HOUSECHOICE LIMITED 

Like some other reviews, sub-contractors who finally did the work were excellent. However the admin, planning and everything else were absolutely terrible. Agreed dates constantly missed with no communication, when trying to call them difficult to get through, phone number on website doesn’t work meaning left with just mobile numbers which is poor. They were very quick to take deposit, but was months of chasing to get actual installation. Would not recommend.

We’ve been looked after from start to end. They are exceptionally busy but still delivered a personal service. The solar panels are now fitted and we are already seeing the benefits. Highly recommend

Would highly recommend Housechoice Ltd. Excellent service from the very beginning. The engineers who attended were all very professional, polite and friendly. I was constantly updated by staff and even had a follow-up visit to check the installation and equipment was all working fine. I cannot say anything negative about this company, which I understand to be very 'new'. Again, would highly recommend Housechoice Ltd.

I think Housechoice are a good company to go with when it comes to solar installation. In terms of thoroughness in the proposal and firming up of the package it was excellent. They were fully open and accountable and involve the customer in the process. The surprising thing is other, so called reputable firms, demanded a deposit and signing of contract on the mere quote of a price without explaining what was being offered in return and they flatly refused to go into what you were getting for the price other than 'you get me and so many panels'.
Housechoice staff were friendly and helpful and always willing to take up an enquiry. The only downside is getting a response can take time but I think this is the situation we are in - more panels have being sold in a month than would normally be sold in a year globally and that's going to be tough on whoever operates in the market. Nevertheless I got my panels up within 6 weeks of singing the contract and that's decent.

Happy from start to finish. The whole team from the office to the engineers were really helpful and professional. My solar installation completed neatly and the engineers left the place spotless. So happy we chose House Choice to start our solar journey.

Impressed with Jeff who quoted and installed our new boiler quickly. We had many quotes and this was the best plus his knowledge and advice exceeded others which was the reason we chose House Choice. He had to unexpectedly dismantle the cupboard to get the old one out and he rebuilt it all back again (on a very hot day in the recent heatwave).
Only small downside was the contact with the office as they had problems with their telephones so making payment was a bit frustrating which is why I gave 4/5 not 5/5. However, I would still very much recommend this company. Very good service.

I recently had my solar system installed by House Choice. Due to the demand in solar at the moment we had our installation start with the panels and then had to wait 3 days for our batteries and electricians. They had kept me updated at all times and was shown how to use the app clearly with the engineers. Would recommend

Update from previous review - my problem has now been resolved and glad that we are now able to use our solar panels.

Absolutely terrible customer service! We had solar panels installed over two months ago and one of the parts was faulty (this still hasn't been replaced as promised). We are also still waiting for our completion documents and certificates to be sent over which is an absolute joke as we are being chased by our energy provider to be able to switch over. We have tried to get intouch several times and haven't heard anything back until chased again a few days later. I will be logging a bigger complaint about this and will definitely not be recommending to any of our family and friends!

The whole process from beginning to end was extremely professionally handled. The installing team were extremely good and made an excellent job of it. Very polite and gave a good explanation of the system and how it worked. All in all a very smooth and easy experience. Would definitely recommend House Choice. We are saving so much money, which is great in the current energy climate.

Terrible Customer Service.

So many times they've offered reason after reason for not being able to attend. After waiting months, today was the day! I was so desperate for them to repair the batteries I even cancelled appointments I had already made, anyway, needless to say they didn't turn up, they have the typical "not interested when they've got your money" attitude. No communication from them to say they weren't bothering, I feel like they've mugged me off.

My neighbour is having batteries installed this month, I'm just glad I told him not to use HOUSECHOICE.

How they think this type of customer service is acceptable is beyond me!

If I can offer any advice to anyone reading this, find an alternative supplier and DO NOT USE HOUSECHOICE.

Aaron has now been in contact after seeing this review. Now to wait and see if the engineer turns up next week.

Have been trying to contact House Choice for last 2 months to arrange service for boiler they installed last year. Last month tried various numbers and finally got through to someone twice who said she would get someone to call us back, never happened. Now number either just rings out or says about digital reception, the emails they never respond to! Frustrated and agree as sold a service they will not provide.

We have purchased solar panels from housechoice, really pleased so far, everything has been explained to us really well and then installers worked so hard to get the panels up and working in a day, thanks guys!

We had 14 solar panels installed this week. The whole process worked amazingly well. The staff at HouseChoice were helpful from our first contact with them until after the panels were installed. The panels were put in place quickly and professionally. The electrician was very skilled and worked all day until he was satisfied all was well. He showed us how to install an App so we could see exactly how our panels were performing. I would recommend this company to others

Housechoice have installed 10 solar panels and a 2.5kwh battery for us.

Arranging a quote was very easy and Stephen came to see us within a few days.

We had a no-obligation survey, done by Malcolm who is very friendly, thorough and knowledgeable. Malcolm’s assessment was that ours was a straight-forward installation.

We signed the contract on 01/04 and installation was completed in full on 28/05/22.

Installation is taking longer at the moment because demand has increased so much and supply of - in our case- batteries can’t keep up.

I was kept informed all the way through by Aeron who has been pro-active in contacting me, and has responded to all my calls and texts. Thank you Aeron.

The scaffold went up quickly. The guys who put it up were friendly , polite and efficient.

I was apprehensive at the outset, particularly as things were delayed, but now on the other side of the installation I can appreciate how jobs run over and then impact the next scheduled job: our panels and electrics happened on different days in the end. The panels went up on Monday 23/05 in three hours. The electrics were installed on 28/05 and took 8 hours. If anyone was pencilled in for the afternoon of 28th really sorry, it was our job that put you back.

Everyone involved in our installation were friendly and polite. We are so pleased: everything is neat and tidy and looks great.

The app that accompanies the system is comprehensive: lots of real-time data.

Edit 07/07/22 - I had some queries about my system which have not been answered. Also we have yet to receive the Microgeneration Certificate which means I am unable to sign up to an export tariff. I was told the MGC would be with us in 28 days, but we are past that. I emailed on the 30th June to chase the MGC but have not had a reply. On trying to contact the HouseChoice phone line today there is a recorded message advising they are operating a "digital reception" and to email with your query. I appreciate they are busy, but it would be helpful to have an idea of how long it will take to get this document.

Site survey undertaken before install with all questions answered. On the day, the installer manager to hide most of the cable, due to the electric box being the other side of the house from the driveway, resulting in a very smart finish. Kept up to date at all points, from initial enquiry to ordering and install. Would highly recommend.

Professional and direct throughout, looking for wood to my solar site survey next week with Malcolm very happy customer

My initial call was with a lady called Claudia who booked us in for a home visit free of charge. Other companies wanted a deposit for the initial survey. I was sold the install by a manager called Scott and I have my install booked for 3 weeks time I will update further once completed
