Bought a DXRacer seat from these vendors, after a year the leather on the seat started to flake. Further, the hardware on the armrests started to bend (I'm a 160lb male). Called NeedforSeat as the DX... See more

Great chair. Adjustable in multiple dimensions. Sturdy build, heavy materials. Only complaint is that my butt often gets sweaty in the leather seat. I guess that's what I get for buying leather. Howev... See more

These seats are amazingly comfortable

These seats are amazingly comfortable! 10/10 would buy again! Easy assembly as well and the extra pillows make this a no brainer purchase if you are looking for a chair that is super solid construction and extremely comfortable.

Maxnomic Dominator Black

I think the chair is really what you pay for, high build quality, only problems were caused by me accidentally stripping a screw for the cover on one of the sides but that isnt near the companies fault. Easy to take apart and transport or clean and easy to put back together no manual needed after the first time, its really a straight forward chair nothing to it.

Great seat

Great seat. Looks awesome. Deducted one star because it squeaks even after applying oil.

Customer service told me they would send me a replacement part so I'm still a fan.

Good chair after hitches, Bad Quality Control as delivered.

I ordered two chairs from Need for seat. Twin Maxnomic office comfort seats, one blue, one orange. Both seats were the same model otherwise. One arrived on the day that was anticipated, the second arrived two days later. The first one went together with a handful of small hitches. Four washers were missing, I bought a few extra at a local HW store to prevent damage to the frame and armrest mounting positions. The seat post, when installed, was not perfectly vertical. This may have been some dirt or extra paint flecks, so I pressed the gas cylinder back out, cleaned the outside of the cylinder and the bore into the 5 point base. I then remounted the cylinder into the base. Lo and behold, no change. This indicated to me a QC issue for the dimensions of the base's bore. The rest of the first chair went together smoothly until the time came for the plastic plates that cover the armature that controls the back of the chair. The mounting screws provided were a set of wood screws that didn't match the thread pitch bored into the steel armature that was bolted to the sides of the chair's backrest. Back out to the hardware store to find a set of screws that were reasonable. The rest of the assembly of the first was fine.
Cue the delivery and assembly of the second chair. The base went together without a hitch, No washers seemed to be missing. The two plastic cover plate screws were the same type as before. I acquired replacements. The tilt and control section mounted to the bottom of the chair fine and well. Time came to mount the backrest of the chair to the armature brackets and seat. I inspect the armature, to find two different (unmatched) arms. I think to myself that's a little strange. I attempt to mount the back of the chair, only to find that the mounting holes in the armature are definitely at different heights on either side. I grumble and notice that the unusual part ( the one that matched none of the other three, having seen the parts from the other chair. ) has a slot for one screw and a fixed hole for the other. I mount the back with three screws, as to avoid modifying the parts. I then attempted to put the plastic cover plates on, and find that one doesn't fit due to the unusual bracket. I grumble because that makes five QC issues as delivered.

From there I checked the website for info about RMA parts, getting ready to RMA the base and cylinder for the orange chair, only to discover, that after having sat on it once, it became impossible to press the cylinder back out of the base. As a result there was no easy avenue for packaging the base into a box to RMA the base, and I went out of my own way to find other solutions to my problem. I eventually shimmed the seat's tilt bracket from the chair seat with a couple of washers on one side to level the seat.

For a 4.5x more expensive product than the piece of worn down office max equipment that it replaced( which went together with no issues, was just worn down after 6 years) I expected the same level or higher of QC in both packaging and parts only to be disappointed by poor Quality Control. I'd give this company and experience 1.5 stars if I could.

Very comfortable chair

Very comfortable chair. I'm 6'6" ex-athlete and I have a previous back injury where I broke my L3 vertebrae. This chair helps make sitting long periods not as problematic.

No Problems

I used Need for seat to order my Maxnomic office comfort chair and I was completely satisfied with my purchasing experience. The website was easy to navigate and full of helpful information and my product arrived within the expected shipping date with no damages.

I really like your product

I really like your product, one small issue. The plastic covers that go over the bracket that holds the top cushion to the rest of the seat were burred/stripped and the screw wouldn't thread. I had to use a self-threading bolt to hold the covers on.

In the future, do you plan on offering custom embroidering? If I were to do it over, since I am a streamer, I would have loved to have the option for my logo to be sewn into the chair.

Cheap quality

Base broke, the metal just snapped in half. Supposedly supports over 300 pounds, I'm 180 pounds, i regret spending 500 bucks on a crappy chair.

Was a month past warranty, they wouldn't do anything to help me.

Hello Manny,
We do have replacement bases sold on our site for people out of warranty. The two main causes of base damage is weight limits, as you said is not your case, and using 3rd party wheels. Our bases are tailor made to our wheel measurements. Using other wheels can cause weak points that lead to cracking. Please ensure this is not your case.

Replacement after horrid replacement

I would not do buissnes with NFS ever again, the seat I got was almost 600 for their Maxnomix office pro classic and I originally recived a chair with terrible stitching, after sending a replacement back it wast worse. To make it even worse the armrests never lined up in the end they wanted me to return the chair after I had thrown away my old chair so that was not an option for me, after multiple emails and multiple replacements the issues was never solved I was stuck with a 600 dollar chair with no armrests because the person reading my emails was convinced that the armrests were fine and it was the seat bottom or the seat back never the armrest, 3 months in after I kept using the chair with no armrests the strut failed to work this chair is rated for pelele who are about 180 lb I weigh 125 lb and the strut failed. Over all horrible company to do buissnes with

I purchased the office comfort chair …

I purchased the office comfort chair from NeedforSeat, This chair is very, very comfortable. It's so adjustable that I can use it like a normal chair or lower the back completely flat and take a nap. Even more importantly, the customer service is nothing short of extraordinary. At first I hesitated to spend so much money; these high quality chairs are not cheap. Customer service is absolutely critical when making such a hefty investment and I put that service to the test. When I first received my chair, the knob that adjusts the lumbar area was slightly bent. I made a brief video of the issue and e-mailed the company. They immediately sent me a brand new backrest. Everything woks flawlessly. I am also very confident that if I experience any more problems, NeedforSeat will be there to assist. If you purchase anything from this company, their excellent customer service is authentic. I highly recommend both the company and the chair!

One piece of advice I have for future customers is to pay close attention to the height requirements. Different models are designed for people within a certain height range. Make sure you are within this range. They have models for people of almost any height and weight.

Nicer to look at then sit in.

Nice design but this chair is nicer to look at than it is it sit in. I immediately returned mine because it's simply not comfortable at all for a $400 chair.

Been using this chair for almost 2 …

Been using this chair for almost 2 years. It's amazing. Working from home, my back doesn't hurt, also great for long gaming sessions. If this thing ever breaks (not likely so far...) 100% buying another one.
