Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service, citing frequent disconnections from the data network and issues with device compatibility. Reviewers consistently found the customer service appalling, describing it as unhelpful, scripted, and difficult to reach. They reported that staff often struggled to understand issues, leading to repetitive explanations and unresolved problems. The pricing was also a point of contention, with some feeling that the low cost reflected the poor support. People frequently mentioned difficulties contacting the company, with reports of calls being cut off, agents hanging up, and a lack of alternative contact methods. Some customers also experienced problems with international services, such as data roaming, iMessage, and FaceTime not working, despite these features being part of their plans.

Myself and my partner both had Lebara

Myself and my partner both had Lebara, be warned. My partner had his number stolen twice. Both times the help line wasn’t helpful and we are still waiting on the company to get back, we haven’t even had an apology. We were abroad at the time and it ruined the whole week of our holiday. Not to mention the scammers being able to steal his identity and spend money by gaining access to his bank accounts. The helpline is terrible and at a stressful time they made it so much harder. Worst phone company I have ever been with.

Do Not Use Lebara If You Want To Travel

I have been with Lebara for a little while now and we have 4 Sims on our account. My wife and I like to travel a lot as we are semi retired and while we are at home we are almost 100% of the time connected to WiFi. When we travel we are mostly connected to WiFi and just a small amount of usage inbetween and we make calls over WiFi. My allowance is 25Gb per month and I use almost nothing at home but on average we use 0.5Gb abroad each time so around 0.2% of allowance. We rarely use calls or texts but sometime our girls call us or text us. I spoke to Lebara (Ajinkya) to explain this but Lebara are not interested. I could understand if we used the majority of our allowance but because we almost use no allowance in the UK and a fraction when we travel they now want to charge us for all incoming and outgoing calls and texts and also for any data we use outside the UK because we “use more abroad than at home”

Of course we do as we use nothing at home and 0.2% when we travel I explained but they have said it doesn’t matter and there is nothing they will do and the charges will apply when we travel. Easy solution for me then as I will move all 4 sims to a different provider.

STOP STEALING DATA FROM CUSTOMERS

Seems lebara is doubling up on taking back the data after they have robbed the customers. If I purchase a top up and then use it to buy a plan for £5 I get 2.5G. However if I use my card online to purchase the same plan I get 5G. Make it make sense. You people are robbing customers so you can have access to their credit card information. Because even if I remove my card after I have made the purchase you people still try to access it the following month without permission. Is Lebara a scam!!! £5 should be 5G across the board irregardless of weather the customer uses a card or a top up pay. Stop stealing from customers!!! Give customers back the data you steal from them each month. Why would I recommend such a scamming network to friends. 😡

Totally unhelpful phone provider

I posted a critical review, following my dreadful experiences with this company. Suddenly, via Trustpilot, they rushed to head off the bad publicity by promising to help. They haven’t contacted me since. I’m abroad and I can’t report a stolen bank card, can’t receive SMS and can’t even call their helpline.

Very bad network

The connection is weak in known places like the A64 no connection there, it uses too much mobile data at a time, runs out very quickly and doesn't offer good prices for only 1GB it is nearly 2 pounds a month.

Update speed test at 10:40 pm 25/5/25…

Update speed test at 10:40 pm 25/5/25 0.37mbps on 5G with no updates in background or any other network traffic please read this 0 stars Internet constant freezing snail downloads ever since new upgraded lines from 5G Vodafone network. Surf the web, watch a video and it downscales to low resolution 360p and blurry, listen to music on YouTube stops constantly buffering, checking emails constantly disconnects from mail server saying offline. Snail download speeds stoping losing your file and have to re download wasting time, money, resources and energy, solution download manager. Signal bars change all the time from 1 to 4 bars sitting in same area. Tested every room in the place and on another phone and PC same issue was working before. Went outside of premises and works but continually freezes. Phone calls cut off and also other recipients say can’t hear you after some time into call. Have to go outside in all weather conditions, heat, rain, cold and night to get reliable reception and only in early hours of the morning when others are asleep. Visiting people in other Sydney suburbs same issue, no service, freezing disconnection. Disappointing service when you need it and should work reliably inside a Unit, town house, granny flat etc. Can’t finish downloading security updates for phone or PC constantly stops, freezing. Tried multiple OS windows, Android, Apple, different settings same issues and even another phone. Borrowed a friends phone same issues. I uploaded a screenshot of time required for a security update which is 1.2GB, the screenshot shows 5 hours to download then freezing needing to search for network connection, option, Lebara, auto and after 3 to 5 mins again as constant freezing connection, ridiculous. Tried different settings from 4G to 5G, allow more data on 5G and it is slower work that one out folks. The bonus data is a joke, you won’t even be able to use or access the standard data reliably in your package. Customer service is virtually non existent waiting 1/2 a hour minimum and have no knowledge or experience to address this issue. Constantly telling you to try the following instructions which do nothing but waste time, money and also causing headaches. The TIO support telcos providers not the users who subscribe. Do not trust the governments they work against everyday people. Don’t waste your money and avoid headaches with this telco as they are the least reliable.

Data were taken that I have not used

I just bought a Lebara pay as you go sim. I just looked at my data usage and it says that I have used x amount of data including from apps that I definitely have not used since I enabled the Lebara sim card. Not sure if I can trust this company .. it is also using my google name without me having given it or agreed to it!! The 2 stars are for customer service where I fairly quickly was put through to an actual person who was helpful with the initial top up. I don't think that I will top up again with Lebara.

If I could give minus stars I would

If I could give minus stars I would. Spoke to some one and they hung up advising can only stay on the call for a small amount of time. Told me it's my fault and that I need to call back in 24h. Asked for a manager and they said they don't have one and then turned around and said he's new and cannot help further and hung up

Pathetic Annoying TV Advert

Cannot stand their TV advert with that skittish woman. Have complained many times about it and they are still showing it. I hope they didn't spend five figures on the writing and production of it.
Doesn't even tell the viewer what the company is about.
So annoying!
