Very in tune to the indie experience

Very in tune to the indie experience. I both pitched playlisting and purchased the course. I never expected my band to reach so many people. We have actual fans!

Small artist, great experience.

As an artist marketing my music there are a few things I would offer to others when it comes to Magic Nothing. The first is that they overwhelmingly bleed positivity into the mire that is music marketing for artists. If you don’t follow them on Instagram and need marketing ideas, they are worth checking out. As far as their platform goes, I’ve used multiple playlisting sites before. (Primarily Groover). When it comes to the playlist function Magic Nothing offers, ease of finding what playlists might be a fit was significantly easier. Post my placements the most significant thing I noticed was how the quality of the music surrounding my tunes on streaming platforms has changed. As a smaller artist gaining traction in what my music gets grouped with improved retention and reach. The engagement I saw from the placements I received was higher than with other platforms. (More streams per listener) And I even started to see small amounts of algorithmic movement in my analytics. (On a smaller budget campaign) I think the thing I am most excited about is the thought that is going into the platform itself. You can curate playlists to earn credits to then pitch your own music to other playlists. All in all I am convinced Magic Nothing is dedicated to providing great tools, expertise and services to help the artist find their audience. They are incredibly engaged with their users. Responsive to feedback. Responsive to changes in the industry. And genuinely care about what they are providing artists. I really have nothing but good things to say so far and look forward to what they come up with next.

Thanks so much for this note Andrew!!! We're stoked to hear you've been having a positive experience with us and you're right, we do genuinely care and are working super hard to improve our offerings every day!

One of our goals with the platform is to make it artist-first so artists can invest in themselves and earn tokens to make it sustainable. The people who show up and put in that work get the most value.

magicnothing.xyz . a nothing scam not magic!

the spotify playlisting site magicnothing.xyz that also claims to help artists market their music is a scam. do not fall for their instagram / facebook ads!

they take artists hard earned money and their playlist curators write a few words of a generic review and dont playlist the music and still keep the tokens ( money)

if a song is not selected for a playlist the money / tokens should be refunded. they dont refund and that is why its a scam!

Hi Luuk, Zack here, founder of Magic Nothing.

I'm sorry the experience didn't match your expectations, and I'm sorry it took me too long to see and respond to this. Let me address it directly now.

How tokens work: they pay curators to listen to and consider your track, not for guaranteed placement. This is how every legitimate playlist pitching platform operates, because Spotify's terms don't permit guaranteed placement.

What we do refund: if a curator doesn't review within 72 hours, tokens auto-return. Beyond that, declined submissions aren't refunded because the curator did the work of listening and giving feedback.

That said, 'we should communicate the model more clearly upfront' is fair feedback I'm taking seriously.

I'd like to look at your specific campaign personally, please email zack@magicnothing.com and I'll dig in myself.

P.S. a note for anybody else reading this: I highly recommend curating and promoting your own playlists instead of only pitching to them. This is the most reliable way to build real placement leverage as an artist, and it has LOTS of value for you (it becomes a flexible asset, you can earn tokens to spend on promo/pitching, etc).

I built Magic Nothing specifically to support Artist/Curators doing this and pitching to each other!
