Maria is a very friendly and knowledgeable optometrist and I would not go anywhere else!
Nicholson has a wonderful range of frames to choose from and left me spoilt for choice! The staff at the front desk are so friendly and helpful too.

The best in-depth eye examination ever!
I had barely sat down when Clare correctly diagnosed a problem with my eyes. What followed was an in depth examination of my eyes using top of the range German Heidelberg equipment. Clare patiently explained every test result and wrote down salient points for me to study later.
This was a very thorough, in depth investigation and Clare has referred me for further treatment at the eye hospital.

The Team at Nicholson Eyecare are very efficient, kind, polite and caring. There is a wide range of frames to choose from and the staff are not pushy, and offer various options regarding new frames or keeping original ones to fit new lenses into. We have returned to them on many occasions for our annual check ups and due to their care my eye condition was discovered and treated by the hospital, following a referral onwards. I will always recommend Nicholson Eyecare for their service and care. Thank you

Pleasant and informative experience
I have been to several opticians in the last year and this experience was very different. The welcome was very friendly and the consultation very professional with very up to date equipment. There was no rush and everything was explained very thoroughly with some useful feedback.

Great service in our village
Great service. Very thorough examination and prompt delivery of glasses after selection of frames. I also joined the Eyeplan insurance option which provided a worthwhile saving in my case.
Not the cheapest, but as always, cheapest does not give you the best.
A valued local business at the centre of our village community.

First rate
This was my first visit to Nicholson Eyecare, having previously used corporate opticians through work schemes.
What a breath of fresh air! Clare and Holly could not have been more helpful. They were more interested in getting the prescription right than selling me a new pair of specs. I have greatly impaired vision in one eye and Clare took time to understand the condition and factor that in when testing. Given that my eyesight had not deteriorated significantly the recommendation was to stick with my current glasses.
I would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone.
