Fraudulently Charging My Credit Card
Echoing the complaints of previous reviewers, I experienced the same issue. I contacted Le Tote several times via email to cancel my subscription and they have not responded. They continue to fraudulently charge my credit card monthly, which results in me having to dispute it monthly.
Do not use Le Tote
I have used Le Tote on and off for years, and always loved the service. I've even referred multiple friends. However, back in October, I started having issues where I wasn't recieving totes for weeks, even a month at one point. I've emailed multilpe times, spoken with customer service over the online chat, and spent hours waiting for a customer service rep over the phone to cancel my service but have been unsuccessful. The worst part is, they keep charging me the $88 fee every month but I haven't recieved a tote since November. I'm trying to dispute the charges with my bank, but in the meantime, they are continuing to charge me and aren't providing me with a service.

I use to love Le Tote, like others have mentioned it was a great service not that long ago, but now I'm really upset that there is no communication with ANYONE from the company. I filled out a complaint with the BBB and am going to file fraud charges with my bank. It's irritating that I will have to cancel my credit card in order to avoid any future charges.

I really do not understand what happened here. When I first signed up in 2017, it was a great service. Nice selection, totes shipped quickly. Now they do not respond to any requests and wait 3 weeks to ship out totes. There is no value in a monthly subscription when they are not sending you the clothing timely. What happened?!?!?!
AVOID, IT'S FRAUD
As many others have said, Le Tote used to be a real company but now it's a complete sham. I reached out multiple times via online chat, multiple emails and calls to their disconnected phone lines... of course, no answer to any outreach. Someone mentioned in a past review that Le Tote does respond if you mention a lawyer or your request is not regarding an account cancelation. Pretty sketchy, right? I'll be trying those options and have also contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge and stop any future ones. Utterly ridiculous!!
Fraud, Impossible to cancel, but still getting charged
Me as well, I signed up on Sept 23, received 1 Tote, and never the other. Since Sept 23 I have been trying to cancel!!! Impossible to cancel, numbers are disconnected, and emails are unanswered but they still charge my card. Such a fraud. I needed to call my bank too to stop the transactions.
This service is a scam
I agree with previous reviews. This service is a fraud. I signed up in September and received my first box 2 weeks later. I returned the box when finished and never received another box. I have attempted to cancel for months but there is no way to get a hold of anybody. The phone number is no good and emails remain unanswered. They continue to charge my card every month. I had to call my bank to dispute the charges and cancel my card so that they cannot continue to charge me.
LeTote has disappeared with our money.
I've been a member on & off since 2016 and (foolishly) reactivated in Fall 2023, to boost my holiday wardrobe. Each Tote took 3+ weeks to arrive, and I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone to cancel for good (the only reason I didn't cancel after the 1st Tote was because I thought the delayed shipping was a 1-time thing... I wasn't aware of all the issues going on with the company). The chat function on the website doesn't work, there's no response to emails, and the phone seems to be disconnected. Like so many others, I keep getting charged.

Can't get anyone on the phone, or email or chat. I had to eventually get my bank card to cancel their attempts to withdraw more funds out of my account. BEWARE, this is fraud. It's impossible to cancel your membership
Impossible to cancel your membership after emails, calls (number is disconnected), ChatBot (disabled), and when you click on their "Help Center" it responds with a message saying, "Oops, this help center no longer exists." They have an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau. Class action lawsuit is next for LeTote.

I used to love the service and found the clothes to be decent quality. The options declined considerably and it was just cheap, poorly made clothing available. The customer service used to be so fast - within 10 minutes you’d get a reply if you needed help or to put your account on hold. Now it seems, as others have noted, that there is no one responding to inquiries. Impossible to cancel online. Website says they’ll start shipping again in January but they’re auto emailing that my subscription will be charged now? Scammy. Wouldn’t recommend at all anymore.

I signed up for unlimited monthly boxes. My first tote was in poor shape. I emailed customer service to cancel. To my surprise after a month, a second box was sent and charge to my account. After multiple attempts to contact customer service, I was told I had to call in (online service page doesn’t work and they don’t respond to email). The second box took over a month to fill. This is a scam and false advertisement

I’ve been using le tote for many years The quality of clothes and the user interface significantly declined over the past year, but recently they’ve simply been stealing customers’ money. The boxes do not get shipped, customer service is completely non existent, and THEY DO NOT REFUND YOU OR ALLOW YOU TO CANCEL. I cannot believe it’s legal for them to operate like this.
If your business is going under, the next step is very simple: stop charging people for services they are not getting!
Renter Beware - not what it used to be
I came here to warn anyone looking to start a Le Tote subscription NOT TO and I see others are having the exact issues I have. I am also a loyal 7 year Le Tote subscriber. Something happened in January of 2023 and things have never been the same. Shipping takes multiple weeks and the customer service is non existent. I cannot get someone via chat or email. The old customer service "help" button is disabled on their site. I have yet to actually cancel because I cannot get ahold of anyone. Renter beware- this is not worth it! I also use Express Style Trial and while I cannot choose my clothes, I really like the expedient shipping and quality/fit of the clothes.

Gift card purchased for my pregnant daughter-in-law. She was directed to start an account which she did and was charged but never received merchandise. She was told some story about delays due to warehouse transfers. She was billed-and without receiving merchandise-necessitating a cancellation of her credit card to stop the billing! I am attempting to recoup gift card purchase but apparently LeTote reported to my credit card company that merchandise was sent using said gift card! I am continuing my attempts to contact Le Tote (ah, yes, the two phone numbers and emails go unanswered) and ask for tracking info regarding the alleged shipment. Better Business Bureau also has negative reports. Stay clear of this company!
Loved them for years but something is…
Loved them for years but something is wrong these days. Are they even still in business? I put my subscription on hold then later canceled it. In September I started getting charged again but didn’t receive a September or October shipment. There’s no one answering my inquiries. Seems like the lights are off.
Very Poor Customer Service
I accidentally purchased four maternity items in early May 2023 thinking that I was selecting my items for my box. I had used Le Tote in the past and it was intuitive and easy to use then so when I mistakenly purchased 4 items totally about $270 I was upset. I immediately messaged the company saying I would like to refund them and was told that I could and would receive a full refund. After 35 days of dealing with sending the order back, tracking it, and waiting for it to be processed I then received a message saying that I would be getting $2-$4 for each piece refunded, that didn't even cover the shipping back. Even if I wasn't able to get a refund, they should have said that up front and I would have kept the clothes. In late June, I was told that they will issue the full refund but it is now early July and I still haven't seen the refund. It takes on average 4-6 business days to get any sort of response back from customer service. This has been the most frustrating experience I've had in a really long time. I can't imagine how they are still in business.
