Good service, great team. Arrived on time. just one hiccup

Lee and Simon arrival on time after a long journey and they work very hard to get the very heavy hot tub in place and positioned it correctly
However, the vehicle they came in, had a Hydrolic Crane attached, which they used to lower the hot tub to the ground. That piece of equipment sprung a hydraulic leak which we all saw while the hot tub was being lowered, it transpired the fluid was sprayed over the cover, the ground and unfortunately onto my new puffa jacket when I helped push the hot tube into position.
Apart from that incident the move went well.

We moved house and needed to take our…

We moved house and needed to take our hot tub with us so after speaking to a few different companies we chose to use Move Your Spa. Emily in the office was very helpful and informative, made me feel we had made the right choice to use this company. On the day my husband dealt with the men that came to move our hot tub he said they were very friendly and experienced. Would definitely recommend this company.

Brilliant customer service friendly…

Brilliant customer service friendly staff, so quick and easy rang up on the Thursday because the removals people let us down with the hot tub and the reply was great they came and moved it the next day with no hesitation. Will recommend to anybody.

Totally satisfied

I was not able to be another site on the day but had been in communication with the team. The spa was moved on time and placed perfectly at the new location and worked perfectly (a relief as it’s just had a repair and service and I did wonder if it might cause any issues but not at all) the move also included crossing a neighbours property with their consent and all went smoothly.

Pretty much to plan.

All went to plan, except that the team doing the job said that they had not seen the video for the receiving end. This was something that was emphatically demanded when booking. So a bit of a disconnect there. But they coped, and all was well.

First class service.

The 2 guys that came, wrapped the hot tub adequately and moved it with care, as we were not ready to have the hot tub sited at our new home, they placed it securely where we asked.

Simon and Scott were excellent. They were polite, professional, and hardworking, and they genuinely deserve 5 stars.

Unfortunately, the company itself was a complete shambles. Extra VAT charges were suddenly introduced without being made clear upfront, despite an all-inclusive price being agreed. Being told afterwards to “read the small print in the terms and conditions” is not an acceptable excuse for poor transparency.

Getting an invoice was unnecessarily difficult. I was told I had to pay first and only then would I receive an invoice, which is not how professional businesses operate. I requested a secure payment link instead of paying over the phone, yet this was not prepared in advance. As a result, I was left standing around for over 30 minutes, unable to leave, and ended up missing a scheduled meeting due to their incompetence and lack of organisation.

What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into a stressful and frustrating experience. The pressure to pay immediately, the refusal to provide proper documentation upfront, and the last-minute VAT demand demonstrate extremely poor customer service and internal processes.

Outstanding on-site staff, but extremely poor management and administration. I would not use this company again and would not recommend them.

We’re genuinely sorry the payment and admin side left you frustrated, especially to the point you missed a meeting.

On the VAT point, we want to be crystal clear. We’re not “introducing VAT charges suddenly” after an all-inclusive price is agreed. From what we can see on our side, the total you were charged and paid matches the quoted all-inclusive figure shown in the quotation and booking confirmation. However, we accept your broader point about transparency, if anything feels like a surprise on the day, then we haven’t made things clear enough so we’ll take a look at our communications to see where we can improve.

On invoices, we don’t issue invoices prior to receiving payment and are not required by law to do so. However, we will provide them promptly after payment is received, on request by the customer. The quotation and booking confirmation emails also outline the total payable, payments made, the remaining balance, and the payment terms, so the full financial detail is provided upfront even if a formal invoice is issued after settlement.

On the payment method, we do need to clarify this point. Our preferred method for final balances is cash as clearly stated in the quotation and booking confirmation emails. Cash is preferred for us as there are no payment fees (which a card payment would incur for us, forcing us to increase our prices to reflect these).

A payment link is not our default option. In this case, because the preferred payment method wasn’t ready at completion a payment link had to be arranged on the spot. The office team member that would create this link was on the phone to another customer. These factors contributed to your delay.

We do need to say we dispute parts of the review, but we also recognise that disagreement doesn’t change how the experience felt from your side. We’ll take this feedback and tighten up how we handle payment method requests during booking, so expectations are clearer and the end of the job runs smoothly.
