From the moment of first contact with Hydrus I was immediately impressed they asked me lots of questions about my requirements and required lots of pictures of the system they would be working on which I was more than happy to provide. I have been extremely unwell this year and had a few radiators that were needing to be installed that I couldn’t get around too.
Hydrus were more than happy to include this with their work scope for a small additional charge.
We had a few hiccups post initial install but after a quick call Tom from Hydrus was very apologetic and arranged immediate rectification.
John was brilliant when he arrived he fitted all radiators which were a little difficult and not straight forward, he also rectified the issue we experienced post install, nothing was too much trouble. Great team, great service and would definitely recommend them.

Hydrus Plumbing & Heating have a Sales Manager (Andy P) with integrity and a man of his word. What he said over the phone became a reality. I was told (having submitted photographs) that the boiler I wanted a Viessmann Vitodens 050 could be fitted the following Wednesday, this was Friday. On Wednesday morning their Engineer Nathan S arrived on time and completed his work before 4pm, another man of his word. I am totally satisfied with the company, their personnel and recommend them. I wish them every success in their future endeavours.

Everything was great from start to finish. John Kane who made first contact was great, explained everything and talked me through all the options in terms of which boilers we could have etc. Couldn’t have been more helpful! We went for an Alpha E-TEC 33 with a 10yr guarantee, as we have 17 radiators in the house. Ryan and Kieran (Brothers) so polite and thoughtful, fitted the boiler within less than a week of getting a quote. They did a grand job, took no more than 5 hours, left the garage/& Radiator areas spotless and answered all our questions! Great service would highly recommend

After a failed appointment on Friday…
After a failed appointment on Friday due to an emergency it was arranged for a Sunday installation at no extra cost. Carl Smith rang me an hour before arrival to say he was on his way. He arrived on time and just got on with removing the old boiler and installing the new one. All this was done in 3 hours and the workmanship is excellent. He cleared up and took away all the empty packaging and left the room as he found it. He then went through all the paperwork and the operating of the controls and before leaving made sure we where happy with everything

Their chap on the phone Tom was extremely helpful and in my opinion went the extra mile to help me with my problems, Carl the engineer that came out was a true professional he answered all of my questions removed my old boiler and fitted the new one in a very short time whilst making sure everything was OK as he progressed with the job, he then tested everything and cleaned up after himself, as an engineer myself I was very impressed with his work ethic and manner to me as a customer. I would have no problem recommending this firm to anyone especially my family and friends...

I am not sure how this company has managed to get so many good reviews! Do they write them themselves? I would not be giving them one star if that option was possible.
I asked for a quotation from Hydrus Heating in early August. They came up with a good price which I accepted after getting them to put everything in writing. They pressurised me to have a quick installation before I went on holiday on 19th September. On 31 August, I agreed for the installation to be carried out on 16/17 September. When I rang on the 15th to confirm what time the team would be arriving I was informed that they were not coming as they could not get the Worcester Bosch hot water Cylinder that they were contracted to supply. They offered a cheaper alternative with no offer of a reduction in price; I refused. I asked for a new date after I returned from holiday after the 27th October; this would give them adequate time to obtain all the contracted parts. They agreed to this. Whilst on holiday I rang Joe to find out what date they were coming he said that he did not know the date, but it definitely was in the diary. Just before I returned from holiday I contacted Hydrus again and they said that I was booked in on the 27th October which was not within the agreed time period. I contacted Joe again and he said that he could change the date to 28th October; he later confirmed that the team would arrive between 0800hrs and 1000hrs. At 1100hrs on the 28th October I rang Joe who told me that the team would not be arriving.
I find it incredible that nobody at Hydrus knew that the team would not be travelling to my house before this time. Joe has offered a full refund of my deposit, but will not answer my requests for compensation as Hydrus is clearly in Breach of Contract in accordance with their terms and conditions. I am assuming that the Joe who I have mentioned above is
a Director of Hydrus Plumbing.
Joe would not reply to my WhatsApp chats or answer his phone. When I eventually managed to talk to somebody at Hydrus, they were working from home, but promised that they would speak to Joe. Joe then sent a WhatsApp blaming engineer sickness and has promised a 100% refund. However, he will not provided an alternative date for the installation. The refund has now arrived in my bank.
What conclusions do I draw from my experience. This company is not well managed, they do not keep their word, when things get difficult they do not want to speak to you, they do not believe that they are bound by a contract for which they took a £1000 deposit. My contract was accurately documented with no room for them to make extras on the contract. I suspect that this may have been a factor.
The bottom line is this company cannot be trusted to do an installation for the quoted price on the quoted date. Take my advice and stay well clear of Hydrus Heating & Plumbing or be prepared to waste a lot of time and perhaps some money as others have experienced. See other one star reports.

I am sounding this warning because if you don’t avoid this company as a plague you will be stung. Day light robbers and bullies.
In July 2022, I commissioned them to supply and fit a new boiler at cost of £5300. I was asked by the agent Tony to make a deposit of £800 which I did.
The project had to be cancelled due to family emergency/crisis so 1month ahead of scheduled installation date l advised Tony to cancel my order and make refund. I knew there was a 10% admin to be charged to the deposit according to their terms. When I chased for the refund it was not forthcoming. I wrote emails and calls all to no avail. Eventually when I got the team to respond to me, I was utterly surprised to learn that out of the £800, I was going to be refunded £350. I challenged and protested on the grounds that the 10% admin fee should be applied to the deposit but the agent I was dealing with Joe, said no the company reserves the right to apply the 10% admin fee any how they like; be it the balance or deposit so out of goodwill gesture he would make it £450 refund to me instead of £720
I wrote to Andy and Tony to intervene but no joy. I explained to them I needed the money to support a terminally family member but my plea fell on death ears. I told Joe I will give them bad review on Trust Pilot and he threatened me if I did. They have blocked me on IG.
