Green Eco Energy 

We too have just had an unsolicited call from Alex. He tried to sell us loft insulation and despite being polite and saying I wasn't interested he kept on talking. Hung up in the end.

Got a call from "Alex" telephone number 01202 143213 saying he was my local energy advisor. Started talking about loft insulation. Asked which company he was calling from and he advised "The Green Eco Centre" in southwest London. As I was saying I wasn't interested he hung up. Scam.

Unsolicited call from Chris.
When I queried his company name and where he had his information, he hung up on me.
Presumably this is a scam.

I would have given zero stars if an option.
I was told my insulation was inadequate and I will have mould
I asked how do they know snd what is your phone number … he hung up

The number 01202143188 does not accept calls.

Had a call from Chris supposedly from 'The Green Eco Centre' trying to get me to agree to a loft survey due to expected issues with insulation and potential mould.
I asked him if this was a marketing call, he put the phone down on me...

Call from Chris - I just had a call from 01202 143 189 from someone calling themselves Chris from the Green Eco Centre. Sounded a bit dodgy, so did a search and found that a lot of people have had the same call.

Had a call from 'Chris' this morning claiming to be from Green Eco Centre in London. Number is in fact a Bournemouth number - 01202143186. Same story as everyone else. Asked how he thought my house had 'possible' condensation issues, yet he didn't know my name nor my address. Couldn't answer any of my questions. I knew this was a scam and kept the call going as I had the time to do so!

Called me to tell me that my loft was damp and needed new insulation. I told him that I was up there yesterday and it was drier than a witches fanny. He told me that they needed to survey it as it didn't comply with current regulations. I asked him how he knew what insulation I had in my loft, he replied that it's listed on a government website that says I'm one of the last houses in the area that hasn't had new loft insulation fitted. I asked how they knew I hadn't fitted insulation myself and had they put a camera up there? He said could he get his boss to ring me in 20 minutes to arrange an appointment. I asked how they mangaged to put a camera in my loft without a key to my house. He asked again if his boss could ring in 20 minutes. I asked how they managed to get a key to my house? He rang off. Seemed like a nice chap. I never got to ask if they'd take the body away when they fitted the loft insulation.

Just had a call from an Green Eco energy representative from the eco centre. He told my husband that our loft installation was probably out of date, causes damp in some case. Asked my husband what age bracket he was in, He told him as a surveyors report usually cost £75 but he was in the age bracket it would cost him zero. My husband asked once the surveyor came and told us our installation was not suitable. What next? and how much would it cost us to replace, any free grants available? He tried to stick to the script. Told him its a scam and not to phone ever again.

Wasn't an option to give zero rating, Robo-Chris's creator needs shutting down..agree wholeheartedly with all previous comments- thanks for confirming.

Like others before me I have received a call from the robotic Chris. What a load of bull....! I am waiting now for his manager to ring me so i can waste his time and give him a piece of my mind. Do not be taken in by these people!

Like everyone before me I had a call from Chris... It p;:es me off because some poor vulnerable people get sucked into these scams. 🤬

Same experience as everyone else here (what's your age range; free code if you are over 50; manager will phone back to arrange). Good grief the guy robotically kept to his script - I really almost thought he was a recording at times. I hung up on him in the end when he kept repeating the same questions verbatim instead of answering any of mine. This is 100% a scam. Steer clear!!

I've just had the call from Chris too. He was reading from a script and unable to answer questions and suspiciously cagey about website details. Clearly a scam so best not to engage. Am worried I may have given too many details but I think I only gave my name and age range.

Like the last responder, called out of the blue by Chris from the green eco centre in london. Started tellimg me b*ll*cks about how unsound rockwool and fibreglass roof insulation was, how it caused condensation and other problems. Asked age - told him my group and started searching him. He tried sticking to his script, but I told him I was registered with the TPS and he shouldn't even be calling me. I stopped talking and he hung up.

Scam company cold calling - avoid

like Linda earlier posted, and i have copied most of her post as its the same for me, this happened today 10th Nov
Chap called Chris rang out of the blue saying he was from The Green Ecocentre and that they wanted to send someone to survey our loft insulation. Said yellow fibrous insulation on loft floors is no longer acceptable and that they use spray on insulation directly onto underside of roof. He asked for my age range and, when asked, confirmed that other houses in our road have been surveyed. I started asking him if they could check our wall insulation but he went back to his script and tried to get a suitable time for his manager to call me back. I asked for a website to check the veracity of the call and low and behold he said there isnt one and i ended the call.

Same experience as earlier contributors. Second call I’ve taken today from this or a very similar number. This guy said his name was John (probably changes with every call!). He gave the script about the ‘yellow/white fluffy’ loft insulation, had we got it? now not approved blah blah blah. I asked where he was calling from Green Eco Centre, south London. I asked for the website address - he immediately hung up. Later in the day, the same guy rang again from another Bournemouth number, Hung up pretty quickly when I pointed that out to him!

I keep getting these calls from obviously fake 01202 numbers. Today's was from 01202 143167, yesterday's from 143159 and 143172. Keep blocking them but the numbers change by two digits each time. If I pick up the line invariably goes dead but yesterday there was a voice at the other end (sounded like a recorded voice). I politely asked them not to call my number again. This is a loft insulation scam attempting to enter your house to do a survey on the loft as they claim your insulation doesn't meet current standards. Don't be taken in by it.
