Green Eco Energy

Had a call from someone purporting to be from the green eco center offering loft surveys to check insulation for mold (!). He kept asking my age and if i was over 80 and when pressed said that they spray foam on inside of loft against the tiles , underfelt etc. making it airtight. WOW what a good way to rot your timbers. THIS IS A SCAM - DO NOT LET THEM IN YOUR HOUSE

Scammers. Chris has now called me at least 30 times so far using a variety of false phone numbers. I block each one but they phone again using another spoofed number.

Totally endorse everything everyone else has said. This is a scam. Green Eco Centre doesn't exist as an organisation. They will not answer any questions. Do not give away any information to them. There is no website, no company name . The sales people read from a script and hang up if you dont comply with it.

Company called repeatedly, did not identify themselves until the second time of asking, talked over my questions and claimed they were handling the free survey for all properties in my area. When I asked who they were handling it on behalf of, the call ended.

I have had repeated calls from this organisation. Each time we establish that I am a leaseholder and the call is terminated. I make two observations: (1) Green Eco Energy do not track their sales' calls to stop calling the same number over and over again, (2) Green Eco Energy can establish which properties are freehold and which are leasehold from the Land Registry. Green Eco Energy sales teams do not do their homework and keep on repeating calls to ineligible properties. Pretty shoddy business practice; I would avoid these people even if your property does qualify for their product offer.

Called a couple of minutes ago by a well spoken chap calling himself John.
When I picked up the phone without speaking, he launched into his spiel about home insulation. He asked if I was the homeowner, to which I replied "Who do you work for?" Green Eco Centre, was the reply.
I told him to fųck off, and hung up. ;o)

Avoid these people , they ask a lot of questions but avoid answering questions to them.It’s very obvious to anyone with a brain cell how phoney they are. I don’t know what the scam is but I don’t think they are going to give “ customers “ a good service.

Just as all the others explained. Except I looked at the website which was all in French, the guy who called back very quickly was very dismissive when I said the Trust Pilot reviews were bad, then he hung up.
Avoid like the plague!

Just had a phone call from this robot Chris, claiming properties with loft insulation could experience damp or mould - not our experience. We were offered a full free survey because of our age. The phone number was 01202 143046. I put the phone down on him as I couldn't get any proper answers to my questions. Must be a SCAM

Also called today, same questions as others, same manager verification but when challenged about checking their credentials to protect against scammers, they simply wanted my details and at no time provided company details. After final challenge they hung up verifying they can't be genuine.

Same as the others except when I started asking about the company he asked if I was 50-80 or over 80. When I said neither he hung up.

A scam for the elderly maybe. Lots of scaremongering.

Had a call from Green Eco offering the free survey. They just keep repeating the same story when challenged. Apparently their manager will verify all when he calls! I think not.

Cold called by a robot called Chris. Clearly a recording as at one point he was slightly out of phase :-)
Please be aware, appears to be a scam

Received a call from 'Chris' my designated 'Energy Advisor' (on behalf of HMG - cannot recollect which ministry / department he quoted) - I did not wish to divulge too much info hence I asked him who he worked for and he told me the Green Eco Centre in West London and confirmed that is where he was calling from which was strange since my phone showed he was calling from a Bournemouth area number hence I said I had his number and would give him a call back. Having read other reviews I guess he can wait some time for that call certainly until hell freezes over !

And Chris again (25/10/21)….ditto to previously 01202159732. I too think it’s a robot with set spiel

The caller (Patrick) just hung up on me. I agree with all points mentioned in the previous 2/3 reviews.

I’ve had exactly the same experience with a call from Green Eco Centre in South West London but from Patrick withe exactly the same offer. This is the third such call from him always ending with him putting the phone down.

Received a cold call this morning from a very well spoken, guy called 'Chris', claiming to be ringing from, the 'Green Eco Centre' in South West London - whilst on the phone I looked up the phone number - 01202 159730, which is the Bournemouth area code!!
This is how the SCAM works 'Chris' offered a full survey of the loft insulation to see if it conformed to newly introduced government standards and mentioned a detailed written report with a quote for work guaranteed for 12 months. Also tried scaremongering about damaging the fabric of old buildings if the wrong loft insulation was in place.
THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM - that at first sounds very plausible but when questioned, the answers go round and round in circles and it is almost as if they are recorded! When I asked where the company was based, no answer was forthcoming. Reference was made to Government subsidies which actually finished in March of this year and also to a possible age subsidy. !!!!PLEASE DO NOT BE TAKEN IN !!!!!

REMEMBER - IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT USUALLY IS!
