Unable to Contact Instant Pot

08Apr25 I bought a Instant Pot Duo and received it 12Apr25, the product was faulty [would not pressurise] and there is no way to contact Instant Pot other than via website form which they don't reply to.

This appliance is a real help to very…

This appliance is a real help to very busy people. It saves a lot of time - a meat stew can be cooked in under 40 minutes for example. The rice and porridge turn out really well. Very versatile. We really enjoy using it and the recipe book for it.

Unresponsive and unhelpful customer support

I reached out to Instant Pot support for help with my air fryer malfunctioning. Two days later, they replied asking for some receipts and photos. I sent them everything, heard nothing, followed up 3 days later, still nothing. No place to leave feedback on their site either.

Bad product. Worse customer service.

We purchased an InstantPot from Costco a couple of years ago. It had been stored in the box for a while, as we weren’t sure how to make use of it.

Recently we learned to make a few recipes and got excited about it. We bought a bunch of InstantPot accessories too! We went to prepare our food a couple months ago, though, and the machine wouldn’t work. It beeps and throws a code. It ruined our meal (a pot roast we had no time to cook the long way) and it wasted our food. A real bad night.

It took me a month to actually get in touch with customer service. I wrote to them (email) twice. I used the contact form on their website. From this I got a ticket number, but still no response. I had to use the contact form again and get a second ticket number for anyone to get back to me. A month!

My big question was… hey, what does this code mean and can we fix this? I hate to add a barely used appliance to a landfill. It’s been used less than 10 times. I was really getting into a couple of recipes and was looking forward to using the InstantPot again. Unfortunately, all I received back was a robotic response that addressed none of my questions or concerns. “Kay,” the customer service rep/bot, asked if I had a warranty and I told her I did not have one. I said this from the beginning. It was years ago that we made the purchase.

It is clear that I got a lemon. And from the amount of people complaining of the same issue with the same product, I’m guessing InstantPot knows this too. I take care of my things. The very least they could have done was tell me what was wrong and what the code means. I had to send them photos of the code, the pot, the serial number, etc.

Times are hard, you know, and I don’t have the money to buy another (nor would I want to considering the problems we’ve had with this company and the product) but maybe I could’ve fixed it. They do sell parts.

When I reiterated this to “Kay” and asked for some answers, all I got was the same generic response… almost verbatim! A bad copy/paste job. How rude and crazy-making!

Now I have a fairly new appliance that I have to throw out and a bunch of InstantPot accessories. What a horrible investment. And what a disappointing way to be treated!

It is very disheartening to invest in a company (even the time and energy to communicate with them) only to be handled with such disregard. The only thing that I can do is share this experience with others, so that they don’t go through what I did.

My Instant Pot takes forever to warm up…

My Instant Pot takes forever to warm up enough before cooking time starts! when I spoke to customer service they said that if I wanted a 4 hour cook time, then to play on the same amount of time to warm up! So that is a 4 hour warm up to a 4 hour cook time. Ridiculous.! My other cookers never took anywhere near that much time to start the cooking time. NEVER Buy Instant Pot brand.

INSTANT POT SCAM

Ordered air fryer on 9th December. No receipt of payment or confirmation of order until requested. Followed up by email as no telephone availability, told it had been sent by DPD and still not received. I suspect I have been scammed and going to get refund from credit card company. Do not order or use this company at all.

Worst customer service ever.

We purchased our instant pod coffee maker in May. On September 30 it died. I called for a warranty replacement on October 9 I was told it was being processed and I would receive it in 10 to 14 days. October 30, still no coffee maker. I was then told it was being sent out "tomorrow". October 31 I asked for a tracking number. Was told again it was being sent out "tomorrow". November 12 i asked again for a tracking number and was told it would be sent out "in a week or 2". At this point I believe they are scamming m I have all email receipts.

Terrible customer service

I was gifted a new instant pot. Over £200. A small pin has come loose and fallen in the lid. This company cannot repair or let me buy a new pin. I cannot provide a receipt as this was a gift so they cannot help under warranty which I sort of understand but really they can’t let me buy a small pin. I am left with a useless item. The instant pot was great but the company is awful.

instant pot customer service is the WORST by far. by far…

Instant pot customer service is by far the worst I've ever dealt with, it is virtually impossible to order a replacement part, and when you call the reps are RUDE and not helpful at all. I asked if they could email me when the part is back in stock, they are NOT able to provide that feature, I told them I would not purchase any more INSTANT POT products because it's virtually impossible to get replacement parts, every time I try they are out of stock. The first rep actually hung up on me!!! And it wasn't as if I said anything personally insulting. It was strictly a comment about the product's replacement parts! I will NEVER buy from this company again.

Horrible experience

I don’t think I can even give 1 star. My instant pot is 2 years old and I am getting error C 6 L and they refused to repair it or give me discount.. they told me to buy new one. Very very horrible customer service. I will not recommend anyone to buy this product.

Poor initial experience rescued by brilliant customer service

I bought an Instant Pot second hand which came without a moisture collector in the back. I ordered a replacement for it online but received a wrong model that didn't fit. I got in touch with the customer service which promptly sent out a replacement. This was annoyingly still not the right one but as I could see from the dispatch address, the fault with the a third party fulfillment. After sending another email, I received a full refund and a promise that the agent would be on the lookout for the right model. Within a few days, I received it and it actually matched.

Things can go wrong, but to me it matters that there are responsive people on the other end who actually care about good outcomes so five stars from me.

Jessi and the company's customer…

Jessi and the company's customer service reps are all just wonderful to deal with. i use their AIR FRYER and the original instant pot which is over 8 years old (still works like a tank). They stand behind their products and just overalll great company!

Received C3 error on instant pot pro…

Received C3 error on instant pot pro plus after 16 months of casual use. Instant pot CS said sorry, out of warranty. For an expensive product with such little use, I was pissed with the answer. The pot was useless and we trashed it. Will be buying a different brand now
