Hostek has managed my Virtual Private Server for over ten years. There have been only a few issues over the years, and they have always solved those problems promptly. They are always there when I need them.

I originally signed up my website with Pickaweb who had an amazing support.
After the company changed to Hostek it became apparent that the Tech Support only operated US time which is no good whatsoever for me.
The Tech Guys are really helpful but I am experiencing

I have been with Hostek for many years to host my church's website. Last week the server was hacked and redirected to pornography. They did not inform me that this had happened. I had to ask for them to take down the site while they worked on it so that users were not being sent to adult material. The support people informed me that the server was hacked and it was fixed after a day. I have now been informed that there will be no compensation and that I cannot get a refund on the next 2 years of service which was paid upfront. I am being gaslit on what caused the issues as now Joshua from support is saying that it was my fault for not keeping my site secure when no one has said anything about the security before, and I am only now being told about that because I want to take my site elsewhere. It is very dissapointing to see a company not taking responsibility for their problems.

Actually, one star is too much for Hostek. This company is the worst I've ever worked with. DO NOT USE THEM!
I was a customer for over 15 years. Hosting and service have gone completely downhill. Websites and Email would go down several times a day. They lied about costly upgrades that did nothing. They lost my emails and provided me with many hours of downtime and feeble service response (if any at all). They don't back their 99.99% uptime promise. Eventually, when I started to complain, instead of addressing the issues I had for years, they simply cut off my access to their support team.
I was a fool to continue to use them. I've since moved to another provider at a much lower cost. I've had no operational problems at all and customer service that actually responds immediately to any issues.
Please do yourself a favor and stay away from Hostek. I would highly suspect any good comments about their service. UPDATE 07/21/2025:
I never abused as they reported.
I only said that the company that they worked for was bad and treated customers poorly and that they should work for a company that was better. That was it. No abuse. Just honesty. Their behavior after years of complaining was unfair. Now that I have moved. I have had no problem with my new provider. Again do not use them.

We've been a Hostek customer for years and have had excellent experiences overall with their technical support team. Today, Stephan in particular was superior at diagnosing and resolving a tricky technical issue that was recurring. He identified and resolved the problem very quickly and followed up with excellent communications regarding the cause and actions taken to resolve the problem.

Terrible customer service. No one responds to emails, I cannot get hold of anyone on chat. I have been incorrectly billed. I try and contact Hostek to sort the issue out, but no response, then I get a late fee for not paying on time because I am waiting to hear back from Hostek - a month later. How do I get through to this provider??? This is the worst customer service ever. Previously they were Pickaweb, customer service was great, now unfortunately they're appalling. AVOID!!! If Hostek are reading this perhaps they could get in contact with me, as I am unable to get in contact with you!!

Kelsey and Nivin were VERY helpful sorting out a problem that affected both my website and email. They quickly understood the problem, its likely cause, and how to fix it in short order. Web/email hosting for me has always been a fit-and-forget matter; once up and configured it just works. So when something goes wrong I have to get up to speed on long-forgotten config details. Kelsey and Nivin - and before that a very helpful phonecall with support - cut through the cobwebs for me!

Nobody wants to deal with an IT issue. I left a message for someone to call me back and went to make a coffee, thinking it would be at least an hour before I had any acknowledgement. I may as well have a drink, and perhaps entertain a few "free" mins off work while I wait for the call back. Then they rang within 5 mins, I'd barely sat back down.
Stef was so helpful, calm and efficient that he had guided me through the necessary steps to resolution in a matter of moments. What a disappointment, no cheeky lull in my work day, only a few mins and then we were done.
Whilst I'm glad the problem is solved, if there's a next time, I'll wait before asking for help so I actually get to drink my coffee!

I have 5 domains with them, and they have been wonderful until the past few months. I can't log on to WCP as it is permanently locked out and no one there can fix it. I have an important email that I can no longer get in to
