Too expensive to return to China?

I needed to exchange the dress that I bought, which is too small despite me following the size chart. When I emailed customer service for a return label, they told me that it would cost them $30-$50 to ship it back to China and asked if they could send me another size. Given I paid about $55 for the dress on sale, this tells you what the quality of the dress was also. I needed the dress for a wedding and it wouldn’t have been here in time. They wouldn’t give me a refund even though it had been within the return policy time frames, but they offered me store credit for the cost of the dress and to keep the dress that didn’t fit me. I guess that’s better than nothing, but with all of the expenses of travel for the wedding and needing to buy another dress, a refund would have been better for me. I intentionally bought the dress because the company name states ‘New York”. I’ve had this happen several times with having to return things to China causing very long wait times and the company doesn’t want to give you a refund so I felt misled.

ORION of New York, WARNING EVERYONE!

PLEASE EVERYONE ALERT! THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!!!
To all who are reading this post:
I came back to edit, as I just remembered further details. However, the paragraphs got turned around. My apologies.
1) he knew the exact balance in my checking account.
2)He gave me his "badge #"(yeh right), #514219, and full name and spelled it for me, Timothy Brooks.
3) When he called my caller ID lit up area code 357, but when I asked him for his direct line, in case I had any questions about the case I could reach him. Reluctantly, he gave me a completely different number, non working of course.
I made sure I wrote everything down, and I did file a police report. They will do a cyber crime investigation.
Toward the end of the conversation, I couldn't believe he would say something like this and think people would buy it, he said, he would send an agent out to my residence and I said really??? Wow! Can you call me with the date and time so I can be prepared. I said I'll have my police friend with me to witness any future transactions. That's when he disconnected the call

I ordered 2 hoodies with a zipper. I spent $85.00 on both. It said fast shipping!! I'm still waiting 2.5 weeks later. I sent them 3 contact requests asking if a rep. could get back to me. By the time I got to the 3rd contact form I wrote if I don't receive a response I will call the police!
30 minutes later I got an alert text message from my banks fraud dept. asking if I did a recent transaction with Apple pay? I informed the dept. that I'm a Microsoft/android person and never use Apple pay and they immediately shut my debit card down.
The amount that was submitted was $0.00 on that day.. I asked the fraud dept why they would bill zero dollars? He explained that these criminals test the account before they hack it!
Knowing my card was closed I felt better....until 7:30a.m. the next morning.
My phone rang early the very next morning and a man on the phone, and this was quite odd, said he was calling from the FDIC. Being a former banker I knew who the FDIC was. Never have they called me. Even when I was a banker I never spoke to them. 1st flag.
He explained because my account was compromised, and it had been, they were opening a "private investigation, and that they believed, one of the employees at my local branch office, was being looked at as an internal threat. He almost had me after talking to him, I kept him on the phone to keep him talking.
He said he couldn't tell me details about the investigation as it's a private matter. I said "banks are public buildings",
He said he needed the new card number so he can deposit money, he called "prom money", that's short for promissory note, but he further explained its money, controlled by the FDIC that they will deposit into my account so in case they, the culprit, attempts to withdraw from my account, the monies they deposit from prom, will cover the fraud attemts, so my money won't be touched! Not quite a promissory
Inote.
I knew at this point this was a fraudster on my phone.
The timing on all of this is exactly the day I wrote on my "contact sheet" to Orions that I was going to notify the local P.D.,was all on the same day, and the very next morning I received that damming phone call. I typically don't believe in coincidences. The timing was too obvious.
HEED THIS WARNING! THERE IS NO DOUBT THIS IS RELATED TO ORION!Buyer beware!!!

Consumers beware of Orion New York!

Orion acknowledged I never completed my order (they could not find an order number connected to my name & address), but sent items anyway. Shirts received were not the same as the mens' denim shirts pictured on their website. Poor fabric quality, not even denim. Orion would only offer a 30% refund unless I paid the full return postage to the factory in China - which would have wiped out the amount of the refund. Chalking it up to a bad, bad online shopping experience!

SCAM ALERT!!

SCAM ALERT!!! They sent the wrong size, material is cheap as hell and they are a China based company operating as if they are in New York. Spent $139 with them all to say I'm in dispute with my bank because they refuse to honor what the return policy for incorrect items. My guess is because they know what it costs to ship.

Regrets Only

Waited 3 weeks to receive cheap material, poorly constructed items. When contacted company to return, took several days to work out a AI “solution.” The solution offered was 10% what I paid or mail return to China. Second attempt 20% offered. Any return is NOT going to New York but to Guangdong. What a scam. Just know depending on what you mail starts at $125 to China. The postal employee said he sees at least one of these a week. Don’t do it. All these positive posts are self written. So even with a $33 refund(not credited just yet) I’m out $130.

The products are terrible all polyester…

The products are terrible all polyester and see through although on the picture they look really nice. Its some kind of scam where they want to you to return the low quality products to China which cost you $50 - more than the items value at times. The customer service number doesn’t work. They don’t want to refund you and want you to ship back to China although its called New York company. Absolutely scam and should be shut down.

Cheap low quality polyester, wrong size.

I ordered a henley shirt and two days later I discovered
the bad reviews and contacted them to cancel the order. They said it had already shipped but follow up emails several days later showed it still had not bee sent. I got the shirt and it is pure junk, poor quality in every respect and cheap polyester. To top it off it is advertised as slim fit and appears to be XL.

They tricked me into purchasing the exact same dress at a discounted price during checkout. I thought they were offering a discounted amount and then they charged me for two of the same dresses. I immediately tried contacting customer service, but the phone is no longer in service. I sent two emails and still have not heard back. I would say their customer service is poor if they actually had customer service. I will be contacting my credit card company to file a dispute. STAY AWAY FROM ORDERING FROM THIS COMPANY

Ordered a pair of sandals

Ordered a pair of sandals. I understood the return shipping policy but the website did not show these were being shipped from China. Took 3 weeks to get and the (leather) sandals were cheap imitation leather. Company refused to pay for return shipping and all I could do was try and deal with an automated AI email robot system. Return shipping was $51. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMAPNY. CHEAP PRODUCTS/POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Dress colors were not as expected and…

Dress colors were not as expected and the dress fit was uncomfortable. I have sent 3 emails requesting a return label (I know I will be paying for shipping) but every email reply asks for the reason (which I have given in every email) and offers me 10% off my next purchase. I told them I will not be purchasing anything until I know I can return it if it isn’t satisfactory. Now they appear to be stonewalling and have not responded in the last 18 hours.

Buyer Beware

Buyer Beware! Don’t buy from this site. It’s terrible! I followed there measurements. Ended up with a way to large dress and a way to small pants set. When you want to return the items that were purchased they will offer a pathetic 20% back to you and you can keep the items. The products are so poor quality I’m embarrassed to even take to the thrift store. And if you refuse their 20% compensation, they will tell you you have to directly go through a warehouse in China that cost you more than you paid for the items to return them. So again I stress buyer beware. It’s a tough lesson to have to learn, but I’ve learned mine. One note I did forget after I refused the 20% they so graciously offered me 30% back and that is when they referred me to the warehouse in China.

The item ordered was extremely low…

The item ordered was extremely low quality compared to item listed. It was supposed to be a “premium “ men’s sweater when it turned out to be a cheap fleece! Trying to return it was easy until I found out the shipping would be over $33 for a $55 item. So I settled for keeping the item (which I will donate) and got back $16.50! Do NOT do business with this company! Very CHEAP clothes!
