They are scammers. I am a vulnerable person and they took advantage of me for breaking in and changing my lock, whilst i was moving then tried to steal my lockbox which my mover guys luckily caught them before they could run away. A guy called john. he lied about the price when I asked for total- added vat on top charged me for two locks. I paid £1038 under pressure. They are horrid. They are scammers. I am currently in the process of reporting them and will be calling police for attempted theft.

Scam! Scam!

Hear all, hear me! Everywhere and anywhere! I just want to warn everyone that today, (April 20) I got ripped off by In Locksmith 24/7.
I am a poor college student trying to make my way in the world. I am financially struggling. My current job does not pay a living wage but I face the daily grind and work hard hoping to have a better life soon. It took me many years of hardship and hard work to buy my used Toyota Corolla. I live day to day with the world on my shoulders due to the financial burden of daily living. I could not get into my Toyota Corolla and I did not have a spare. I got taken advantage of in my vulnerable stressed out state.

Locksmith 24/7 would not tell me how much it would cost to get a replacement key and a spare. I did not get a quote over the phone and I did not get a quote in person. Who does that?!
No one performs the job and then asks for payment. The locksmith that showed up and had the nerve to ask for $1874 for a job that took a few minutes of his time. I should have been charged $500 max if I had gone to the Toyota dealer. It was even more fishy how the payment showed up on zelle. It showed up like this:
ZIV $374 ZIV $500 ZIV $500 ZIV $500

I immediately called and reported these scammers to my bank.
I have encountered a huge financial setback and being scammed like this has affected my health as I struggle with sleeping and eating. I walk around in a depression fog and all I can think about is the $1874 that Locksmith 24/7 stole from me.
With the prices they charged, I could have bought another car. I recently saw an excellent used Toyota Yaris for $1400. Be warned! Stay away from Locksmith 24/7! They are scammers! Locksmith 24/7 is getting rich by stealing money from unwary customers for their own personal gain. Shame on you Locksmith 24/7!

Last night I had a lock locked in my home door. A locksmith was called to help open our door. The company is called 7 Day Locksmith. This company employs scammers. The website says it costs £35 a challenge. The master replaced the castle, which costs £15, he told us that £150, We later found out when he left. We ended up paying £417. We were just in shock. This is a robbery. So they use an unpleasant situation to deceive people. Please dont call these mashenneks.

Overpriced and Misleading – Avoid!

I called this locksmith in an emergency when I was locked out. At first, he quoted £500, which was completely unreasonable. After I pushed back, he lowered the price to £190 to break the lock and £162 to install a Yale lock, totaling £390—still way overpriced for the service provided.

He did not attempt non-destructive entry and immediately broke the lock, which felt unnecessary. Then, after agreeing on the price, he suddenly added 20% VAT, which was never mentioned before, making it even more expensive. This felt like a deliberate attempt to overcharge.

I strongly advise anyone needing a locksmith to check reviews carefully and get a clear, written price upfront before agreeing to anything. If you’re in an emergency, don’t let them pressure you into paying excessive fees.

Lowest level of humanity -scum - avoid at all costs

Absolute scammers and do not use under any circumstances. Here is what I understand of this company.
1) They pay for clicks on google so they remain at the top so if you are in a panic (like I was) then you click on them
2) They tailor their home page such that it looks like they are local to your area if you have looked at say "locksmiths near me", but they are actually just a centralised company (going under top lock and key services ltd) based in east london and they use other companies in the local areas to do their jobs and charge insane amounts of money to do them. The also have several other names
3) They change their phone number every day so it is impossible, once the job is done, to get hold of them - they are also incredibly rude on the phone.
My situation was that my elderly mother needed urgently a lock changing - my father has recently died and we have huge amounts of admin to deal with not least grief and I was several hours away so couldn't get to her in any time decent. Panicking I just clicked on the first one and arrange someone to come out - I was very stupid to use them without checking reviews and also the person said they would quote me when they got there, but I was just so worried about my mum. The job was arranged with one of these local companies. Apparently the man was very nice (I don't blame him) but he charged her £899 for a lock change without any itemisation. My mother is vulnerable and didn't know what else to do but pay but this is taking advantage at the most disgusting level. I have since spoken to the man who did the job and he managed to negotiate £150 back for me (like I say I don't blame him - he just works for another company and was just doing what he was told) but that still means we paid £749. I feel stupid and scammed and most of all mortified that I put my poor mother in this situation. I will be reporting to CAB and trading standards. Anyone who has had similar I urge you to do the same and other people please do not use.

Overall

Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing. Lack of transparency, overcharging, and failure to provide a proper receipt raise serious concerns about the integrity of this service. I would not recommend this locksmith to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional service. I am a property manager, and I had a call-out today for someone to adjust my lock. He told me the lock was fine and just needed maintenance. After opening the lock, he seemed to struggle with putting it back together. Then, he said I needed to buy apart from Banham. (Note: After he fitted the lock, I found a small metal piece on the floor.)

He later called me and said the part would cost £160. I asked him to provide a receipt, and he said he would check. When he returned, he claimed he had paid in cash and could not provide a receipt. Now, the owner has asked me for a receipt. All I am asking for is a receipt—if you cannot provide one, then you have defrauded me.

The problem is now fixed, but the handle is hard to pull. He mentioned that it would take a few days to become smooth.

I am quite disappointed that he could not provide a receipt for Banham. Additionally, he charged me £60 for the call-out and another £60 for something else, but I am unsure what it was, as I cannot read the receipt. In total, he charged me £280 for nothing.

Furthermore, he made a comment about the house owner being extremely rich, and the owner overheard him.
