Brilliant coffee
Brilliant coffee! Knowledgable staff. Stan who is in Covent Garden store is honestly a breath of fresh air! Great personality and fantastic customer service and very very knowledgable!
Thanks Covent Garden Stan and team!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I ordered surprise bags from Too Good to Go and they just don't have the food when you show up at the appointed collection time. I understand predicting surplus food in advance can be tricky but its not on to not cancel these orders in advance. This happened twice. I shall not be returning to Kiss the Hippo given their contempt for their customers.

I ordered coffee from these guys on the 14th Feb and still have not received my order. This is so disappointing as I’ve used them before and had no problems. I’ve sent 4 emails and had no response, now left with no option but to write a bad review.
Kiss the Hippo - Amazing selection of speciality coffees.
I’ve tried a number of speciality coffee roasters for home delivery of single-origin beans, most are good with varying delivery options and varying assortment and availability of coffees.
However, I have now settled on Kissthehippo and buy all my coffee beans from their online site. My reasons are as follows:
1. Much broader selection of coffees and more consistent availability of certain beans - This means I can consistently get the beans that I want.
2. Incredibly fresh, the roast date is consistently very close to the delivery date - This obviously means my coffee stays fresher for longer.
3. Loyalty scheme - I’ve not seen any other roaster offer a loyalty scheme, redeemable against coffee orders and coffee equipment. Kiss the Hippo’s is quite generous too.
4. Rapid and consistent shipping
The only possible drawback is that the free-shipping threshold is quite high at £50, but with 10% discount on 1-kilo of beans and such fresh-roast dates, I have switched to ordering 1kilo on a monthly-ish basis.
If you’ve tried other speciality roasters, or especially if you’re currently using supermarket beans, then give Kiss the Hippo a try – you’ll be impressed !

Delivery was SO fast and emails all super clear. Best of all the decaf coffee is actually the best i have tried. Thoroughly great service.
Took £318, didn’t deliver & wont respond
They have taken £318 for a grinder that was never delivered. They have no phone number and haven’t responded to multiple emails.
I think they may have gone out of business. If they haven’t, they should.
Avoid at all costs.
Lovely Coffee, Crap Customer Service
The coffee is lovely - top notch.
The customer service is, however, nonexistent. No phone number, and they don't respond to emails. They owe me either a bag of coffee or £30 after failing to deliver an item and then ignoring me.
So good!
I've been ordering coffee beans from them for years, so good! Orders always arrive very quickly, too.
Their Coffee is heaven
Their oat cappuccino is heaven! I really can’t find any other coffee shop serving such a good coffee.
Disappointingly poor customer service
I ordered some equipment on the 20th with next day delivery to arrive well in time for Xmas. This order seems to have got merged with an order from the previous day which did arrive. Kane at customer services emailed to tell me my second order had arrived by showing me evidence of the first order being delivered. Despite it being clear from the order details that the second item has not even been collected by the courier.
I've paid £120 for a gift that will not arrive in time for Xmas, I have no idea what's happening with the order, and Kane seems unwilling or unable to assist me in sorting out what looks like a really simple issue. There have been no further replies since I was told my order had arrived, and there is no phone number for me to call.
Just fantastic.
I have used Kiss the Hippo for a number of years now, buying both equipment and subscribing to their coffee. I have tried other companies but always found myself returning to KtH as their customer service is great, comms clear, and I’ve always been impressed by the quality of the products they sell. The coffee subscription is really easy to manage, pausing or adding items when necessary, and I’ve yet to receive a coffee that wasn’t great. Can’t recommend this company enough!
Great tasting coffee
Great tasting coffee, and great store design. Certainly one of the best coffee shops in london.
Great tasting sustainable coffee
Great tasting coffee, way better than the official Nespresso capsules and a little bit cheaper now too! Compostable too which is obviously quite important in this day. The light roast is great for espresso. I've tried a few coffee subscriptions and this is the one that has finally stopped me buying the official Nespresso capsules. Definitely would recommend.
One of the top!
One of the top!
Great coffee, well roasted, with nice texture, flavour and taste. One of the top you can find for a price, but often not out of stock.
Great variety single origin subscription
I've had the kiss the hippo single origin subscription for a number of months. It provides great quality and tasty beans to the door, in a letterbox friendly package as and when I need them. Really easy to adjust and pause the subscription as and when needed!
Love this coffee & company
I had a Union coffee subscription for a while, but have been buying Kiss the Hippo for a few months now instead and love it. Have tried lots of the different beans, and they're always great. Highly recommend for decent coffee at home.
The best coffee I’ve had in London
The best coffee I’ve had in London. Service was excellent and stuff was so friendly and helpful. The variety of coffee beans were amazing. Can’t wait to visit again.
Best coffee ever tried
Started buying kiss the hippo with a friend s suggestion but that day might be my milestone. Since then I keep filling my cupboards with it but the downside is I started not enjoying other brands after getting used to it. I hope to see kiss the hippo in westminster.
