I have had mixed success with Joker cards. I have not
had problems on Amazon, but with Aliexpress it only
sometimes works. Registration has generally not been
an issue, but viewing the balance sometimes is probably do to busy servers. I am currently miffed, because they froze my mastercard jokercard with a $240 balance on it. I am not sure, but they probably use artificial intelligence to look for patterns of fraud.
The AI sometimes sees fraud that does not exist. ` I think this is related to the fact that I repeated tried to pay for an order on Aliexpress on the same day, because the payment was repeatly rejected. I have not contacted Jokercard with this issue yet, but based on reviews on this website I don't
have much hope.

Tried to activate the card online, failed, tried to do so on my phone worked after 3 attempts. Tried to buy something online, card declined, tried to check balance website blocked me, tried to call in card says its not activated, go to gas station, buy pack of gum with it so its clearly activated. This is bordering on a scam, I cannot contact support since its all automated. My suggestion is to just directly contact the BBB with your complaints they are far more likely to handle it.

Was gifted a 50 dollar card . Tried to use was declined . Checked to see balance and if the card was registered . Yes it was to an Ontario location Iam in Saskatchewan. Site is useless and the card was used in Ontario. Total scam . Site does nothing for you . Don’t use this card ever again.
Update so I get contacted by this bhn supposedly to handle my experience and they request government picture id plus card information , picture me holding id . Scam scam . Huge red flags . Never use these ever .

I received $500 gift card couple of years ago which was never used so I checked the balance on the card today and find out it had $.02 on it
Apparently it was used on June 2024 at Hyatt hotel where I’ve never visited
Since the transaction was more than 60 days ago there’s nothing the card company can do
This is such a total scam

Please don't buy these, these cards should be outlawed they do not work, there is zero customer service/assistance. They will not work online, they cannot be transferred to your bank account, they cannot be converted to cash. The joke is on you if you buy/receive one of these.

Sorry but the fact that the card did not work in the first place is the first failure. Secondly, when I tried calling earlier today, I was unable to navigate the automated phone menu to speak to representative. Impossible to receive prompt phone support.
In the end I was able to transfer the funds to my Amazon account. Next best thing to cash I guess.

Total scam!! Bought a joker Mastercard yeasterday at dollarama and successfully did 2 purchases until the card stopped working for no reason tried to call costumer service it kept hanging up on me and saying the same thing over and over again! I still have money on the card and there’s nothing can do because it doesn’t work anymore! Trash company, trash card, and trash costumer service.

The joker card website has literally only ever worked once for me. I registered my card, and still every single shop (online and in person) did not support this card (even though I searched it up, and all of the locations I went to supposedly DID support this card?). I tried to check my balance today because thats what the internet recommended me to do if my card didn’t work, but I can't even check because, of course, the website isn’t working.
I tried calling customer service but it did not help at all. They said “the website having an issue that has already been fixed” which, clearly it has not been fixed because I can never check my balance; which, honestly I’m scared to see because of all these horror stories of people randomly losing all their funds in their cards. An absolute scam of your money and time; DO NOT BUY.

A damaged card for Xmas. You need to watch your staff they're ripping you off. Never ever will I use Joker or any other prepaid card again. There is my vent I'm done. I will constantly call until we are reimbursed.

Update: I received an email from Jefferson, a representative of Jokercard.CA. He asked for information about the 2 cards I was trying to check the balance of. I provided him with the information for both cards. Awaiting next steps.
And...When I went back to their website, I was successfully able to check the balance on one of the cards. I had no success with the other card.
I'll update my review if my remaining issues with the card are resolved.
Website didn't work for registering card. Couldn't check the balance...for multiple cards. No customer service representatives when I called two customer service numbers. Their automated menus were not helpful. Scam operation.
Please note: I did get a "response" from Joker. They have a 100% response rate on Trust Pilot. Check out all their "form" responses to all the negative reviews on Trust Pilot. They have done NOTHING to resolve their lack of an online or phone response. Scammy outfit.

Clue is in the name i suppose, card was compromised before i even had a chance to attempt a purchase with anything. which is apparently, a disgustingly common occurrence. As you would expect there is no real support and the contact phone line is "dead" as in, automated message and that's it, for those grabbing one of these as a gift, rethink your choices, it isn't worth the trouble.

I was initially promised a replacement virtual card within 24–48 hours—something that never happened. When I called back, a customer service representative claimed his phone records showed I was promised the replacement at 5:30 p.m. on December 26. However, when I called again on December 28 at 11:30 p.m., he argued that 48 hours had not yet passed.
I was then transferred to a supervisor who stated that my original card was never activated—despite me having a Loblaws receipt clearly showing the card was activated for $200.
I’ve dealt with fraudulent Visa cards before, and in every case the issue was resolved through customer service. This experience was entirely different. Joker has taken no responsibility, leaving me no choice but to open a dispute with my credit card company.
Joker gift cards are an embarrassment to Visa—and even more so in nearly 2026. Let’s start with the basics: December 26 to December 28 is two days. Yes, 28 minus 26 equals 2. Apparently, math is hard.

Opened up my $200 gift card that I received from my employer and the instructions were glued to the front blocking the card number. The card is made of paper and I used goo b gone and it still wouldn’t come off. I called joker and waited 1.5 hours on hold to be told the card was never activated at the register.
The name of this company checks out. They are actual jokers and scammers. I wonder how many cards have the instructions glued to the front and people give up with this joke of a company jumping through all these hoops and they just pocket the money. Total scam.

I bought a 500 pp MC at shoppers and tried to register it and use it. Registered fine but didn't work when I tried to use it. Called customer support and they created a case for me. Customer service asked me for the activation approval, my id and I provided. After a week of hearing nothing I called again. Told to be patient. Then I was contacted again and asked for a copy of my utility bill. It's been two weeks and no resolution. I can't buy groceries for this week now and I'm really upset with this company. Terrible. Don't use them.

Balance was stolen through PayPal transactions. Someone has stolen the card info and registered it using fraudulent email address. can't report the problem online without security code being sent to the scammer's email. can't dispute transactions using Visa form online either. Customer service is bad can’t talk to a real person to get help.
