I first engaged JG Pest Control in 2025 and was initially impressed by their efficiency, professionalism, and communication. They inspected the property, recommended a treatment plan for a mice infestation, and the issue appeared to be resolved.
Unfortunately, I had to contact them again in 2026 when the problem returned. This immediately raised an important question: why had the infestation reoccurred when I had previously been advised that the affected area had been blocked and that mice would not return? I appreciate that no pest control treatment can be guaranteed indefinitely, as every property and environment is different. However, my concerns extend beyond the recurrence of the problem itself.
The final report from the 2026 visit (which I had to actively chase for) stated that the only effective long-term solution would involve significant structural work, including removing the kitchen, mouse-proofing the area, and reinstalling the kitchen. Naturally, I wanted to discuss these findings in more detail.
I attempted to contact the account manager, on numerous occasions. Despite repeated calls, He was consistently unavailable. I was repeatedly assured that my concerns would be escalated to a manager for investigation, yet no manager ever contacted me. On several occasions, I was told that someone would call me back, and on one occasion I was specifically promised a return call from him within 45 minutes. That call never came.
As the weeks went on, I continued to seek updates and was repeatedly told that someone would get back to me. No one ever did. On two separate occasions I even stated that if the company was unwilling to deal with my enquiry, they should simply tell me so and I would stop pursuing the matter. Each time I was reassured that somebody would contact me, yet once again no follow-up occurred.
What makes this particularly disappointing is that my initial experience with JG Pest Control was positive, and I genuinely wanted to work with them to find a resolution. However, their complete failure to respond to repeated requests for discussion and clarification has left me with the impression that their interest ends once the inspection and treatment fees have been paid.
The lack of communication, failure to honour repeated promises of call-backs, and apparent disregard for customer concerns have turned what began as a positive experience into a highly disappointing one. Ignoring customers who are simply seeking clarification on recommendations is both unprofessional and discourteous.
I cannot fault the technicians who attended the property, but the customer service and aftercare I received were wholly inadequate and fell well below the standard I would reasonably expect from a professional company.

You arrived the same day I phoned, were reassuring about destroying a wasps nest and gave me clear info about what to expect over the next 5 days and what to do if I could still hear the nest in my bedroom. Great service!

Brilliant service, very good customer service explained everything clearly and if the problem needed further treatment to get back in touch, knew what time they would arrive through a text telling me they were on there way, would definitely recommend 👍
