DON'T USE LE TOTE
I've been using Le Tote for 7 years but it is no longer a viable or trustworthy business. Over the past 6 months I have experienced delays in shipping for up to two weeks. Customer service makes promises they can't keep. If you're considering Le Tote, please look elsewhere. It's not worth the headache at this point

I used the service and liked it for years, then over the past year they never seem have anything in stock, the sizes are off, the clothes are often in poor condition, and it takes over 10 days to get a new box, I will be canceling.
Poor Service and Communication
I agree with the reviews that say how wonderful this company and the service was before the bankruptcy. I'm so frustrated with the lack of response and service now, I'm thinking I might cancel. I understand how some services suffered during and after COVID, but don't raise your prices and slow down the receipt of totes. I'm going on over a week without a shipment that is due, and no answer to my email inquiries.

I used to love this company and this service. I told my friends about it, I was hooked. But something happened after the bankruptcy - they are so disorganized and take so long to ship the items. I suspect they are delaying shipping to save on costs - feels very dishonest.
Le Tote refuses to cancel subscriptions or refund fraudulent charges
Very, very poor experience with Le Tote. If anyone is considering signing up with them, I strongly suggest you do your research on this company and read the countless comments, reviews, and lawsuits outlining their shady business practices.
I asked to cancel my subscription but they continue to charge me month after month after month. They deliberately make it impossible to get in touch with them, to cancel subscriptions, or to get refunds for erroneous charges. Please save yourself the headache and try a reputable clothing rental company. There are so many good options out there.
I feel like I'm being bamboozled!
I liked this service initially, however they evidently had a planned warehouse expansion beginning 12/23/22 that was supposed to end on 1/23/23. I have not received a new shipment in nearly two months now despite still being charged for the service. I did not receive any prior communication regarding their planned outage in service, and only found out after inquiring as to why my selected items had not shipped in weeks. It is now the first week of February and I still have not received any shipments since December. I cant cancel directly online, and it is nearly impossible to get in touch with a live person in customer service, email and portal messages have had no response either.

This company is THE ABSOLUTE WORST of all the internet companies doing this. I received a gift of $250 for Le Tote from a friend. When I went to the site to apply the gift card, they were offering 40% off of the first two months. When I tried to use the gift card and take advantage of that offer, they told me that I couldn't use two coupon codes. I said "I'm not using two coupon codes. I'm using a gift card which is CASH and the code on your site for discount on first two months." They refused to honor it. Then, I wanted to use the remainder of of my money on account to purchase a few items. I was told I could not do that. I asked "WHAT, WHY?"...I was told that I could only use my gift card money on account for an additional month of membership. Needless to say, I DO NOT WANT any additional shipments from them. They will get to keep almost $80 of my money. ADDITIONALLY....all but two items DID NOT FIT. I sent accurate measurements. They don't have a clue how their items fit.
Oh my goodness where to start
Oh my goodness where to start. From the first tote I was disappointed in the extremely high cost and very low quality. The clothing was very worn, pilled, almost everything available was from last season or longer, and every item received had a distinct, unpleasant odor. I’ve been actively trying to cancel my account for a month, there is no option to do this online. You can only put it ‘on hold’ from your account. While I’ve emailed them 4-5 times stating I want to cancel, they’ve responded with:
I can confirm that your account is currently on hold until December 17, 2022 and your next billing date is on January 11, 2023.
To add insult, after I emailed them I want to cancel they still charged me $85 for the next month’s fee. I’ve asked them to process the refund multiple times and their answers have been:
Not to worry - all of your paid time will roll over for you to enjoy once you come off hold!
Just awful. Immoral and dishonest business and extremely poor product quality and service. 0/10!
I used to love Letote
I used to love Letote and I have been a loyal customer for years. There have always been frustrations, but it was worth it me because this is the cheapest rental service that had the package options that I wanted.
In the past few months, they have merged the maternity service with the standard service and there is no way to filter out maternity clothes when you search. This is annoying, but they have been promising (for at least 6 months) that their engineers are working on it. (How long does it take to type one line of code, really?)
The final straw was that they eliminated my favorite package and raised their prices by $20 so they could focus on offering “better brands and exciting new features.” There are no better brands or new features, and now there is also no customer service. It is going on a couple of weeks to get a response.
Also, their shipping time sucks, so I absolutely hate my new plan of “unlimited” totes per month. It’s now been 4 days since I shipped my tote back, and I JUST NOW got the go ahead to select my new tote. Since their processing and shipping takes about 5 days, that’s at minimum 9 days without clothes. I kept the clothes for 5 days, so that is 66% of the time without product. What am I paying for????
Incorrect charges a big inconvience
I got one tote with several items. The selection was okay but not great. I liked two of the items a lot. After using the items I returned them all and cancelled my membership. A couple weeks later I got a charge on my card for $246 for three items it claimed I had purchased but I had actually returned. Customer service said they will refund me in "several days" that was on 6/2/22. Now it is 6/8/22 and I do not have a refund yet. So be careful if you order from here that you have enough money in your account to cover any of the items they may randomly charge you for.

Terrible customer service and sub-par used clothing. I tried a tote for free and was so disappointed in the quality. One piece they sent was so used it has lost it’s shape. The timeframe to use the tote was supposed to be 14 days but, it was only 11 because they counted shipping as part of my time. We had a major storm and I couldn’t get to the mail for the return so, I emailed and asked for an extension. I was charged $150 the next day and then, 4 days later, they attempted another charge. When I called customer service they said they would take care of everything and issue me a credit once they got the tote back. Save yourself the frustration and try another service.

Horrible customer service. Terrible inventory to select pieces. I put my account on hold and was charged anyway and had to dispute the charge.

My honest opinion of Le Tote. Overall I do not have time to shop and shopping on line is not the best thing when you wish to try on your clothing. I came across Le Tote at my near by Lord & Taylor when in need of an outfit for an event. I inquired about it called in and signed up, because no one was at the store to attend to me. First red flag, there was a 2 month promotion for 50% off the initial monthly payments when you subscribe that I was not told about. Immediately next day a rep from Lord & Taylor got on the phone and spoke to someone and just so you know your reps are in 3rd world countries so be aware they are not paying them enough already. I received surveys to complete on their performances it is how I know where these call centers are at! The clothing I received I understand were suppose to be used, but 75% of the items are worn out, stretched out, deformed, damaged, color ran , thread sticking out , or with holes. It is apparent they do not dry clean and its obvious there is no quality control prior to shipment. Pretty sad they have attached themselves to Lord & Taylor. DO NOT SUBSCRIBE! Do yourself a favor and buy your clothes at Lord & Taylor brand new. They have plenty of sales and although I did not have the time to shop, after this ordeal I will take the initiative to shop and not endure these disgusting used clothes shipped to me. Never Again !!!

Lacking inventory
I have been renting from Le Tote for two years. I love the concept. I also credit them for a few perks they offer; you choose your items, can get extra items in a shipment (for a fee), and customer service will fairly compensate if there is ever an issue with the box. I alsoappreciate the newly added reviews and photos that other renters can post. Yet, I paused my account and I will try other companies. The inventory is just lacking, you may see a large selection, but it’s very limited when it’s time to customize your order. I counted 102 items in my favorites, yet I only have 7 to select from. These 7 were tanks and shorts in November. It should also be mentioned that they sell used clothes at a hirer price then you may find brand new in stores like The Rack and etc- do your homework before you purchase. You can still get some amazing deals when clothes go on sale.

Totally ripped off by LeTote
This is the second time I tried LeTote. My issue the first time was small selection of clothes were shipped in too small a box they’d be wrinkled and some dirty. They seemed to want to overcome that with customer service. This time, it’s all downhill! The horribly wrinkled items all had to be dry cleaned before wearing any and they were demanding return or payment before I even had chance to wear them. So I paid in full but complained of wrinkles. They comped me two items which I also purchased in full but they hung up my styling saying I didn’t return or pay for my first tote and would’ let me get another tote. So, I told customer service and tried to cancel my membership but was Charged again! I even sent photos of my bank payments the rep and I swapped photos of the same tote, him saying it still needed payment and mine from my account showing it was paid?! Seriously?! I ended up paying f three membership fees for only one tote and continued demands for more payment.
What a complete SCAM!! They ripped me off, Don’t trust this company with your money.

Easy fashion for Execs
Been using Le Tote for six plus months. I enjoy the variety of clothing and most everything has fit me with a few exceptions. I am an executive and it is great to have nice workplace wear that is replaced every month. It is easy to mail back and the selection process is also very smooth. Would love to see more high end choices available.

Letote was great at first...
Letote was great at first. I loved having new things to wear every week and I enjoyed choosing things that were different or not really my style to try out - things I probably wouldn't purchase at the store. BUT, after a while (I had letote for almost 2 years), it became harder and harder to choose items from my "closet" to be in my box because they were always unavailable. My guess is they got more subscribers and just couldn't keep the nice stuff in inventory. So for the last couple of months, I was forced to choose things I really didn't like and never even wore. I kept doing it though because I always hoped it would get better. Then, on one occasion, my card was turned off because the bank suspected fraud and I had no idea (I had done a lot of online shopping and the bank thought, since I was purchasing from different states, that it was fraud). So, what does letote do after they couldn't get their money for the month after just one day? As soon as my card was turned back on the next day, they charged my account for the month PLUS almost 300 dollars for the entire last tote. The same tote I had JUST sent back (because at this point I was clueless that they even charged me for the tote or had problems getting my payment). I called them, was told I would get a refund as soon as they got the items. I said okay, and I told them to just cancel my subscription as well. I hadn't been happy with letote for a while and this just set me over the edge. Anyways, this happened in September. It is now January. I never got my refund for the clothes, and have been charged the monthly fee every month since, despite the fact I canceled my subscription, removed my card information from my account online, and have called them several times. Each time they say I will be refunded, now over 550 dollars, but it hasn't happened. I am very mad. Be very careful about this company. It is a great idea, and is fun until something like this happens and you have to deal with customer service. It is ran very unethically. They are very difficult to get ahold of, and when you do get ahold of someone, they make promises and tell you what you want to hear, but nothing will be done about it. Maybe I have just had bad luck, but I am about to report them to my bank. I am sick of paying 70 a month for something I don't even use. How they are even charging my account without my card info on file, I have no idea. My account online says "subscription cancelled." So STOP CHARGING ME! And give me my $300 back for the clothes I didn't buy and for every charge since September!!!!
