Took over 2 weeks to get to me.
Then too small and to return anything is not easy. Basically you have to send back to HONG KONG!!!

I ordered a dress from this company , but under the name Jessica By Bee, which says it’s in York in the UK. I naively didn’t check trust pilot before I bought it,and now see that it seems to be a scam overseas.

I contacted them via email to cancel the order before it was shipped, and they ignored me offering discount.

I have asked my bank to cancel payment, but it’s been took. The bank informed me that the company have subscribed me to something, that I was unaware of, all payments have been blocked. Also this company may try to take payments under other names, which the bank can block if I notice this happening.

I also had to report to Apple Pay, as this company don’t allow payment via PayPal which would have given me more security, and the refund much sooner.

Still waiting for this company to reply to my email re the refund again.

That will teach me to be more vigilant!

I am not expecting a reply, but a poor quality dress arriving in a few weeks from China!

I can then again raise dispute with my bank.

Do not buy from Jessica By Bee, or anything with a similar name.

Please do not buy from here. I was also taken in by the advertising thinking it was a uk company. I did eventually receive my order but it’s awful. Nothing like the advert. I complained eventually they had what’s supposed to be their resolutions, Team to contact me. They like everyone else offered me 40% off if I kept the item. They couldn’t understand why I didn’t want this so eventually agreed for me to return the item but at my own cost. I have now started a charge back through my bank.

As with most other reviewers, my experience with this fraudulent company has been negative. I too was sucked in by the ‘London Boutique’ and ‘Having a Baby’ garb and bought in good faith. The dress I purchased was shipped from god knows where, Hong Kong apparently, was extremely poor quality, and bore no resemblance to what they advertise on their website. Also, upon requesting a return, received the standard 10, 20, then 30% partial refund routine. I demanded a full refund but was told, I’d have to pay for the return myself, despite them advertising free & easy 30 day returns, which was to a warehouse in the USA, and would involve taxes and custom fees and could take over 30 days and they’d take no responsibility for lost parcels! They do their utmost to deter you from returning the item. Therefore, they are making 70, 80 or 90% profit on shipping out cheap, ‘ made in China’ tat!
I reported them to the Citizens Advice Consumer Service, who was able to check out their website and read the Trust Pilot reviews. Unfortunately, as they are operating overseas and not infact from a boutique in London, they are beyond the jurisdiction of UK consumer law, which I’m sure they are well aware of. However, they did tell me to contact my bank, which I did, speak to the disputes team and ask for a ‘Charge Back.’ They will look into the company, whilst you wait, based on the info you give them, to see if you’re entitled to a refund. I currently have been given a full, temporary refund by the bank who have raised the dispute with their bank. They have 45 days to dispute it. If they do not, then I have my money back. So I would advise all you other unsuspecting victims of this unscrupulous, morally corrupt, scam business, to contact your bank too and ask them for a Charge Back and open a dispute! The more people that raise an issue with their banks the better!
I have learned a valuable lesson the hard way. Don’t believe everything you see and if it seems too good to be true, it probably is!! Read the genuine TrustPilot reviews ( not the fake ones on their website) before parting with your hard earned cash and steer well clear of Made By Jessica!!!!!

Unfortunately I did not read trust pilot before I ordered
two dresses from this company.They said they are having a sale because Jessica is retiring because she is expecting a baby. I waited a long time before the dresses arrived and now I have two huge dresses in very cheap fabric which are unwearable and nothing like the ones on the website . I have emailed the company to inform them I would like to return the dresses for a full refund and I am waiting to hear from them. They appear to be a larger overseas company than the small local business they gave the impression they were and say returning goods can be expensive.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering a dress from this company. The dress is nothing like the colour portrayed on the website, is large and shapeless and made of cheap material. Now I am trying to return it for a refund but am encountering obstacles and difficulty from the company for what should be a straightforward process. I would strongly advise others, DON'T ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

Sadly I ordered in haste and had cause to regret it. Not only was item ordered not as illustrated but wasn't even in material as described. Though return address is London TR14, tracking showed item coming via Heathrow. Looking deeper into their website: orders are shipped from Hong Kong. Not a London business. From the Terms of Service: "Products are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied." In short: what you see may not be what you get - too bad, so sad.

This company appears to be based in London (saying ‘Established in London) but is in Hong Kong which means returns are prohibitively expensive. They say ‘easy returns’ ; they are anything but easy.

The dress I bought was badly designed and in a cheap fabric, not easy to spot when buying because there is no product
description.

When I said they were contravening the 1968 Trades Descriptions Act, they offered me 10,then 20, then 30% refund to try to prevent a complaint.

I purchased two dresses from Made by Jessica because the website presents itself as a London boutique established in 2009, with a personal story about a small independent business based in London.

My experience was very different.

The dresses were shipped from China, not London, and took almost three weeks to arrive. When they finally arrived, the quality was extremely disappointing and did not reflect the images, descriptions, or prices advertised on the website.

When I requested a refund, I was repeatedly offered alternatives instead of a straightforward return and refund process. First I was offered a replacement, then a free replacement, then partial refunds of 10% and 20% if I kept the items. I repeatedly asked for a full refund.

I was also informed that returns are sent to a warehouse in the United States, which was never made clear before purchase.

I have continued to ask for the American return address so I can return the items and obtain a refund, but my requests are now being ignored.

After researching further, I found many reviews from other customers describing very similar experiences with poor-quality products and difficulties obtaining refunds.

In my experience, getting a refund has been unnecessarily difficult, and communication has now stopped altogether.

I feel the website gives the impression that you are purchasing from a genuine London boutique when that was not my experience.

I would not buy from this company again and would strongly encourage potential customers to read independent reviews before ordering.

I have recieved a dress that was nothing like the picture , very poor quality can’t believe I fell for this website. Customer service t try ing to give 10% refund for a dress I would never wear. DO NOT BUY FROM THiS SHOP ! Would have gave no stars

The order took several weeks to arrive and when it did, the size was completely wrong. Having ordered a 2XL, I got something which is possibly a size 14 - far too small for me. I haven’t got the time to go through a returns process so will give it away to someone who is the right size. I shall certainly never buy from this site again.

Material was something like made from. Old 80s shell suit
And sizes. Well they came in small
Not true to size
Wish i read the reviews before I ordered
And trust me there not from the london company
They come all the way from China
So dont expect them for at least a month if not longer

Shame I had to leave one star as this website deserves zero! I wish I had read the reviews before buying. I received the goods that I ordered but they look nothing like in the photos and the quality of the material is extremely poor. The goods on Shein are of higher quality. I've been offered a 10% refund as, apparently, it would be too expensive to return the goods! I hope I can sell them on but don't expect to receive the amount I paid. A lesson learned - read the small print and the reviews.

Once again a victim of a very well excecuted scam website. You are led to believe this is UK Based and UK stock - they issue an Evri cpurier email within 24hrs which promises 48hr delivery... WHEN IT REACHES TH UK FROM HONGKONG!!

The item is nothing like the picture despite feeling well made. I also paid an extra £7.50 for a gift worth £49 (to clear the warehouse of surplus stock) I got a silk scrunchie!

I'll try for a refund but i am not hopeful. Lesson learnt...

Absolutely awful, misleading company. The website shows a pregnant lady looking out into a London street. Therefore, the assumption is that this is a London company. It is not!!!
The dress I received is from China. It is made of a nasty, cheap fabric and the size small is huge! I asked to return it, and was asked to provide measurements and photos, clearly a ploy to make it an ordeal!
I'm just grateful I only ordered 1 item!

Yes I too have been scammed by this company. The advert was a lovely looking dress, advertised with "express delivery" Three weeks later I received a dress similar but definitely not what I ordered and made from material so thin I can see through it. No label in it. Plain packaging. From China. Rubbish.

This was flagged up as a London boutique which it isn't
I have spent £100 on three items that haven't even arrived. ordered on 6th June I believe it's now the 16th. upon looking into this I have become aware that many people are complaining about the quality of the garments coming from China or similar.
When or if I receive my items they will be returned as I was under the impression they were made by Jessica in the UK. Clever marketing but misrepresented.

Website is misleading you to thinking it’s a UK based company. This isn’t. The quality of the dresses I purchased are awful. Cheap and nasty. In my view unwearable. Order took longer as I believe they were shipped from abroad. Dresses are overlocked instead of hemmed. Just garbage. !

I too ordered 3 items from this company, thinking that it was uk based. As soon as I received tracking details from China my heart sank. I immediately emailed them outlining my concerns regarding their deception asked to cancel the order and obtain a refund. I did in fact receive a full refund within the week. Not ideal experience but I did get my money back. My advice is to contract them straight away if you are unhappy about being mislead. Cancel the order as soon as possible and get chat gpt to draft you a strongly worded email!
