I wish I could give them negative…

I wish I could give them negative stars. I placed an order for outdoor furniture, When I track the order it says it will be there on the 18th, On the 18 UI checked it says it will be there on the 19th. I called on the 19th and was on hold for 43 minutes just to be tooled they have not even shipped it yet and it won't be there for a couple more weeks.

This is so unprofessional, I will not spend another dime in this company.
Supporting my local hardware stores instead.

Called Home Depot installation services…

Called Home Depot installation services to price the install of a Rheem 50 gallon hot water tank priced at $579.00. We live about 20 minutes from the Home Depot store. The cost quoted for install and removal of the old tank turned out to be $1,800.00! Three times the cost of the unit! I then called our local plumbing companies for quotes and they would install a Bradford White or an A.O. Smith, or the Rheem, 50 gallon tank same warranty and the price was around $1,000.00 complete with removal of the old unit. Why does Home Depot allow these vendors to rip off and steal money from their customers? Same unit, same distance, $800.00 cheaper. Shame on Home Depot for allowing this scam! Not what the original two guys that started Home Depot had in mind. Very unprofessional business ethics!

Delivery Nightmare

I ordered a washing machine from home depot.com. I made arrangements for it to be delivered, installed and the old washer removed. I paid an additional $50.00 for the new hoses and removal. I had to take the day off from work so I could be home for delivery. The drivers arrived and spoke no English, only Spanish. My friend who just happened to be visiting spoke Spanish and acted as my translator/interpreter. They refused to install the washer and told me to call a plumber and that "my pipes were bad". No explanation. They ran out of my house and drove off when I called my plumber and asked him to stop by. He was suspicious of the delivery men and told me he wanted to speak to them. But they literally ran away. They never replaced my outside door they removed in order to bring the washer into my home so my friend had to hang the door. It was five degrees that day and very cold but I had no door. They never took the old washer either. They just ran off. My plumber arrived and installed my new washer. He said my pipes were fine and told me to report the drivers to Home Depot. I have spent at least five hours on the phone in the last two days trying to schedule a pick up of my old washer. Last night I spoke with six people in Home Depot customer service and each person transferred me to another rep. Finally, the sixth person helped me. Today I received an apology from the local store but they said the drivers told their boss my pipes were corroded. That is a lie. My plumber offered to speak to Home Depot but the store manager believed me. I'm not the first person this has happened to.

I'm still waiting for the reschedule and have demanded English speaking drivers but Home Depot can't guarantee that. So, my friend has offered to be at my house for the pick up in case I get two more non-Engiish speaking drivers.

I will never order an appliance through Home Depot again.

Can you blame me?

Window installation nightmare

We contacted Home Depot in May 2019 to get an estimate on replacing 2 windows in our dining room.
They sent Jeff one of their window specialists out to take measurements, and he took a deposit from us.

We asked him if the installer would be able to install the windows without damaging the vinyl siding and window trim we had installed 6 months earlier.

We were assured it would not be a problem, and that they do this all the time.

They sent another so called expert project manager out to check the measurements again before submitting the final order. He said everything looked great and that he would order the windows immediately. He also reassured us they could install the windows without damaging the siding or trim.

Said it would be about 3 weeks before the windows were ready and then they would have an installer come to our home and install them.

We waited and finally received a phone call saying he would be out in a couple of days to do the installation.
Upon arriving and looking at our windows he realized that the new windows were too narrow.

After quite a while on the phone he said they would reorder the windows and would call when they came in. Another 3 or 4 weeks and here they came again to install.

This time he removed one of the windows and checked the new ones and guess what - they were 4 inches too short. Back to the drawing board again. They reordered for the third time, and set up a date to come back again.
Note that we started this process in May, and it is now October.

This time the windows were correct and were installed, but they gouged and scratched the window trim really bad. We told him we were not going to pay until Home Depot fixed the trim. He got really rude, and acted like it was our fault he was incompetent and screwed up. After they left my wife called Jeff the project manager and discussed the problem with him. He agreed to come look at the shoddy job and it was decided that they would send another installer out to repair the damage.

That installer came out and removed the windows and damaged trim and replaced it with new material.

This time they did a really good job, and we were glad it was finally completed after over 5 months.

Jeff the project manager told my wife he was going to send us a gift card for all the trouble we had to go through, and that he was really sorry for the inconveniences it had caused us.

Seems as though Jeff is not very sorry at all. It is now mid-January and we still have not received it. We have called at least half a dozen times and have never gotten a response or call back even though he has promised to call back. It seems like these people take your money and then forget you.

I am through with Home Depot and their incompetent installation services. Seems like they employ a bunch of second rate installers who don’t know what they are doing, and could care less about the quality of work they produce.

My advice is to stay away from Home Depot because they are not trustworthy and call another company for your home installation projects.

Bad customer service and poor service

I went to home depot the one on 400 picket st Alexandria Va to purchase Ring doorbell pro with chime pro this afternoon, and the customer service was horible. After they told me to pay for this product which was on promotion online to pick it at the store, the associate change her mind and said you may have to wait for the product to ship to the store, because it seems an online merchsndise. They have at least five of them at the store waiting for buyers but don't even want to handle for a paid customer in front of them. I rather cancel the order and buy it from amazon than waiting for days

DO NOT USE THEIR PHONY THIRD PARTY APPLIANCE DELIVERY

I am complaining about Home Depot's appliance delivery service and Sedgwick, their phony insurers. This past May I purchased a new range and a dishwasher online. I also purchased installment for the dishwasher and both appliances hauled away. The delivery men arrived a week early at 8:30 in the morning with no warning. They promptly told me they were unable to hook up the dishwasher and sat it in the box in my living area. They told me to call a plumber who I would have had available to install in your 3 day inspection period had I known. Then they installed the wrong range. During all of this, they scratched my hardwood floors. When they unloaded the unboxed range from the truck, they sat it in my gravel driveway and it collected tiny stones underneath. When they slid it into the space, my floors were scratched. They also left the old range sitting near my shed and did not haul either appliance away. They were ignorant, lazy and unprofessional. I drove to Home Depot and complained and they told me they started a "claim". What a joke! I was called months later and had to sit on the phone for an hour and half while their Sedgwick rep asked me painstaking details about the experience and annoyingly repeated my words to herself while typing.
I was contacted about a month ago for photos. That Sedgwick rep said that she needed a photo of my floor showing the entire kitchen. Stand back to get the entire kitchen into the photos, photos outside, through the doorway, many more photos. The scratches do not show because my kitchen is dark and the angle I have to shoot. With overhead lighting or a camera flash, the floors shiny surface reflects and hides the scratches. When I sent close up photos, she said they could be anywhere in my house or someone else's house. A month later, request for more photos. Of course, they are not good enough either. Their rep is condescending and curt. Five days a week she trades ethics for a paycheck.
Now she is saying that I did not prove that they damaged my floor and the burden of proof is on me. What crap! Why didn't you send someone to my home to take photos shortly after I complained and then you would have your proof? The answer is because then you will have to compensate me and you do not compensate anyone.
Their website in huge print:
COMPASSIONATE CARE, FOCUSED ON YOU. HA!

Other site: The main difference between TPAs like Sedgwick and dealing directly with the insurer is that Sedgwick competes for its clients’ business. How do they get the business? By helping the negligent party save money by paying out as little as possible. What does this mean to you? Typically, it means they are going to try to get the case settled on the cheap or not at all. Sure, all insurance companies do this. But Sedgwicks of the world just have more incentive to attempt to rip off the victim.

Home Depot claims no liability and say they hire "third party" delivery teams and they use the bogus Sedgwick insurance company if damage occurs.
SHAME ON YOU HOME DEPOT AND SEDGWICK!

"I dont know, not my dept"

"I dont know, not my department..." *

It's like the anthem that they teach all their employees to say so that no matter what department of the story are in they can turn their back and walk the other way or pretend to be stocking an isle and completely ignore you.

No matter who you ask, it's always let me find someone who can help you and then they disappear into a giant warehouse and a sea of Orange aproned morons with no guest service training. Smh...

The people in this store (4171 Bloomsburg, Pa) have no knowledge of what they sell. I saw an item online, went to the store to purchase the item and was told by 2 employees that they didn't have it and the inventory was wrong. After 5 minutes of searching myself I saw on the top racking a pallet with 60 of the items on it. When I told the employee I found them he was annoyed because now he would have to get it down. Lousy service and unpleasant people.

Home Depot claims they have no control over the delivery of your purchases

As “older” homeowners, we have literally spent thousands of dollars at our local Dickson City, Pa Home Depot store. But, due to our recent experience trying to get a washer and dryer delivered to our home, we will NEVER go to a Home Depot store again. During the 8 days after paying for the appliances, we were promised, then guaranteed delivery by the store managers and sub-contracted delivery company employees, along with a “to be determined compensation after delivery”. The managers were polite, apologized and empathized over the situation which “they had no control over”. On the 8th day, a delivery person told us we hadn’t answered our phone the previous evening....an outright lie. On the 9th day, we cancelled our Home Depot purchase and bought the identical washer/dryer from a family owned local store (Voitek TV and Appliances, Exeter Pa). On our drive home, I received a call from a clueless delivery company employee who wanted to schedule the 3rd delivery attempt (had they even tried?) of our Home Depot appliances. Voitek employees delivered our new washer/dryer today, 1 day after purchasing, and for $200.00 less than Home Depot. Do NOT trust Home Depot to successfully deliver your expensive purchases. They are only good at taking your money!

New LG Washer Install

Home Depot delivered my new LG washer. According to the papers given me at the time of purchase they would hook up the new washer and test it to make sure it worked properly and remove the old washer. When they tried to put my drain hose in they broke another drain pipe. Even though I noticed water on the pipe and pointed it out they would not talk. Then my old washer was not removed (as I had paid for) because I was not told the pedestal had to be removed first. When I called home appliance dept. they do not answer their phone so I tried the customer service line and that person told me they have a lot of problems with delivery. I won' purchase another appliance from Home Depot.

I have found the local HD in the small town that I live in has been very helpful when looking for an item and most times it is in stock, where the other store it is mostly "we can order it and it will be here in a few days" not good when a person needs something now.
