Very dissatisfied once again, data was running out extremely fast so phoned and complained, told them I was going to change my network provider and that I had given a bad review on Trustpilot, got a random phone call off an agent days later asking me what my complaint was and was offered a new deal based on the amount of data that I regularly use and was told “your data will now last you the whole month” asked if my phone call was being recorded and got the person to quote that my “data will last the whole month” ….its not even 3 weeks in and I’ve run out of data again, not only that but was asked if I would remove my bad rating on Trustpilot if they changed my plan to a better one, which I did at the time but only because I was offered what I thought was an amazing deal, turned out to it to be false and I now feel as though they have blackmailed me for the sake of a bad review, changing my network provider tomorrow morning and wouldn’t ever recommend using lebara for that reason
Customer Service Worse than Useless
Switched to Lebara from Sky and seemed to go ok - had temporary number for 3 days but after my old number was supposed to be reinstated, calls were ok but texts were still appearing as coming from the temporary number for some contacts, but not for others!
I rang Lebara and spoke to a guy (in India, I think - he had a heavy accent so I wasn't convinced he properly understood the problem) who said it was an RCS issue and talked me through how to switch RCS OFF on my phone, saying it wasn't necessary and just to use SMS instead! I noticed that the RCS on/off menu page showed the Lebara number as my temporary one, which I reckoned was the route cause of the problem.
Annoyed that I was missing the advantages of RCS, I rang Lebara again and spoke to another guy (in India, I think - same language barrier issues) hoping to get a better result, but he just said RCS wasn't supported by Lebara - which is incorrect!
Frustrated I started googling, which led me to a thread on Reddit (titled "Fix for RCS chat not setting up") suggesting an RCS issue and showing a sequence of steps to reset various aspects, including remove SIM, clear caches, reboot, reinstall message app etc. - it didn't seem to work at first and I no longer even had the option to switch RCS on/off but after leaving my phone for an hour or so (for things I don't understand to maybe happen at the network end of the process, I think) it all worked! The RCS option is now back (if I did want to switch it off/on) and importantly, it shows in that part of the menu my 'normal' number rather than the temporary one that was showing when I first rang Lebara to try and resolve.
So, Lebara are absolute rubbish. They were talking cr*p. It's a cheap contract, recommended by Martin Lewis, but customer service knowledge about their own product and phone network technologies is absolute zero!
Complete joke
Spent 10 days trying to speak to someone regarding my phone plan as it wasn't suiting my needs. The ppl they employ are obviously severely mental challenged as they did not understand my email that stated I need a new plan as this one isn't working for me to get an email back telling me i can call 42 other countries which wasnt even the issue. I was at my wits end when I finally got through and told them this plan didn't work for me and want to cancel, they didn't even ask what the problem was just cancelled the monthly renewal.
LEBARA STOLE £25 FROM CUSTOMERS ACCOUNT
i bought a £25 plan and it helped itself to my account and took out two £25 plans sent details to lebara custmor care team and nothing will have to take the theft to the bank i never even got a phone call back my advice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to Lebara after leaving three. I ordered 2 sims. 1 for work and 1 for personal phone. The speed of the internet was shocking. 5 mbps. I have cancelled them both and gone to Smarty who use the three network. My download speed is now 180mbps.

Really poor customer service and I do get the feeling I'm being fobbed off by Lebara, because I genuinely am! I've been chasing a gift card since last June which was via MSE. I've contacted Lebara via live-chat, telephone, email and letter. I've still not received a reply, or the gift card. I did see a few replies on here from John-Paul Patten from Lebara, advising disgruntled customers to contact him. I did that last week but still no reply.....next stop, OFCOM.
Companies shouldn't advertise gift cards as incentives if they're not going to honour them.

Very poor customer service and unable to live up to promises
Was told I would be getting free mobile access as they owed me money on my sons account. Just had an email telling me that the normal amount will be deducted from my account. This is terrible customer service. I have been fighting with them for over 6 months to get the right amount deducted from my account. Can not believe they can not live up to their own promises. So sad

Called and online chat multiple times but none of the 3 or 4 customer service reps (probably 1st line support) knew anything about 4G (VoLTE) Calling.
My phone Samsung A55 5G has both WiFi calling and 4G Calling available as per the Vodafone website, but Lebara haven't enabled 4G Calling on my sim. Why it is not enabled by default I don't know, but Lebara online help suggests that they have to activate the service on the sim/line !!!!
In the end all they could do was raise a complaint reference CAS-2113907-W5P6Q7 to their higher technical support team as the rep put it. From past experience, I do not hold out any hope they will resolve this.
I know my phone does work as both functions are enabled on the 2nd sim in the phone from O2.
21/01/2025 - yet another problem with Lebara Customer services.
They ported my old number from O2 to Lebara this morning and I have been left with nobody being able to call me. Callers are being told to leave a voicemail with O2 as user is not available.
I cannot get anybody at Lebara to resolve the issue.
For me it's the best provider

What truly awful company no response and my reviews taken down. Despite numerous emails they don't respond. I shall where possible leave negative reviews. Their referral system does not work at all . I have since my friend signed in September 2024 provided proof of service. This in my mind is a scam. I wish I could leave them zero stars.

Had a deal for 6 months at £1.20 then full price after that.
Messed up my payment the first month then tried to charge me full price the next month.
When I rang to try and sort it out the guy I spoke to was rude,unhelpful and then hung up on me and cancelled my sim.

For the second time, Lebara have taken payment for a cancelled sim, despite numerous chats...of which I have transcripts.. They failed to reply to complaints emails. These guys are underhanded and dishonest. The TV ad is correct, they are horrendous when you leave them.

I have used Lebara for 3 years and have found them excellent in most respects. They are a little slow in paying commissions. That apart they have been excellent. Humans actually answer the phone promptly.
