Installed the app was charged 14.99 cancelled the subscription as adblocks instructions for iPhone then noticed was charged again even though I’m unsubscribed according to the app. I had to create an account on the Adblock website and unsubscribe again from there. From the reviews I can see this happens to most people. Unsubscribing the way they tell you to doesn’t stop them charging you.
I had to figure out that Adblock VPN does not work with Linux OS. Yet they take your money. When asking for assistance you'll get a bot, or a self-help screen. Customer service is virtually non-existent.
Honestly the most pathetic customer service after I realised that some random PayPal monthly payment was setup at different costs. Cancelled the PayPal payments and now they refuse to give me my money back.
Not worth speaking to their customer service as they are like continuous robots that respond with the same email on a continuous loop despite providing evidence of the charges.
Not worth using the service, just watch with ads as the application itself doesn't even work anyway.

Adblock now spams users with ads.
Have been sending them them a £10 monthly direct debit donation for 3 years, but today have stopped it. Adblock is now showing pop-up adverts for "Premium" version of Adblock near the top right of the screen, and today it opened up a new window promoting the cookie blocking feature.
Adblock is now doing the what it says it prevents.... Popup Ads.

This adblocker is just amazing. It does not only completely block all the weird ads that show up on websites but it also blocks pop up ads, video ads, and music ads. The good thing is that its also free unlike other adblockers that ask you to pay right after you've installed the app. On the daily average it saves me from manually spending 5 hours skipping ads. I have now been using it for about 5 months and in total it has blocked 36,812 ads for me. Cannot survive without it.
Amazing app although it hasn't been blocking youtube ads for some time

This really should be a 5 star app but they have just started pop-ups spamming for premium. I get it, you need to make some kind of income from an amazing app you've given out free for years but there must be some other way of advertising premium service than pop-up spam forced on your users, the very thing that your app has built its reputation on preventing. I am actually one of the users that might have got premium but not now, not with this behavior.
UPDATE 2: They seem to have fixed this since the time I wrote this review because I've not seen any pop-ups from them for a while but I'm leaving my rating up and actually downgrading it from 2 stars to 1 star because while the review was legit they tried to get my review taken down by first requesting my personal details including FULL NAME and PHONE NUMBER, and when that didn't work they tried to flag this review and get it taken down as not a genuine review of their product. Unfortunately for them I was able to verify my usage with trustpilot and for good measure I verified this trustpilot account too. If they'd just replied to this review with an honest response I would have listened but simply trying to get it flagged because their rating was bombing is in my opinion shady practice and is customer relations deserving of a 1 star rating.
UPDATE 3 (FEB24):
1. Just had entire tab force open with a full page advert for adblock premium.
2. Youtube now bottlenecks browsers using this extension so if you try to watch youtube with this Adblock active, the video will lag and buffer to th point of being unwatchable. This is a fact, i have tested it personally and there's a reddit thread of people with the same experience.

I've had this AdBlock for only a few weeks and it's block nearly 7,000 ads, FOR FREE. This website has completely changed how I use the internet. It's now the first thing I'm downloading on a new laptop.
Adblock is now asking users to upgrade, with those pop-ups near the top right of the chrome window.
Interesting. Adblock is now doing what it says it prevents. Ads. For itself.
I understand Adblock is a business, however have some integrity guys. Adblock spamming us with ads is beyond ironic.

honestly just amazing. blocks every ad and if it misses something you have the option to hide it, even if the feature is a little wonky it works so well 99% of the time!!!! i love it so much
only thing wrong is how it asks me to send them money everytime i change or update my browser,i sent them some money once and NOT AGAIN!

These poor reviews have to be from people confusing this adblocker for another, I've yet to run into issues with AdBlock for the 7 years I've been using it,
I used to see Adware 24/7 before and constant YouTube ads - adblocker has significantly improved my online quality of life
I literally can't use Chrome without it - not sure if they offer iOS/Android adblocking but I just use Opera in that case.

Last month I downloaded Total AdBlock by mistake, believing it was an upgrade of the 5-star Edge AdBlock. Although I was puzzled by the split in reviews - either 5-star or 1-star with few ratings in between - based on my positive experience with Edge AdBlock, I downloaded the extension anyway. It did not go well!
Miscellaneous, non-stop ads filled the entire screen, and ads for Total AdBlock itself popped up on virtually every click. Frustrated, I disabled both extensions. The relief was overwhelming! I left a 1-star review!
Not until I chatted online with an agent did I realize that there are two ad block extensions with similar names. I have re-enabled the Edge version and continue to be 5-star happy with it.

I've found that Adblock works extremely well on Chrome106.0.5249.126 on my Galaxy tablet.
It removes ALL the annoying ads and delivers the web pages as they are designed to be seen.
It's particularly good at removing them from YouTube videos.
All this is provided for FREE
It is possible to send payment to the company (a paid subscription or a one off amount of your choosing) if you wish to do so
It seems these ad blocks are sometimes effective, but free sports streaming sites, for instance, can now obviously detect your ad blocker, so you don't get past go. The other thing people need to think about is that a lot of free sites we access are free because they have ads - but if everybody has an ad blocker, such free sites are no longer viable and will go out of business eventually. The reply to my comment by AdBlock is appreciated and makes sense. I don't mind ads on free sites as long as they are not too intrusive or try to hi-jack you to somewhere else!

i wanted to get a monthly try and it said on the payment slip i would get that, so I went through with paying and was charged for a whole year. I am trying to get a refund since 2 days and wrote already 5 emails asking for a refund, I could cancel the subscription online they didnt offer a payback till now even they say they contact you after one day latest mostly sooner. since now i don´t even know if that email communication is working nobody has contacted me so far. I also can not register on there website it always says sth like invalid token. apart from the vpn being worse to others i used before is the costumer service up till now not existing at all. all in all a very useless and tiresome experience
yeah I am just realising that I am writing a review for the getadblockVPN, but some how it was filed under a getadblock.com review,
Still the VPN is affiliated with them or at least they are offering the VPN on their app as an additional feature. the free getadblock is great but their VPN and their service was very disappointing, they onl answer my mails after I contacted paypal and they wrote to them. then they wanted me to tell paypal that they paid me and refunded me although they have not done this. it was a very strange experience , corporate careless and /or on purpose abuse

Below was posted by myself. It seems that I was mislead by a company called TOTAL adblock which is not related to Adblock.
My apologies.
That said is Adblock is doing something about this misuse of their good name?
On the 9th of this month I signed upfor the TotalAdblock and paid using PayPall 35,09 euro.
A few hours later they agian took the same amount and another 47,19 euro.
I have no idea why and did not give permission to do so, at least not to my knowledge. I immediately send them a message for a ful refund (82,28 euro), however they did not reply, also not on my reminder. I have asked PayPal to intervene
