The rental experience with Nizacars was truly awful and highly unpleasant. The staff/employees who works in CONNEXCARS S.L. AEROPUERTO DE BARCELONA, C/ Alta Ribagorça nº 20, 08820 El Prat del Llobregat (Barcelona), CIF: B67071951 they have been extraordinarily disrespectful and unkind: To start with, Nizacars staff did not honor my reservation for the vehicle I had booked. During the phone calls, previously of my reservation (26Jun2026 and 27Jun2026), they have been rude and absolutely not helpful, after contract signed, it took me 30 minutes to find the car, without shadow under 40°C in Barcelona airport. I absolutely would not endorse your organization to anyone or any entity that needs a car rented from Barcelona airport.
I deeply regret selecting Nizacars in Barcelona for renting my vehicle.
Best regards,
Josep Bosch Olivera

After almost 2 years, we tried NIZA Cars Malaga again.
Price was interesting, so booked and had to X the box with 'I have read and accept the general contracting conditions.' without actually reading all the 23 pages...
We arrive at the office at 22:50 and we need to pay € 40 for 'late collection' - which evidently is written on page 5 of a 23 pages document.
Under protest we paid (the amount being almost 50% of the complete rental fee!!!), since we had no desire to find an alternative at that time of day.
We sent a mail complaint, but no reaction of NIZA.
Be careful to rent with NIZA, as they do not take EUROPEAN RULES seriously (if you need to pay a fee, this should be clearly advertised: Article 6(1)(e) of the European Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU)
Choose wisely - NIZA = NOT RECOMMENDED

I am writing this review to analyze the Niza Cars service by separating three fundamental aspects: your commercial partnerships, your logistical/corporate management, and the outstanding value of your human staff.
Your commercial partners are destroying your brand image:
First and foremost, I find it unacceptable that a company like Niza Cars relies on brokers like You Spain. This intermediary operates using practices that, in my view, are completely illegal: they sold and charged me for a car pick-up at 00:30 AM, even though your office closes at 1:00 AM, leaving me stranded at the airport. Furthermore, they hide covert deposits. Relying on partners who use these fraudulent "dark patterns" to extort money irreparably damages your own company's reputation and brand image, making you look complicit in a severe disservice.
What requires urgent intervention (Logistics and Policies):
The physical arrival experience at Barcelona airport is disorganized. At Pavilion G, there is a total lack of signage for shuttles. Working in User Experience for nearly twenty years, I can state that the physical wayfinding is non-existent, leaving customers completely stranded in the dark, the only information afr frammentedly provided via Email, and the main info are not highlited.
Added to this are completely non-transparent deposit policies: imposing a €1,600 hold on a credit card unless the premium package is purchased corners the consumer. If you require a €1,600 block, you must communicate this in advance during the booking phase with a highly visible alert, as clear and large as your Call to Action ("Book Now"). This issue re-emerged just yesterday when, upon requesting a rental extension, the system demanded yet another hold of funds.
Absolute credit where it's due (The Staff):
The only reason I am not giving 1 star is solely due to the extraordinary individuals working for you, who constantly compensate for these massive structural flaws.
A special commendation goes to Valeria at the reception desk: she handled my arrival (made disastrous by the scams of your partner You Spain) with empathy and professionalism, fully resolving the issue. Alongside her, I sincerely thank the shuttle driver who helped me with immense kindness. Finally, thanks to another member of your staff who yesterday successfully resolved the absurd bureaucratic complications regarding the credit card hold for my rental extension.
Conclusion:
Your employees are an invaluable asset. However, management must cut ties with dishonest brokers who drag your name through the mud, invest in signage, and make interfaces and deposits fully transparent.

If you don’t believe this review, take a look at the photo I took at the rental desk showing the cost breakdown the employee presented to me. You can judge for yourself how the charges were calculated.
I had already booked and paid for a car for 10 days. When I arrived to collect it, I was offered an upgrade for an additional €250. Only afterwards did it become clear that the calculation did not simply include the upgrade fee. Instead, the full rental amount was added again, without clearly crediting the amount I had already paid. This was never explained to me in advance and, in my opinion, was a misleading way of selling.
Afterwards, I compared prices and found that I would have paid less with almost every other rental company at the airport.
Still in doubt? Read the company’s responses to other negative reviews below. (Please note: some of the extremely positive reviews may not be genuine, especially when they include comparisons with Hertz or other rental companies. That is my personal impression.) To me, those responses only reinforce the impression I got from my own experience. Unfortunately, my experience does not appear to be an isolated case.
Read Nizacars’ direct response below:
Good Afternoon,
First at all thank you for using our services
We inform you that on arrival you paid for a upgrade – 400 € plus the star insurance 250 €.
The amount already paid for the car when you pay for a upgrade is not refundable
Please find attached final invoice for the total amount paid.
We are sorry if any misunderstood, take note that the amount paid for the upgrade is not the rate for the car.
Kind Regards
Commercial Department

305,79 + 206,61 + 330,58 = 842,98 + vat: 177,03 = 1020,01 euro !!!!!! for 10 days car rent in Malaga airport!
UPDATE: I honestly don’t understand who you think you’re fooling. You ignore messages and questions completely, yet you suddenly find the time to respond to reviews on Trustpilot. That only makes you look even less credible.
I’m glad Trustpilot exists and that, at least for now, you can’t influence what people share there.

First had concerns due to first time renting, but starting with prompt & convenient shuttle from airport till polite approach of Blanca at the office everything was very client oriented and smooth. Car was brand new. Highly recommended!

Hard to find the location, next time (if it will be next time) will be easier. No one answers the phone, not very service minded lady in front that looks like she do not want to work there. The car was ok.

Overall, the rental experience was good, but there are a few important issues that should be improved.
First, the instructions on how to reach the rental office are not clear enough. They should explicitly state that you need to wait for the shuttle bus with the company’s name on it. The shuttle runs every few minutes (up to about 20 minutes), so it may not be at the stop when you arrive.
Second, the instructions for returning the car are completely outdated. They tell customers to go to the airport shuttle bus stop instead of returning the vehicle directly to the rental office. This is confusing and should be corrected.
Third, the security deposit is unreasonably high, and the company only accepts credit cards. I had to increase my credit card limit just to rent the car. The only alternative is to pay a non-refundable €320 fee, which is not a reasonable option.
Finally, all of these important practical details should be included in a short email sent immediately after booking. Most people do not read lengthy terms and conditions, so essential information should be communicated clearly and directly.

You need to very careful when you buy the insurance at their office!!! At the time of vehicle collection on 27 May 2026,the representative sold me the NIZA Prime Cover package as part of the "Full Coverage" offer for 280,00 EUR. I was explicitly informed that this package included:
- Full insurance coverage with zero excess (0 EUR franchise)
- Unlimited kilometres
- A second/additional driver at no extra cost
- A vehicle upgrade to a higher category than originally booked
POLICY DOCUMENT NEVER received. at the and they charged me 97,28 €
THEY DON'T REPLY COMPLAINT EMAILS

(Don't hesitate to read other reviews some are funny too)
Where do I even start.... The price you'll find online is a joke. You need to add an insurance that ends up costing more than the car rental itself...
If you try to decline the insurance, they pressure you with a €4700 deposit requirement. And just to seal the deal, the advisor casually mentions that without insurance, a minor scratch will cost you €560. Funny how "optional" insurance suddenly feels mandatory when you're being threatened with those numbers....
The return process is where it gets truly absurd. We waited a very long time at the agency (long enough to nearly miss our flight), only for someone to walk up, take the keys, and disappear : no check-out inspection, no walkaround, no paper signed. NOTHING!! So on what basis do they later decide to keep part of our deposit?
Despite having taken their insurance AND returning the car with MORE fuel than the contract required, they still kept part of our deposit.
About that fuel policy, by the way: they ask you to return the tank at 5/8 full, which is a meaningless instruction when the car dashboard only show 4 bars... I played it safe and returned it at 3/4.... didn't matter: they kept our money anyway, with no explanation and no documentation to justify it.
This isn't a rental company, it's a system designed to squeeze extra money out of customers at every step.
Save yourself the stress and go with literally any other agency.

It took way too long to pick up my car from the airport, check in was long and inefficient.

Great service!
Everything was perfect: brand-new, spotless cars, no long waiting times, and they even pick you up from and drop you off at the airport. We really enjoyed the car and, most importantly, this is an honest, trustworthy company with no scams or hidden surprises. We were two women traveling together and felt completely comfortable and safe throughout the whole experience. I would definitely recommend Niza Cars!
Nothing.
Renting a car is a must if you want to explore Mallorca!
Whenever we had a question, they responded immediately and were very helpful.

Forced me to pay a 192 euros insurance.
I already had an insurance but they wouldn't let me get the car if i didn't pay.
Abusive commercial manners. 0/10 i do not recommend.

Regarding the luggage tray missing when you returned the vehicle ? with license plate number ? you need to know that the cost for said part is 760€. After your deposit of 500€, the balance pending payment is 260€, for which we just sent you a link for payment. Please proceed as soon as possible.
⚠️ Avoid: highly questionable practices at NizaCars
Very poor experience with NizaCars – I strongly advise not renting from this company.
At the time of returning the car, everything was thoroughly checked on site. We walked around the vehicle together with the staff member: the fuel level was verified, any damage was inspected, and everything was confirmed to be in perfect condition. This was clearly and explicitly acknowledged by the employee, in a friendly manner and without any reservations.
Additionally, it is standard procedure to check the trunk, including the luggage tray. It is simply not credible that this would not be done during the return process. Everything was complete and in proper order.
Then, 8 days later, out of nowhere, I receive an email with a claim. No mention whatsoever at the time of return, no direct communication, nothing. This feels like a deliberate tactic to impose charges after the fact, when you no longer have the opportunity to address the situation on the spot.
This is not acceptable and completely undermines trust:
Everything is confirmed as fine at handover
Days later, charges suddenly appear
Highly unprofessional and, in my opinion, misleading.
My advice: avoid NizaCars.
Even 1 star is too generous for this experience.

Cinco, Cinco, Cinco,Cinco, Cinco!
Brillante!
We were given a brand new car!!
We were picked up and taken to the rental hire Nizacars from Barcelona - EL Prat Airport.
The hire process was straightforward when we arrived we had booked through Ryan Air when booking our flights.
We didn't have any problems during the hire and returning the car was straightforward too.
Muchas Gracias!
