Great Customer Service

The issue was that I carelessly broke a fly rod section. Having remembered the promise of a lifetime replacement guarantee I made contact. The initial call Centre contact wasn't so good and I did, admittedly, need to elevate the problem to management. However, this resulted in a prompt and astonishingly pleasing outcome. The Global Project / Product Manager has personally intervened and, as my beloved Missionary rod is no longer in production, sent me a replacement 6 section 9ft Wing rod, and a new reel to match, and some goodies.

NOW that's what customer service looks like!

Thank you Mathew & Alastair

Brand new Greys 9’ stalker rod

Brand new Greys 9’ stalker rod, in description says for use with lighter carp reels.
However a Shimano 4000 is loose at the reel seat, caught a 8lb carp and can only describe the reel seat as wobbling loose.
Contacted Greys, spoke with Heather and tbh was no use what so ever.
Advice is buy a bodge job insert from them at my cost.
That’s the short story of 30 emails of basically Heather telling me it’s not a fault on it, even after photo and video evidence was provided.
Heathers not even felt, touched or actually seen the Greys 9’ stalking rod, yet she knows there’s nothing wrong with it, and tried telling me to believe her nonsence, £99.99 down the drain as it’s useless. Just for the record Heather, Mr Newbury I’m sure you will remember.

Terrible service ,wanted a new bearing…

Terrible service ,wanted a new bearing for a Greys gts900 reel so emailed pure fishing parts.

Received a curt one line reply not available in stock and not even a suggestion about helping to source one .
It is not as if the the reel was that old.

Greys fishing gear wil certainly not be at the top of my list in future.

Go for any other make not owned by Pure

Excellent experience dealing with…

Excellent experience dealing with Martin in the Spares Team today. After my much loved Prodigy PB 2 1/4 snapped at the spigot. Martin, identified and replaced with a nominal fee, free delivery. Hopefully be with me next week. This is in contrast to the service received from Glasgow Angling where I purchased the rod over the telephone, where the guy who answered the phone was evasive and unhelpful and wouldn't accept pictures of the break and wanted me to send back at my cost only for him to refuse the return on the basis that the rod had been put under pressure, well of course it had, it had a whacking big barbel on the end of it. Wont be buying from Glasgow Angling Centre again. More than happy with the service received from Greys however.
