Scam

God, when i came to write a review of my experience to make sure no customer is affected, reading the review I understood how many people faced the same situation like me.

A BIG SCAM

I am really pissed off with their service. The lady, when asked for the detailed quotation, provided it to me for 55 GBP + VAT for a simple opening and for drilling, it is 86 GBP + VAT. However, when the locksmith arrived at my place to open the door, he just opened it in a minute using a swipe card, and when I asked for the amount, he mentioned it was 110 + VAT. (55 for basic + 55 for travel + VAT), which shocked me.

When I asked for the breakdown and tried to provide the quotation that the customer care lady provided, he said I had to pay the toll fee charges for his trip. This is pointless; when providing the quotation, everything should be included, and most importantly, it must be mentioned, so that the customer will decide whether he or she can afford their service. When I tried calling back to the customer care lady and asking the same, she just said she can't do anything, which is very annoying.

On top of it, when I tried to explain the same to the locksmith who came to open the door, he started using foul language and started behaving inappropriately, which is extremely annoying.

I hated their service. I ended up paying the extra amount and bearing his pathetic behaviour.

Please don't fall into their trap like me.

I SOULD HAVE READ/SEEN THESE COMMENTS BEFORE OPTING THEIR SERVICE.

SCAMMERS BEWARE

As other reviews have stated, this company is a complete scam.
I’m disabled and I locked myself out, I desperately needed my medication indoors.
I called and asked how much to get into my flat and was quoted £55, to which I agreed. The locksmith came, he used my piece of card and took under 5 minutes to gain access. He then charged me £130, a far cry from the £55 I’d been quoted. I was told there’s a separate call out fee and VAT on top. I tried to dispute it but was unwell and needed to take my medication so I paid. I’ve written a complaint but I don’t hold out much hope. I wish I’d seen these reviews before calling them!

Awful price negotiation.

The lock was instoled well and within 15min.

However I was told over the phone that price on average is £80-100 pounds. Depending on the type of lock in may go to £150.

Two different price range at the start. I said that that I need basic lock and budget of £100.

The technican came to the house, showed me the lock and said it will be £200, but it if its too much he can remove it and get me the old one back.

We had a discusion about how the office prices looks like and that it's double in practice. He added that £200 pounds it's just for the material and he takes only £50 for labour.

I didn't feel right but I had to have locks changed as there was a few attempts to enter the house.

The man came back with the invoice for £300.

I was close to cry.

I said that I will not pay this. The man removed the new locked and was about to leave me without placing my old lock back as it was.
He did not arrive here for free...

I have reminded him that the price was changed few times and its based on people's level of fear.

Sure it is easy to force a woman to pay whatever its possible to get and leave the door without any locked. Additionally he was angry with me!

Finally he decided to keep £250 and new lock on.

The job was done. However the way it was handled was horrible.
Not only because of few price changes but negotiations based on fear.

Quite awful.

Before he left he called me a 'housewife'. I didn't know that I have a husband...

Scam

Scam! Tried to persuade me to drill through back door lock even though front door was the one jammed. Then as he saw I wasn't going for that, he jimmied front door open.
He then left because he said it needed new part. Door was left with no lock on for 2hrs while I was alone with small children.
He then came back and said the new part would cost £490! (I'd looked online so knew this was a lie).
He tried charging £500 snd I refused. Eventually he dropped to £300 incl VAT

Scam company 100%

Scam company 100%
PVC door locking mechanism, middle lock broken.

Before he even started he said 'oh this will be a bigger job. Maybe around £260.
Then, when the mechanism is off, he says, 'I have to take this back and check how much it costs'

Luckily I had already paid the £260 (rip off anyway), then he comes back with another £638 quote, and says 'I'm not re attaching your old mechanism unless you pay, as you only paid to open the door'

At which point i said, 'the mechanism is ours and it would be theft' so he comes back and leaves our door free hanging, the mechanism propped up and £260 richer.

Absolute robbers

Absolute robbers. Kicking myself that I paid £375. For drilling out and replacing a new barrel +3keys. Should have given him £150. And told him to get lost or ring the police. Don’t go near these a-holes

Call your local dealership and ask them

Called to have them come out and make a key for a 2000 Jeep Wrangler. The key did not work. They said if there was ANY problems they would come back to make it right. Now they want me to have a mechanic send diagnostic proof that is not the key. I basically threw away $500.

Very disappointed with this experience

Very disappointed with this experience. I made sure to get a quote before having a locksmith arrive on property, they grossly underestimated their price and were not clear on fees. The locksmith arrived and drilled the lock (which I later learned did not require drilling) and received a bill far higher than estimated/expected. The locksmith had the audacity to then offer to order me a new lock and come another day to install for a highly inflated amount. I hand another emergency locksmith come in who confirmed the lock did not require drilling and charged a far lower fee for ordering and installing the new lock. overall I paid double what was necessary, avoid if you can.

£382.80 to drill a hole in a lock

Agreed to £39 call out and £50 small job fee. The locksmith they sent out proceeded to drill a hole in my lock without replacing it, then once standing inside my house, which at this point didn't have a locking door, wrote an invoice for £382.80. He then told me I had to do a bank transfer, despite twice previously agreeing to paying by card and him clearly having a card reader in his tool box. The company he made me transfer the money to, dissolved four months earlier according to companies house. The email address on their invoices bounces back every time. When I called the locksmith to question the invoice and the abysmal 'job' he did, which resulted in another £100 to get a professional locksmith to fix it, he told me to 'go f*&@' myself

Absolutely joke of a company

Absolutely joke of a company. I rang twice about a price on a door being wedged and they costed me £50+ Vat. No mention of a call out charge…it was only when we he was leaving he priced us for a call out charge. There is no transparency No responsibility taken by the useless incompetent person on the other end of the phone as she feels it’s not part of the price and still after 20mins of arguing and trying to get my point across. She feels I should ask more questions before I booked them.

STAY CLEAR I DID NOT PAY THEM THE CALL OUT CHARGE.

Absolute scam artists

Absolute scam artists, rude and aggressive in person also.

Horrible experience, aggressive staff member who tried to charge me over double for call out when the quote and expected price was astronomical before even buying parts. Had to ask him to come out of my house as he was physically in my space trying to argue with me.

Absolute scam of a company

Absolute scam of a company. Initially quoted £45 for labour, they charged me £140 plus VAT.

Claimed the locks were very high quality so they were expensive. Charged £610 for them. When I looked online later they were worth around £50. Made me feel very stupid. To add insult to injury the locks they installed were a downgrade from the previous locks we had on our house.

Do not use under any circumstances.

Scummy operation

Scummy operation. Do not use them under any circumstance.

Spoke to a phone operator to arrange a call out and was quoted a £49 + VAT labour charge, plus any parts.

Sullen, monosyllabic locksmith arrived and immediately tried to charge 3x the going rate for a replacement cylinder. I can stomach a mark-up but that's straight-up predatory behaviour, so said I wouldn't be using them and would look for someone else to do it.

Suddenly, the call out charge he was demanding had ballooned to £108 for an "emergency callout" despite it not being an urgent request. Disputed this charge with him for a time and he became quite obnoxious before pretending he was late to another customer (not likely given he'd only been with us for around 5 mins).

For reference, I quoted with 5 other local locksmiths immediately following this – 3 were offering the replacement part at cost (£150), one at £200 and one at £210. Labour costs for all of them ranged from £50-£80.

This company's price was £438 for the part (approx. triple the going rate) and £108 for the callout, for a total of £546.

We eventually had the job done by a local locksmith for £212 all in, fully £330 cheaper than this company's quote.

Avoid like the plague.
