Bought a DXRacer seat from these vendors, after a year the leather on the seat started to flake. Further, the hardware on the armrests started to bend (I'm a 160lb male). Called NeedforSeat as the DX... See more

The took the money out of my account and after 5 days of no word I emailed them and they said there was a problem with my card. Scam artists.
Their chairs are fine until the fake…
Their chairs are fine until the fake leather begins to fall apart and they refuse to do anything about it. Their chairs are expensive and, in hindsight, definitely not worth the price.
I purchased 2 chairs from them in 2015…
I purchased 2 chairs from them in 2015 for a total of around $800. One has been the best chair I ever had, the other, although comfortable to the extreme, has had a lot of problems and then, just a few days ago (11/27/21) the problem chair's solid metal support arm literally snapped in half causing me to fall out of the chair and hurt myself! The company refused to fix the chair without me paying. I understand its past the two year warranty, but given the circumstances they should have been more accomodating. Both chairs have had the outer layer of the pleather wear out and the arm rests start to fall apart too. However the memory foam cushioning is still just as good as the day I bought the chairs. Perhaps surviving 6 years+ is good considering we use the chairs on a daily basis, but I still feel one snapping in half is not acceptable under any circumstances, so this company gets 2 stars.
Its a very nice chair BUT not that durable
Its a very nice chair, ive liked it a lot, but here 3 years after i bought it, the seat pleather has started cumbling a falling off, as has one of the handguards started getting dents from my elbow and then crumbling off,
it still feels tight from when i put it together, so props for the mechanical side of things, but thier materials used just isnt durable enough..
The Company Owns Its Mistakes and Their Fallout
Curious why I gave this company 5 stars with a title like I did?
I had a shipping mixup due to one digit being off in the second to last place of the order number. I get it; we're all human. I've been there before; mistakes are a part of doing business. I reached out and let them know; they gave me a discount and a shipping label. It happens.
Except it snowballed from there when FedEx -insert expletive- things up. I reached out, in a VERY upset state mind you, and they turned what could have been an extremely poor customer experience around. I never did get the original chair, but Need for Seat made things right by my reckoning. God-willing, FedEx won't cause any more issues, but if they do, I can honestly say I trust the company to work with me. Side benefit, the guy I got mixed up with is pretty cool and we've since become friends.
Shout out to Connor for working with me throughout the whole process.

I've had my seat for over two years and it's amazing. Still holding up like it's new. It's functionality is superior to any office chair I've tried. It's a must have for anyone who is a gamer.
Easily the best purchase I’ve made
I ordered a Maxnomic Dominator in black/red about 5 years ago. I’m 240lbs and it still looks exactly like the day I ordered it. Thousands of hours of gaming and it still looks brand new. I even spent the extra $ to get it embroidered with my tag. I’ve owned several gaming chairs that were less expensive, and holy crap do you get what you pay for. When talking about gaming rigs, I tell people the best 440 I ever spent on my setup was for my maxnomic dominator chair. I imagine I’ll die or be unable to game before this chair breaks down. I don’t even fit the weight specifications for it, and yet it endures. Money well spent.
Great tall chair for a tall guy
Great tall chair for a tall guy. Might be a little expensive but as a guy with big shoes you pay more for quality that lasts. that being said the armrest on my Maxnomic broke after only about a year. went to the need for seat website and looked up the warranty info, two years is pretty good and more than enough time to shakeout whatever problems come along. took a couple of pictures and emailed them with my receipt to the email provided and got a response asking for a shipping address in less than a hour. the next day i had a tracking number and when it gets here i will replace the broken parts all covered under warranty.
Fantastic all around
I recently purchased a Dominator, and I am thrilled by the purchase experience, the delivery and the product. First off, the website is extremely simple to navigate and is rich in information. Hey, folks here they even tell you right up front what is in stock and what you may need to wait on a bit and for how long. Once I ordered, my in stock product arrived within days. The chair was neatly and securely bundled in a solid box, accessories came in a "box within the box", and the instructions were very clear (color photos of each step!). While there a small amount of wrangling involved, assembly was quite simple. Now, I sit in my high quality chair - no squeaking, no discomfort, and I have good posture. Between work and gaming I spend 6 hours a day in a chair, and this one is the real deal! Oh, I did tons of research on chairs, and while I also looked at Silent Labs and Noble, I liked the quality-price-direct-from-Ohio Maxnomic value proposition....I am happy.
Disappointing "Policy"
I was extremely interested in the SMITE Chair that is coming up and I waited anxiously for two months for it. I literally was checking my email every day for an update.
Last Friday (07/31) I received a phone call letting me know that the chair was ready to ship, but they flat out refused to do the embroidery I requested. My In-Game Smite name is has the word "Hoe" in it, which is what I wanted etched in - but for pete's sake it's about a garden tool. I'll admit I find it amusing when people get confused but its all in good fun and I get laughs out of it.
The person calling me said it was against the "policy". I didn't see a policy listed when purchasing this product on the website. In addition, it would have been nice if they would have reached out to me at least the first week of purchase so I would not have built up all this anticipation on the end product.
So I have to ponder about this "policy" - is everyone so worried about getting offended about everything now? Is it so bad they aren't able to accommodate a chair request that I would use privately at my home? Don't get me wrong, I would never support something to be force on anyone to do something they don't want to do.....but if it's just based off of people's interpretation on a play of words I just think that's pretty weak.
And believe me, I've seen much worse In-Game names than mine. I think if you are reading this you've probably seen your share of much much more vulgar names as well.
Just a truly disappointing experience over something so small in the scale of things.
Horrible customer service. Don't expect things to be resolved if you have an issur
I received a defective part and needed things replaced. My defective tilt mechanism would not separate from the piston they gave me after having beaten on it with a rubber malet for an extensive period of time. They expected me to buy a whole new bottom end when it's clear that this is their fault. Taylor their customer service manager would not even listen to me when I tried speaking to her and hung up on me constantly. I am so disappointed cause this is my second chair I'm buying with them and spent over 700 dollars for this chair and their little seat quake system which also has defects I couldn't even explain to her cause she wouldn't listen to me. Please stay away from this company. There's other players in this market and need for seat does not deserve your business. Choose literally anyone else.

Would recommend.
Bought a chair and all my questions answered on the spot. No delays. Was helped by a nice gentleman named Blaine.
Poor customer service
Don’t count on any support from the company. I bought one, reported a problem and have NOT had any help. I have called them, emailed them, left messages with full details on the problems I am having – nothing… not a single response.
Don’t believe that you can return it if not satisfied. Don’t believe that you can get help resolving issues…. all lies. That has been my experience.
My advice – don’t get one.

I used NeedforSEAT for a bulk order of their great Maxnomic gaming chairs for our office redo, good selection and customer service was on point through the entire process. I have a complicated purchase order process at my university and even with that extra layer this order for our entire office went smoothly. I would definitely order again, and will continue to tell everyone they need to convert from their boring uncomfortable office chairs to incredibly comfortable, fun, and customizable gaming chairs!

Complete Satisfaction, don't believe the negativity
Don't believe the 1 star reviews.
(I love the people that are writing 1 star reviews are obviously troll accounts because there isn't any trace of an order by them)
Everything from the customer service, to the quality, to the handling of a special request everything was done professionally. Chair arrived right on time, got a custom embroidery, and everything fit snug into place. Huge shout out to Blaine in the embroidery department for hooking up the green lettering to match the alien green seat accents. Also huge shout out to Taylor for being a very respectful customer service rep. I've worked in online customer service rep positions before and I was treated exactly the same way I would treat others. The chairs are pricey but you will pay for what you get. Keep buying cheap knockoffs and the only thing you're going to be doing in a short time is getting another. I can tell that this chair will be staying with me for a long time. Thanks again everybody!
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My fiance had been lusting after one of their chairs for 5 years but held off because it was expensive, so I wanted to surprise him with it for his birthday. I should have known they were going to be super difficult to deal with because another friend of ours had a bad experience with them as well, but I thought it was just a one-off and we couldn't have possibly been that unlike the hundreds of "5 star reviews" listed on here. Nope, the service really is that awful.
We ordered on Black Friday, which we understand and completely acknowledge is a busy time of year. The product was picked up on Monday and I received an update email from Fedex saying the item was picked up, with an estimated delivery date of Wednesday. Since it was such a large purchase, I checked the tracking every day and it constantly showed delivery for Wednesday by 5PM. My fiance was really excited about finally getting the chair so he took the day off work on Wednesday to wait for the chair. It never came.
On Thursday morning, I checked tracking again and it had been updated to show delivery by 5PM Thursday. I called Fedex at 10:55AM asking if it would be arriving that day, and they said yes, the item was being loaded on the truck as we speak and it will be delivered that day for sure, so I stayed home that day to wait for the delivery. There was no delivery that day either. I called them at 5:15PM asking for an update and they said the item was never loaded on the delivery truck and just sat in the warehouse all day. I asked why, he said he didn't know and would to investigate. After I hung up the phone with him, at around 5:20PM, I requested a pick-up at the Fedex location instead because there is no way we could stay home for a third day for a delivery that may or may not arrive.
In the meantime, I contacted NEEDforSeat customer service via live chat and I asked about this delay. She said she will contact Fedex to ask. I told her that I am aware of a Fedex policy where if a product is not delivered by the standard delivery date, you are entitled to a shipping refund, but since I was not the one who paid Fedex directly (I paid Needforseat and the company paid Fedex), Needforseat would be the ones who'd have to request this refund from Fedex. We stayed home both days based on Fedex's "delivery guarantee" for a product that was never delivered.
Needforseat customer service absolutely abolished any responsibility over this. She first said that the Fedex delivery date had been updated to Thursday when the item was picked up on Monday (not true, I have screenshots and an email from Fedex saying the delivery date was Wednesday), then said Fedex had it out for delivery by 9PM on Thursday but I requested a pickup at 7PM which is why it wasn't delivered (also not true because the delivery deadline was 5PM and the Fedex guy told me himself the item was never loaded on the truck so how would it magically get delivered). She said based on these "facts," there was no delay.
I pointed out all of these inconsistencies with her, but she didn't address them and said that I made my own choice to wait for a delivery based on an estimated ETA so it was basically my fault. I'm not sure if she is aware how tracking works but when the Fedex site says "Delivery by 5PM on X date," it means you can expect it to arrive by that time on that date.
I understand that tracking is updated periodically but I checked it every day, including the morning of and the afternoon of the expected delivery and it was never updated to show anything other than Wednesday by 5PM, until it wasn't delivered and on Thursday, the tracking updated to show delivery by 5PM Thursday.
She reiterated there was nothing she could do and I had two options, either just pick up the item and act like nothing happened, or return it and then have to pay a 20% restocking fee to cover the loss and the cost of return shipping. There is no way she would refund the cost of shipping (even though the refund in shipping would actually be done by fedex... who knows, maybe she did request fedex refund their shipping but she’s refusing to refund us).
I do 90% of my shopping online, and I’ve never had an issue like this one where the company refuses to help or take responsibility for an order. We ended up having to ask a friend to borrow their car to go pick up this order because the package was so large it wouldn’t fit in our small car. It was a total inconvenience on our part, especially after paying $100 for shipping. I don’t recommend buying from this company. Better to spend your money elsewhere at a company that actually knows the concept of accountability and customer service.

Ordered a Maxnomic chair about 6 months ago and the chair has been great, although the premium arm rest became discolored and slightly faded after a little while Maxnomic offered to replace it for me as well as replacing it a second time because the first one came damaged from shipping. Good customer service left me a happy and satisfied customer. Dmitri and Taylor were both a big help.
