KatKin goes hardcore for cat health. For far too long the fat cats of the industry have been pushing false information and fluffy claims about what cats need to eat.
Born To Eat MeatKatKin is a nutrition, education, and community focused cat-care brand that works with world leading veterinarians and nutritionists to develop fresh food that gives cats the nutrients they actually need. KatKin is cutting the fluff from the cat food industry and exposing the truth behind mass-produced cat food.
MissionKatKin’s mission is to show cat ownership for what it actually is, and defy the stereotypes of cat’s being “easy to care for.” Cats need “hardcore love” no matter if they’re a finicky feline or have a tricky tummy. The time for change is now, and KatKin won’t stop until their cat-first, no-bs attitude becomes the new standard everywhere.

**Update** Thank you Katkin for your reply. I already gave a member of your team full details yesterday. I disagree. The subscription - and how to cancel it - was not obvious, whereas the constant over-done marketing was. Having now seen other reviews, I see I am not alone. Cat owners like us need to be able to easily click and order as required, not sign up to and constantly change your default volumes (at my own time and expense). Your volumes are too much for our cat. If you make real changes, we're likely to return (as long as my cat still wants the food). Many thanks.
**Original review**
I signed up for a sample pack for our fussy cat to try and without being aware, I was signed up to a subscription I wasn't wanting and over zealous continuous marketing - also after the company had grabbed a lot of personal details. The food has (so far) gone down well with our kittie, but being signed up without being explicitly asked and having to dig about for a way to cancel and stop the aggressive marketing has not gone down well with me.

Easy ordering and excellent food. My rather chunky wee man has lost weight, he’s glossy and much more energetic than before. Thanks Katkin!

The food delivery always arrives on time, contents are still frozen making them completely fresh and ready to go in to the freezer, my 13yr old cat loves the food and very very rarely leaves any intact she often goes looking for more. She’s much more content, has a shiny coat and sparkling eyes. So all in all I have 1 very happy and content cat.

My two cats love this food. Previously they would have really smelly trays, always hungry, never eat a full dish of food. Now they have better poos and always eat all their food.

The food is very much enjoyed by my cat and the support from the company is most welcome.

Really great company, constant support whenever it’s needed even for the smallest queries, the food itself fills my cat up he never begs for more and the difference to his coat and energy is clear as day compared to his previous supermarket brand, the food getting delivered straight to our door makes it easy to keep on top of.

Excellent company, great customer service, the food doesn't smell horrible like other cat food. But most importantly my cats love it. We have been feeding it for several months and we have happy cats and clean plates. I trialled 3 of the top fresh cat foods and our cats stopped eating the other 2 after a while, but they love Katkin. Sometimes I need to bring my delivery forward by a few days and it is very easy to do. Katkin is one of my favourite companies I have on Subscription.

Superb customer service and really great quality food. I had held off trying Katkin as our cat Ginger is quite fussy and I didn't want a load of wasted food and cost but he really took to it well thanks to the top tips about switching over to it and I'm delighted to say he licks his bowl clean.

Cannot rate this company enough from the quality of food, amazing customer service, delivering on time always and I even experienced personal compassion and thought. Nothing has ever been too much trouble with Katkin so giving it 10/10 for brilliance.

I had a really frustrating experience with KatKin and feel like people should be aware before signing up.
I actually spoke to someone from their team on the phone, and he asked me when I wanted my next delivery. I clearly said to hold off on the next box because my cats weren’t eating the food at all. It had already been about 5 days and they wouldn’t even touch it — not even a lick.
Then out of nowhere, I get an email from DPD saying my KatKin box has been shipped and they’re waiting to deliver it. So despite me clearly asking to pause, they went ahead and sent another box anyway.
Now I’m stuck with a freezer full of food from the first trial, and another box on the way — which is not cheap. That’s about £70 going straight in the bin, because my cats simply won’t eat it. I’m not even saying the food is bad, just that my cats hate it.
They also say they send an email 4 days before dispatch to warn you — I never received anything like that.
Overall, this feels like one of those companies where you’re automatically tied into a subscription, and it’s not as clear or easy to manage as they make it seem. Maybe I missed something in the small print, but the experience has been awful.
Just be very careful, read everything properly, and don’t assume that telling them on the phone will actually stop your deliveries.

Highly recommend KatKin after trying other makes of fresh meat catfood. My cat loves these meals. Good range, easy to order/adjust choices, delivered in recyclable boxes and packaging.
Just a shame it's got to be portioned in plastic - tins would be better.

Never any waste, from products to packaging. Extremely thoughtful concept

For clarity, the order was processed on the third, which is a day they were closed somehow.
Just when you feel like you're getting somewhere, you'll be hit by a subscription. And you need 3 days' notice to change the date which I wasn't aware of and I got told on a bank holiday of all days that my payments been taken. And that there's nothing I can do about it. And I've told them I don't want to throw all this food away, but You just get a generic email back. And then a message from DPD saying, they were delivering it anyway, which is a real shame. I had real high hopes for this product. But turns out that it's just a scam to get you in a subscription. They must make so much money.I have people not paying attention to the fact that they've opted into a subscription for such a lot of money as well. I've just about got the cats to start eating. And I've still got a freezer full of food and they've just spent me by 150 pounds more of it. That I can't possibly store. And I told them not send it out and then the next thing. I just get s DPD notification saying we're expecting a package, but they've told me that it's too late, still even though DPD haven't got the package so I've got no choice than just to throw it in the bin which is really unpleasant to do. With an animal product, I feel really upset and disappointed.
To clarify they've still not even acknowledged my emails, but they still managed to find time to reply to this funny that isn't it?I assume you are not going to email me. As they stated, this whole set up is just a way to get you to fall into a subscription. They don't ask you if your cats eating it.They make it look like they care. And then they just arbitrari, send you out an enormous order. Read the small print. This is a scam.

Ordered the trial offer after hearing about it on Instagram. At no point did it state i was signing up yo a subscription. I’ve looked at my order confirmation email and it is not mentioned there either. Only found out when i had notification they were taking money and sending another load of it.
I received a call last week from them to ask how my cat was getting in. I told them it would it touch it. The call was difficult as whoever phoned me had me on speaker phone and sounded like they were driving which i thought odd and unprofessional.
Anyway, tried yo cancel it by stating my reasons (poor transparency about it being subscription) but it would not accept it. After trying several options for ‘reason’ I'm cancelling, the only one it would accept is ‘my cat died’.
Would not use again purely on their ses tactics.
