times over the 5 weeks, and this is all I get, and repeated:
"Re: Your recent enquiry to Fry Law
Thank you for your recent enquiry asking if we are able to assist you with your potential case.
We are currently experiencing a high volume of enquiries so we may take a little while to respond.
We aim to assess new requests for assistance at a weekly meeting and where we consider the merits of individual cases and the grounds upon which a potential case could be pursued.
During that meeting we look to decide which cases we feel have prospects of success that are greater than 60% based upon our experience, case law and supporting legislation.
Before we are able to confirm whether your potential case has good grounds to recommend proceeding with we may also ask you to provide us with further information or documents in support of your allegations.
This process of risk assessment sometimes means that we are unable to get back to you with a decision immediately"
Considering they are supposed to stand up for the vulnerable, there can be no bigger insult than ignoring us. I wish I'd checked their reviews first, as this is a very common theme.
I could deal with them not taking on my case, but not this. They of all people know that discrimination claims have a short timescale to submit to court, so this is deplorable unprofessional behaviour.
The lady who took my final attempt call today apologised and was clearly embarrassed.
I now need to find out how I can have the personal information deleted that they hold about me. More stress and upset for me, and so much time has been wasted when I didn't know if I should look elsewhere for help...
p.s
At the base of this review form it says: Please use your Fry Law Reference Number, so Fry Law can respond to your review'
Is this a joke? I never got as far as being given a reference number!
Fry Law can see my name and the date I applied online to them if they care to try and defend their practices.
Google online reviews for them actually only amount to TWO STARS, where I see my story is exactly mirrored by many others.

Stuart White at Fry Law was our chosen Solicitor.
We found Stuart to be fast, efficient and always professional. We especially liked that he was always available if we had any queries or questions and explained everything in simple terms which helped us to feel confident through every stage of the process.
We are pleased to say, that with Stuarts expert guidance, we won our case and we would not hesitate to use their services again. I would thoroughly recommend Stuart and Fry Law.
Amazing team, 10/10, Definitely Recommend
My case was assigned to Carrie around a year ago - she has been so supportive and helpful throughout, made time for me to discuss things via telephone and explain things I didn’t understand, and most importantly she listened and cared. She really takes the time to make her clients feel valued and well supported, and has kept me in the loop at all stages of the claim.
After my experience which led to the claim, it meant the world to have someone who cared, listened and took me seriously, especially considering nobody had done prior to me contacting Fry Law. This is a law firm full of compassionate people, who genuinely care about their clients and want to help people wherever possible. I could not have achieved the outcome I did without the advice and support from Carrie, and all of her hard work.
Thank you so much Carrie for everything you’ve done - I can’t put into words how grateful I am! I’m also aware there will have been others involved in the case and helping out, who I did not have any direct contact with - many thanks to everyone who’s helped over the past year!
Would also like to say a big thanks to Rachael Gaffney, who was a big help back in the early stages before I was assigned to Carrie. I’m sure I probably hassled with a lot of daft questions on what to do, and she was always willing to take some time to explain things to me on the phone!
Cannot recommend Fry Law enough - hopefully I won’t encounter any difficulties with my disability in the future that would require legal action, however if I did I would not hesitate to return to Fry Law - an incredible team of people who have worked their absolute hardest to get the best possible outcome for me!

Supermarket delivery service during lockdown
My elderly mother, 92 years old, could not get the supermarket which she had used for many years to continue to deliver because of lockdown. My local MP suggested I deliver for her - a 180 mile round trip! Chris Fry got involved and my mother rang me to say that the supermarket had started ringing her again so she could place an order and they would deliver. Thank you Chris
Many thanks Carrie
After a somewhat difficult start with Fry Law when Carrie Clewes took on my case it was dealt with in an exteremely quick , efficient and friendly way and brought to a very successful conclusion. Carrie is a great asset to Fry Law and if you want to get the job done ask for her. Many thanks Carrie
Fry helped me to win my case
I have used Fry Law and had a excellent solicitor helping me deal with my claim for discrimination due to my Deafness. It was a long drawn out process, mainly my fault as my emails have been playing up and I also had to await for my husband to translate the 'legalese' as it was just too much for me to understand the process. We also been using SignLive video with interpreter translating on our phone call which was fantastic to see such a company being very Deaf Aware and ensuring that I understood each step. Would not hesitate to use this company again for similar issues. 5* across the board. Thank you.
