JTX is an independent fitness brand based in West Sussex. We design, build and sell home gym equipment — treadmills, bikes, rowers, cross trainers — directly to our customers. No middlemen, no hype, no subscriptions required. Just dependable machines, honest advice, and a team that’s here when you need them.

JTX Fitness Guarantee

We are here to help you achieve your goals

We are here to help you achieve your goals
JTX started in 2009 with a straightforward idea: fitness equipment should hold up in real use, not just look good on day one. Too much of the industry felt driven by hype — short-term trends and promises that didn’t translate once routines changed or life got busy. We wanted to build something different. Equipment people could come back to through different phases of training, different stages of life, and trust that it would still do its job. That thinking still shapes how we design, build and support every machine today. Training that fits around your life: We design for the way people actually train — the early mornings, the busy weeks, the sessions that just keep you ticking over. Not the highlight reel. Equipment that’s built properly: We prioritise build quality, real-world testing and considered engineering. No gimmicks, no feature clutter — just machines that do what they should, consistently, for years. Support that doesn’t disappear after you buy: Our UK team is here before purchase, during setup, and long after delivery. Buying guides, care advice, repairs — we’re not hard to reach and we don’t hide behind chatbots. Longer warranties, fewer worries: All equipment comes with generous in-home repair warranties as standard. If something needs fixing, we come to you. We back what we build.

Not impressed - Poor quality goods, high return charges and long refund process.

Not impressed. I would not buy from this company again!!!!! I returned a treadmill as the quality was terrible, it was the worst treadmill I have ever seen delivery limited and had to pay £30 for a Saturday delivery. When I called the company to use their no quibble return i was told that i had changed my mind therefore they would charge me a fee of over 20 percent for the return. I told them they had falsely marketed their goods as quality of the machine was bad they stated that £600 is not alot of money, you get what you pay for and their marketing only refers to there high quality goods.I since went to decathlon paid the same for a brilliant machine and free saturday delivery. I paid out over £130 for the experience. I still await my refund as I expect to receive the difference still nothing back! Be warned their goods and service is terrible!!!!! No refund yet! Never again!

Hi Lucia,

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We always take customer feedback on board and are sorry to hear the treadmill was not suitable for you.

As the machine was not faulty and the product description and specifications were accurate, including the machine weight, a collection fee was applied in line with our Terms & Conditions. We are always happy to provide details of these charges prior to purchase.

Standard delivery is free of charge, with Saturday delivery available as an optional paid service.

We have checked your account and can confirm your refund was processed in full last week. An automated confirmation email was sent at the time, and this has since been resent to you. Depending on your bank, it can take several working days for the funds to appear in your account.

We are pleased to hear you have found a machine better suited to your needs and wish you all the best. If there is anything further we can assist with, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,
Alannah

Few things about the machine but its the customer service...

3 stars because I can only compare with:
a) my last Profitness treadmill purchased from Argos in 2011 that finally gave in Jan 2026
b) a Reebok folding machine that was out of sync with time and distance; which took so long to put together; that had a faulty pulse & start & stop buttons on the arm from brand new so had to return. Also heavy.
c) an Adidas folding treadmill to replace both of the above but had to replace as it also had faults and was even heavier. Something about treadmills of today where you have to lift up the arms and belt. I never had to do that with my Profitness model of 2011 but guess times have changed,
My review of JTX slimline folding treadmill:
1) This machine more or less came ready to build, you just a couple of screws and your done.
2) Don't like how the bottle holder is on the left side since most of us are right handed, it makes sense to have it on the right. I haven't used it yet. Put holes on both sides to give options.
3) The instructions could be a bit better. I was confused on the folding part. There are these 2 swinging 'feet' plates that you swing out and when standing up you have to be careful these don't unswing as the machine may fall down. Can you make you paranoid checking it every now and again.
4) To fold the machine you have to unscrew (they say loosen but you loosen until it is literally unscrewed) the arm screws to lower the arms; "loosen" the screws on the screen and "loosen" the screws on the legs at the bottom to lower the whole thing. Then you have to swing out the feet (if you forget it will be tricky holding the whole machine upright while trying to get them out from under the machine), then lift up the whole machine, belt/ arms/ screen/ motor to a vertical position. This is quite heavy, I found it heavy than my Profitness where I only had to lift the belt up.
5) then you pull out this bar on that is behind or on the underside of the belt - seemingly, I think - to balance the machine when vertical. I raised this with customer services if it mattered how high or if at all and what exactly is if for as it isn't stated in the instructions just lift it up.
6) so that's why I think the customer services was crap. I sent 3 messages to ask about the bar and the folding as I needed clarity. They responded with stupid schoolchildren responses, not thorough or explanatory, so either they didn't know what to say or they just don't have the hospitality to help or are too X . Anyway, it was disappointing they didnt even respond to my last message and when customer services is this crap, I don't ever ever go back.
7) on the whole, the machine syncs okay much like my Profitness machine but the arms come out far to long, I am 5ft 8 and I've hit my hands on the bars several times. They just get in the way but the Reebok and Adidas machine was the same.
Hope that helps!

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed and honest review.

We’re pleased to hear that the setup process was straightforward and that the treadmill is performing well overall. That said, your feedback on the bottle holder position, folding mechanism and instructions is extremely valuable, and we’ll be sure to pass this on to our product team as we’re always looking for ways to improve.

We’re concerned to read about your experience with our customer service. We take great pride in our service, and we’d really like the opportunity to investigate this further. Unfortunately, we’ve been unable to locate your previous communication as no details have been provided, but we’re keen to review the full email thread and have our Supervisor contact you.

We’ve reached out via Trustpilot to request a few more details, and we’d be very grateful if you could respond with your contact information so we can look into this properly and make things right.

Best Wishes,
Alannah

My JTX Movelight treadmill is a good…

My JTX Movelight treadmill is a good piece of kit - I have used daily for 4 months
My reason for 4 stars is as follows:
1. User manual is poor - unclear set up instructions and small print.
2. Maintenance procedure is awkward and difficult to gauge the location & amount of lubricant applied.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I purchased a treadmill in November 2025 and by March 2026 it had stopped working. It would not fire up and just made a clicking noise. I contacted customer services and their initial response was patronising, suggesting I checked it was turned on!

After over a week they finally agreed to send an engineer to look at the treadmill. I had to wait almost 3 weeks for this to happen and the engineer was completely out of touch with the situation, had no brief from JTX and I had to explain the problem to him.

The engineer was unable to fix the problem and told me this was a frequent occurrence and several other treadmills had seen similar problems.

I contacted JTX to request a full refund as the product was not fit for purpose. They refused initially and told me they could replace the item if I paid for the carriage, or they would refund me if I paid for the carriage. I declined and informed them I would take legal action to reclaim the full refund and they then agreed to a full refund.

To date that refund has not been received.

You have replied with a lie - no refund has been received and I have emails to prove this. You sent half of the refund on 24th April and said you system was not working and so this would need to be done k. Two parts and may take another 14 days, despite promising 5-7 working days. Your comments about the replacement and refund are also a lie as you tired to get me to pay the carriage on the return.

Hello Edward,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate feedback from our customers and are always looking for ways to improve our service.

When we first get contact from a customer and they describe a fault with their machine, our technical team requests that we check a few things before proceeding so that we can rule them out.

I'm sorry you feel as though the engineer was not prepared. I can assure you that all our engineers have access to the history of the issue and should come with knowledge of this. We will pick this up internally with the engineer to understand further.

Unfortunately the machine could not be repaired after the first visit and I can see from reviewing our complete contact that one option offered was a replacement machine under your warranty, with no additional charges. As requested, your machine was collected on 20th April and your full refund was processed on 27th April. Our website states that refunds can take up to 14 days to be processed, this depends on who you bank with. As the funds have left us, there is sadly nothing further we can do to speed this up.

Please don't hesitate to contact us if you need assistance with anything else.

2nd cross trainer from JTX

2nd cross trainer from JTX. First one lasted four years which I’m happy with as I do use them a lot. Only needed to get one replacement part during the 2 year warranty which was dealt with smoothly. This new one was delivered on time and the assembly process was pretty much unchanged from previous model. Do give yourself a good couple of hours to get things unpacked carefully and logically assembled.

Brilliant treadmill for our needs

This is the second foldable treadmill we've purchased from JTX, the first being a refurbished model. When we needed to replace it the decision to replace like for line was non-negotiable. This foldable treadmill fits our needs perfectly, from limited space and a range of abilities from three members of the family. We chose JTX because of their customer service and excellent reviews. Ordering was easy and communication great. Delivery was simple with a two person team bringing the treadmill to our room of choice. Within minutes it was unpacked and ready to use. In my opinion, this treadmill offers exceptional value for money. It is a brand I trust and already own a JTX rowing machine. If I had the room, I'd buy even more kit!

I initially contacted the company by…

I initially contacted the company by email but didn’t receive a response. I then tried reaching out via their website and eventually got a reply, although it took some time. They asked for my full name, address and mobile number just to provide a quote for a damaged display.
From my understanding GDPR guidelines are quite clear that there is no need to request extensive personal data simply to provide a price estimate especially for an item that was not in stock.
Once I mentioned that I had not purchased the training machine directly from them communication stopped. I do not expect to hear back further.
It is disappointing as I was hoping to use the exercise machine to support my physiotherapy after a long hospital stay. The machine was gifted to me so I do not have an invoice to prove the original purchase.

Hi Anna,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.

I have tried to look into this but I am unable to find any correspondence from you on our end, so we have requested some more information via Trustpilot. If you are comfortable giving that information, we can have a look into the background of this for you.

I apologise that our service was not up to standard and we look to support all our customers, even if they have not purchased directly from us.

The reason we request further information is so we can find the model purchased, date purchased and the area that you live in. This will effect the computer display and the engineer that services your area if needed.

If you would like to call us directly and request to speak to me, I would love to get this sorted for you.

Many thanks,
Laura

JTX Strider - X8 and assembly service

In February I purchased the JTX Strider - X8 and took advantage of the assembly service. The assembly service was great and I'm really glad I accepted the recommendation to get it properly installed and assembled. Since then I have been absolutely delighted with the equipment and based on my experience, I would recommend both JTX and the Strider X8.

Well made and enjoyable to use.

The rowing machine is well made and good to use. It has a number of useful adjustments. The display offers plenty of exercise options and provides a fair amount of information. It arrived fairly well assembled, but it still took a while to put together, it’s quite long! It needs two people for assembly, due to the bulk and weight of some parts. The instruction book is good, a few diagrams could do with being a bit bigger. Joining the two halves was a bit fiddly too. Overall very happy, it looks built to last and is quiet and smooth when used.

Brilliant fold-flat treadmill

I was given a choice of a delivery date when ordering my treadmill and it arrived on the day, with no issues. The delivery drivers were lovely and brought it in to the correct room of the house for me. I literally just had to remove all the packaging and plug it in.
The treadmill is exactly what I was looking for - a fold-completely-flat type that i can stack against the wall when I am not using it. I was very pleasantly surprised by how easily it folds and how sturdy it is. Once folded, it is fairly heavy to lift up to stack against the wall, but it is perfectly doable and I just see this as a little extra weight training! There is a safety strap supplied to ensure this cannot fall over accidentally.
As others have said, there does seem to be a tiny bit of give in the belt at very slow walking speeds, but once you are at a slightly faster walk or above, this is not apparent at all. I feel very secure walking and running on it. The incline is great and I am delighted with it.
