My experience with Health Assured has left me extremely concerned about the way contractual renewals and cancellations are handled.
We originally entered into a two-year agreement in January 2022. In January 2023, I specifically asked Health Assured what I needed to do to prevent it renewing in 2024. Their Relationship Executive told me to confirm in writing that we did not wish to renew. I did exactly that, immediately and almost a year before the end of the contract.
In January 2024, following discussions with another Health Assured Relationship Executive, we agreed to continue the service at REDACTED NUMBER+ VAT. Health Assured has now acknowledged, following my complaint, that this revised arrangement was for one year.
The problem came when I subsequently tried to leave.
Health Assured initially maintained that my business was contractually committed until January 2028, relying upon a 90-day cancellation provision and a further two-year renewal.
I challenged this and spent considerable time searching old emails and records myself. I supplied Health Assured with the historic correspondence I found.
Following its investigation, Health Assured has now acknowledged that its original position was incorrect. It accepts that the arrangement agreed in 2024 was for one year, not two, and has consequently changed its claimed contract end date from January 2028 to January 2027.
That is a very significant correction.
What concerns me most is what might have happened had I simply trusted the original contractual position presented to me and paid without challenging it.
Health Assured has subsequently confirmed that its IT team searched its historic records and could find no additional communications, records or documentation relating to the January 2024 discussions beyond the correspondence I had already supplied myself.
Despite that, Health Assured continues to maintain that the revised one-year arrangement automatically renewed annually and remained subject to the original 90-day cancellation requirement. I continue to dispute the resulting invoice.
I appreciate that there are two sides to a contractual dispute, and I am not suggesting that Health Assured is not entitled to advance its interpretation. I am saying that small-business customers should not assume that a contractual position presented confidently by a large organisation is necessarily correct. Ask for the agreement, retrieve your correspondence and check the history carefully.
To her credit, the
REDACTED PERSON who eventually took responsibility for my complaint has engaged with me professionally and investigated the matter. I appreciate her personally acknowledging and correcting the original two-year renewal position.
But that does not erase my wider concern.
Health Assured provides employee wellbeing and support services to businesses. I would therefore have expected clarity, transparency and a particularly high standard of customer care when a contractual dispute arose.
Instead, I have had to reconstruct a three-year history from my own records to challenge a contractual commitment that Health Assured itself has subsequently accepted was wrong in a material respect.
My dispute remains unresolved and the current invoice remains disputed.
I will update this review if there are further material developments, but I will not remove an accurate account of my experience simply because I have been asked to do so.
If you are a small-business owner dealing with a Health Assured renewal or cancellation, my advice based on my experience is simple: keep every email, obtain the contract, check the notice provisions yourself, and do not be afraid to challenge what you are told.

Felt non-judgmental created a safe place. Her words spoken like an angel.
Felt connected and made me feel calm and listened to who inspired me to continue to be myself.
I have never been able to tell my story to anyone and I felt my hurt/bruises coming out and proved I am a survivor and not a victim.
My life did happen and the sadness/injustice is there but I am able to bring my divine inner light to the world. This has not blown out even though at times the light was vivid and almost dark. I feel blessed to have this space with a wonderful individual who was there for me after all the years of inner guilt that I no longer carry.
It was not me at all it was them.

I reached out to the HA service earlier this year. The initial helpline telephone call (although seemed daunting at first) was made much easier by the lady I spoke to who was reassuring and calm. I worked with Leisa and Tash - both absolutely fantastic - I will never be able to thank either of them enough for the part they have played in supporting me to feel like myself again! They've provided me with techniques/strategies that are now a part of my everyday routine to continue the work we have done so far. For anyone who is on the fence about contacting HA, I highly recommend that you do!

Called feeling overwhelmed with a few issues. Had a counsellor assert that my issues with money were about me wanting “control” ??? despite me explaining why the financial issues had came up, nothing to do with control. We’d been talking for about 5 minutes.
Also, I’ve been getting random messages and calls unprompted from the service who are essentially refusing to investigate.

From the first moment my call was answered the person on the phone understood my concerns, and was so reassuring and very helpful. She put me through to a lovely girl who then set me up with what I required. I would have no hesitation in recommending HA / Wisdom Wellbeing.

Abdul has been fantastic in helping us come on board with Health Assured. From the very beginning, he explained the product clearly and answered all of our questions thoroughly. He was patient and supportive throughout our decision-making process, making the experience smooth and stress-free. We look forward to our journey with Health Assured and hope the onboarding process is just as straightforward and seamless as everything else has been so far.

I had a bad year with several bereavements. My employer had Health Assured as our EAP and it was easy to make contact and I was thoughtfully and politely guided through the process and referred for counselling. The counselling was fantastic and of the highest standard.

Lydia was great to work with, she explained everything in sufficient detail & was able to answer all my questions. I was able to make an informed decision and I'm happy with both the product we have bought and the price we have paid. Thanks Lydia!

I was very impressed with the speed and efficiency of this process. I was contacted very quickly and directed to a councillor who I connected with straight away.
Wendy was able to help me through the terrible grief I was dealing with in a non judgmental way and helped me very much in dealing with issues affecting my life. I would recommend her very highly.

Initial assessment available at first call. Very friendly and knowledgeable counsellor, good assessment. Offer of further sessions at flexible times. Quick allocation of counsellor for structured sessions, although online rather than face-face. Easy system, quick support.
