Absolute disgrace of a company

Absolute disgrace of a company, avoid at all costs - and I do mean costs! Charged a desperate and vulnerable person £504 to do a job that, when questioned, anonymously was quoted £105 for. The parts they charged £177 for can be found online for less then ten pounds!!!

Rouge lock smith

My front door did not open. I called londonlocksmith 24h.This is not an urgent job and I phoned the company and asked the price. He said £50.
A man turned up 2-3 hours time.
He used a drill. Just opening a door, he charged me over £300.
Anyway he did not completed his job. He made a big hall on the door. He asked me another £160+ vat for a replacing lock. I asked him to stop his work. This is a rip-off.
He used Uk Top Notch xxxx for invoice. I complained that this is not my original company. Scam!
I really hope the Government to set lock smith trade regulations.

Absolute scammers

Absolute scammers! Wish I read the reviews first! Called as we was locked out. Called and asked how much it would be and they said £55 for a simple lock which I knew I had. He gets here, tells me that it’s £55 call out fee but £95 to get us in so my partner got more cash out. Then proceeded to tell us it’s 30% VAT on top once we handed him the money which there was no way I was paying. Do not use. Don’t get mugged or like we just did and are now left with nothing.

Beware scammers

Called the company to ask the price of changing just the lock to my upvc door all the mechanism was fine and was told that all locks were £25 and £49 to fit, the woman on the phone even totalled it up for me saying £74. I agreed and the engineer came, he took my lock to bits and then said the job was going to be much harder than a standard replacement and if I wanted the same quality of lock it was going to be £164. When I argued about the price and even rang the office to discuss my original price quoted I was called a liar by a guy on the phone. I put the phone down told the engineer I was going to call the police as I felt I was been scammed and would make sure I put a terrible review on every local social media site I could find and he offered the job at £100. As my lock was in bits I agreed and he was done and finished within 10 minutes. Do not use this company under any circumstances, if I hadn't the nerve to stand up to them I would have been a lot worse off!!!!!

National Locksmith Ltd sent…

The company National Locksmith Ltd sent out an engineer to fix jammed lock on front door mechanism. My other half was desperate as she had to go out. The East european guy quoted her £650 and said he had to go and get part. He returned a few hrs later saying he had to drive for an hour to collect part. He only changed the gearbox. Absolute Scammers. Checked with a local registered locksmith who said he had done a similar job on a neighbours property for £145. Will be reporting to trading standards

Scammed from a £49 quote to a £1056 bill

Scammed from a £49 quote to a £1056 bill. Every step of the way, the price increased. Once all locks were removed from my door, I was left no choice but to let them complete the job, as I needed something there. I was overpriced on door mechanism and locks by over £377.14 alone, and charger £176 for VAT. DO NOT USE THEM!

DO NOT USE THE ABOVE COMPANY TO FIT A LOCK. SCAMMERS.
It is a shame that this Company are able to get way with massively overcharging vulnerable people to fit a new lock to their front door. They charged my Brother, who is 77 , has had a stroke and can hardly speak, £600 to fit one. As I live in Kent I only heard about this from his neighbour who telephoned me and who originally rung the Locksmith. He was not given a receipt or invoice. After several calls to the Locksmith to ask for a breakdown I was cut off the phone and he refused to speak to me. After all the bad reviews that this Company has got on Trustpilot I hope something will finally be done.

Similar to others

Similar to others - complete scammers. Avoid at all costs. They tried all the tricks of the trade - suggested that the best way to get back into our deadlocked Nightlatch led house was by cutting through our most expensive, modern and sophisticated upvc back door with a charge of at least £450. After saying that sounded ridiculous - after negotiation agreed to go through our £25 Yale Nightlatch on our front door, ended up ripping us off for £180, 5 seconds drilling with a big standard drill and normal drill bit - then tried a ridiculous quote to replace the lock. Other tricks he succeeded with: pulling my wife only to the side to add on vat, taking all the lock parts away without me spotting that were reusable and will probably be used on another scam. Fake reviews throughout this website praying on desperate people, in our situation a 1 and 3 year old in the car about to go on holiday. Looks like we got off relatively lightly compared to some. Avoid these scammers at all costs, horrendous.

Gigi the Locksmith

Gigi was very professional when recommending and fitting our front, back door and window locks. Our doors were old and the installations were very tricky. We will definitely be using Gigi and his company again.
