price match failed to deliver

price match failed to deliver. I ordered through Customer Service and asked them if they do price match as Walmart had the product on sale. I addressed it with their executive office and was told it is not a Lowes issue and said he will reroute me back to Rona. It was going in circles for over a year and they never resolved the issue. I reached out directly to the executives directly. No response or resolution to date. I would never shop at Rona or Lowes as their staff is very incompetent and their executives does not care. What they fail to realize, it is the customer who is paying their salaries.

I purchased a generator from them in…

I purchased a generator from them in 2019 that came with a three year warranty from the manufacturer and was sold a Comerco warranty that was supposed to activate for four years of coverage after the original expired. I had an email from Lowes stating exactly those terms and felt secure that my purchase was covered for a total of seven years. With one year left I nee a service on the Firman generator and Comerco is refusing, saying that they cover four years after the first year of manufacture warranty only. What a sham , save your money and don’t buy third party warranties, they are a rip off . Poor little guy gets it again.

Worst customer care I have ever…

Worst customer care I have ever encountered! You get sent down a rabbit hole with the auto phone responses. I received a refrigerator damaged, the delivery people took pictures, talked with some one and tole me some one would reach out. Over a week now and I have to do the dance of sending pictures and have my time used up by a company too lazy to staff a phone.

Vancouver Rona Grandview location…

Vancouver Rona Grandview location closing due to poor sales

I visited Grandview Rona the afternoon of Dec. 7, 2023 to buy metric bolts for mounting my TV. As another reviewer mentioned, very few staff are working at this location, and so I felt lucky after finding the fasteners section by myself within 5 minutes of entering the store.

Then came a bigger challenge: finding the right size metric bolts within that section. After about 10 minutes of searching, I found some which fit my TV, but they didn't have heads I could tighten with my screwdriver. I wanted to ask someone familiar with that section if there were other metric fasteners I hadn't noticed, but I didn't see anyone in the department, so I asked a (rare) passing worker if they could help me.

They tried their best, but we didn't find any metric bold I hadn't already seen. I asked them if this store is always short-staffed, and they said yes, and that, like Lowe's/Rona in Queensborough, Grandview Rona would also be permanently closing due to poor sales.

I said that I also shop at Home Depot in Vancouver and Burnaby, and that they appear to be doing well based on their stores being at least partially full of customers. They replied Home Depot is more successful at keeping customers because they employ enough people to help customers, unlike Rona/ Lowe's.

They added, "Home Depot pays their staff better, and does not continually reduce employee hours, forcing experienced workers to quit and be replaced by new, often inexperienced ones unable to help customers find what they need."

I have been trying to submit a review for an employee

I have been trying to submit a review for an outstanding employee, but it won't let me because it has been 10 days since the purchase (which is annoying) so I am writing for everyone to see! Syeda in the blind department at Calgary McKenzie Lowes is an absolute gem! From beginning to end she was amazing, she is knowledgeable, kind and patient. If not for her I may have purchased elsewhere as not all employees are helpful! Thank you Syeda, it's nice to know that there still people who truly care about their customers.

We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator and…

We bought a Frigidaire refrigerator and bought the extended warranty. On the July long weekend we started having problems with it and I put in the service request on July 6th. A tech was sent out on July 14th and we were told the parts would be in the following Tuesday. My husband called and the tech didn't know when the parts would be in. No one contacted us and after a couple of weeks I called. They had no ETA on the parts and offered us a mini fridge but we had to pay up front and wait to be reimbursed. We could not afford this so we waited. No contact again so I called back again. I was told all of the parts would be in today, Aug. 14th. My husband called and he was told they won't be in until September 8th and when I checked my email it said Sept. 11th. We are offered an in store credit of the same amount to get a new fridge but they will not cover delivery which is ridiculous. We have had to throw out about $250 worth of meat and vegetables because they thawed when the freezer stopped working. Please do not buy the extended warranty. The company they go through is Comerco and it has been absolutely ridiculous. I will not be leaving a good review for them.

Poor Customer Service at Lowes South

The handyman needed something from the hardware so I offered to run to Lowe's thinking that there is an assistant that will be available in case I would have a hard time finding it. I need to buy an electrical outlet to replace the old one and a flat spacer with a picture I can look to find it.
When I was at the electrical aisle and somehow confused of finding the right one to buy there was this big, fat guy apparently a staff because he is in uniform who looked at me as he passed by. He didn't even try to ask if I need help. I didn't also bother to ask as I thought I could do it myself. I was also looking for the spacer at the same time which I don't know where to find. Until I decided to look for someone to assist me. I only saw the same guy walking towards me so with a smile I said " I think I have no choice but to ask you" But with his poker face he just replied "Go to aisle 18 and it is in the specialty bin". Was quite scared of his demeanor so I didn't say anything but "thank you" and went to the aisle. He didn't even walk with me to find the item seeing me being a 72 year old woman with no full knowledge of what I am buying. I went out with the items I bought but didn't care to buy the outlet I also need.
Such arrogant behavior should not be working there!

It shouldn't be self-service

I'm usually self-sufficient in these stores but today, I needed basic help with purchasing the Scott's Black Earth as advertised in their flyer. That flyer is on a large display as you enter the store but the associates didn't know what was in the flyer and didn't have access to a flyer and kept bringing up other products. Can't they access the website for a digital flyer and why aren't associates keeping apprised of the current store offerings? I went to Customer Service, they said they couldn't access the flyer either so I pointed to the big sign just beyond their station and then called the associate I was speaking with before to give her the details. I was able to purchase the 4 bags I needed and was told to pull up at the front outside of the store and just load from the inventory there. There was no inventory. I went to the garden centre, that associate didn't know the product, didn't have the flyer, and pointed me to the back of the garden centre to go find a flyer special on my own. I asked her to call support which she did. Support came for my request but another customer who arrived after me had scooped him up and 2 other customers were also waiting for help. I ended up finding the product myself, it wasn't in the back it was near the front which was great but then as I tried to load it onto the cart, there were bags and bags of broken product and I didn't have the strength to dig deeper to collect unbroken product. Additional support wasn't available so I returned to customer service. They were very polite, they always are, but so disorganized. In the midst of my story and request to get a refund purely out of frustration at this point - the associate was telling one of the staff who had tried help me early in my visit, to go work in 'commercial'. There seems to be a lack of associates yet there were associates that I saw as I walked through the store who were doing nothing, likely one of those a manager. We're talking about a slow, low traffic Wednesday morning and not a busy Saturday.
I don't think my expectations are too high in seeking support. This experience isn't the first time either. In two times prior, I've left the store without purchasing the item because no one knows the flyer item, after I bring it up on my phone, still no one can find it. I then go home, order online and pickup curbside, usually the next day.
Early summer, due to similar experiences with Lowes, I went to Home Depot to purchase my BBQ. There, I felt valued, and from purchase to delivery, the transaction was seamless. That included an associate who asked me if I need help moments after I arrived. I didn't to wait for someone to be repeatedly paged as you often hear in Lowes. Maybe the RONA purchase of Lowes will better the customer experience but for the foreseeable future, I'm going to HD.

No inventory..AGAIN

Went to Lowes after phoning and asking about cedar mulch that was on sale. It said online they had 34 bags. No problem, we have 34 bags. Go there, no mulch. Not a big surprise. Phoned Sunridge, girl went and physically checked and said they had 11 bags, which was what it said online. Crowfoot Lowes never has inventory on sales items. How they stay in business is beyond me.

SCAM! No refund

I purchased light bulbs for my bathroom that wasn't compatible and I returned it through Purolator, with tracking which shows it's been returned to them for 3 weeks now. I have emailed them about my refund which has gone ignored. No refund, no product. They are a scam online. I don't recommend buying from them.

Sojag pergola from Lowes

We bought a Sojag pergola from Lowes, and it came fast, but didn't have the hardware to put it together. After calling Lowes they told us to bring it back after they contacted the vendor who didn't respond, and a week goes by. Lowes told us to return it, all 104 lbs of it. We wanted the pergola so we contacted Shelter Logic ourselves and asked for the hardware, probably one bag with everything in it. (Shelter Logic own Sojag we found out). Shelter Logic offered to send the hardware, stating they would email when it was on it's way, a week later we called back and no one knew what we were talking about, so again they said they would send it out, lacking confidence we also contacted the parts department and requested replacement parts, they promised to send them out. Another week goes by, and we contacted them again with no reply this time, and another week goes by. So a month later we are sitting here with a useless pergola and the option of renting a truck at our expense and recruiting young men to bring it back to Lowes. They want it back in the original packaging which was pretty battered when we got it, I will take back the pergola and what remains of the box and never buy from Lowes, or Shelter Logic again. We could have built one faster and been enjoying it for weeks now.

I recently purchased a lawn mower…

I recently purchased a lawn mower (Craftsman.)
It leaks gas from the carburetor and doesn’t cut the grass
It was on sale $400. Honda motor is the real reason I bought it.
Rona refused to take it back. Stating there is gas in the tank. So it’s a hazard. Yet they sell gas on their shelves.
They gave me the wrong number for craftsman (USA)
Craftsman USA gave me the wrong number for craftsman CA.
Craftsman CA gave me a number for MTD. USA
MTD says take it back to where I purchased the mower.
Everyone passing the buck.
And I’m out $400 plus taxes.
Craftsman and Rona have just lost a loyal customer.
Unreal.

Bad customer service!

Do NOT, I am not kidding, do NOT DEAL with lowes at all. Just ordered a AO Smith hot water tank, When it was delivered the box that it came in was in good shape, but after taking the hot water tank out of the box, there was dents on the base and just above it with fine scratches. Also paint from the tank transfered to inside the box. So the product was packaged wet! So after talking to the manager of lowes Nanaimo and telling him about the lack of quality in the product,he tried to say it was the cardboard box that caused the scratches. So much for customers satisfaction! I will not be dealing with Lowes or Rona after this, and will definitely be telling friends and family about their policies. Spend locally!
