"While my claims were eventually approved, the process with Pets Best is a nightmare of intentional delays. They repeatedly rejected my digital receipts, demanding that I handwrite the claim number on them and re-upload—a ridiculous tactic in a digital age. Even worse, they rejected new claims by mistake, lazily claiming they were 'duplicates' without actually checking the dates or services. Despite their clear errors, they never offered a single apology. They seem to rely on frustrating customers into giving up. Highly unprofessional. If you want a smooth experience, look elsewhere.

i just recently purchased pets best for…

i just recently purchased pets best for a new puppy I just recently go. i had heathy paws for 12 years for two of my other dogs who recently passed away and was very happy with them for payment and ease of use but as the dogs got older the prices drastically increased so i decided to try a new insurance company . healthy paws reimbursed usually within in a day which was great. Pets best app was easy to use but the reimbursement took significantly longer so only 4 stars.

We have been using PetsBest insurance…

We have been using PetsBest insurance for our dog for over 5 years. The company’s app is super easy to submit a claim and response is usually given within a week or two. Also they have direct deposit for reimbursement to my bank account. The yearly premium has gone up every year and is considerable. But with the cost of an older dog with a chronic condition it truly is worth the money. Because you have peace of mind your pet can get the care they need without worrying if you can afford the treatment. Definitely recommend purchasing a policy before you need it because once your pet is diagnosed preexisting conditions usually won’t be covered.

Giving Nina and Benny the Best Care!

Thank you for helping with Nina's meds. Every dollar saved helps me to take the best care of my 2 pups that are insured with you. In addition, it allows me to have a little extra to help animal shelters and rescues. I am so happy that I have Pets Best for my pups insurance.

I highly recomend Pets Best!

I highly recomend Pets Best Pet Insurance to everyone, my family and friends have joined, they are very satisfied as well. Our Pets are going to get sick so like any other insurance get them covered! The ease of signing up, the helpful customer service reps the fast re-imbursements are a small part of the relief and joy I feel knowing my pet is covered. Sign UP today you will be glad you did!

Claim issues

I have had this insurance for less than 1 yr on a pup I took in from a shelter in Mississippi. Estimated to be 12 yrs old so yes she has issues. I know all about preexisting conditions but when she has a uti or hemmorghic gastroenteritis, those are not preexisting and everytime I sent in an invoice for a claim I have issues. Mostly they need more info or medical records and I dont have any records prior to May 2 2025 even if she is estimated to be 12y/o. She was picked up as a stray so no info. I can’t give them what I don’t have so it takes several calls and resubmitting claim before they will start to process it. I am switching to healthy paws. Never had issues with them ever over 10-12 yrs I was with them. I was trying to get wellness coverage which healthy paws doesn’t cover but I’m done with them questioning every claim

I am extremely disappointed and…

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with Pets Best. I have been a loyal customer since 2022, paying premiums monthly for 4 years without a single claim for my two cats. Now that my cat finally needed surgery for Tooth Resorption—a condition that clearly developed recently—Pets Best has done nothing but give me the run-around for over two months.
The lack of consistency is appalling. My EOB states "additional information is needed," yet I received an email stating the claim is "not covered." Which one is it? I have provided all medical records showing my cat has been healthy and asymptomatic for years. Medically speaking, if this were a "pre-existing" condition from 2022, it would have been impossible for my cat to remain healthy and pain-free until 2026.
Their customer service is non-existent. I have spent weeks trying to get a straight answer, only to be met with contradictory statements and bureaucratic delays. It feels like they are intentionally making the process difficult to avoid paying a legitimate claim.
I will for sure appeal, if this is not resolved immediately, I will be filing a formal complaint with the State Department of Insurance and taking my business elsewhere. DO NOT trust this company to be there for you when your pet actually needs help.

Looking for Peace of Mind for your pets?

One of our cats recently had some health issues that needed emergency care. It resulted in four Animal Hospital/Vet bills. The format for submitting the bills to Pets Best was very easy to follow and any questions we had were promptly addressed. I also liked that they would follow-up and keep us informed as to the status of our claims all the way to our reimbursement. Throughout the entire process, we were extremely satisfied with our experience with Pets Best. Their fees are very affordable and they know what they are doing. We give them our highest rating! Look no further if you are looking for Pet Insurance for your pets.

Fair and Quick Claim Reimbursement

They are great about reimbursement for claims: quick and fair. Their rates beat other pet insurances that I’ve looked into. My rate increased significantly though this year.

Research other insurances first

After further research, I find that there are better pet insurance policies available other than Pests Best. I spend $68/ month and it takes over a month to even hear anything back regarding any claims let alone what is covered for reimbursement and not. And their interface system is out of date, taking up so much time to simply login.

Normally I would put this all the way up to five, but recently there's been some sort of technical issue with their website. A month ago I have been unable to login to my account from a computer browser. Doesn't seem to matter if it's chrome, Firefox, or edge. I put in username and password and it goes to 403 Forbidden error, due to Microsoft Azure App Gateway. This naturally makes it hard to submit claims, etc. I had to download their app to get access to my account. I prefer the web browser as it allows easier access to vet bills to be added for claims. This is a recent issue, 2026, but this is going on six weeks now where have to rely on their app to access my account.
Claims, support is all top notch otherwise. Highly recommend, but really need to get the online portal functioning.

It is terrible to try to speak to a rep…

It is terrible to try to speak to a rep when you want to ask a question that isn't covered on your site. The chat is never open and then when you call you are given a 20-to-30-minute wait time...On the good side is they do pay fairly, they don't try to cut corners to save money. And you do get reimbursed the amounts due to you. Also pay out is pretty prompt.

Quick to Reimburse

This company is very good at quickly responding to submitted requests for reimbursement. They have never questioned my requests for reimbursement and the process itself is very straightforward. I had been paying for the insurance for a few years before having to use it for a CCL surgery for my dog. PetsBest reimbursed me with no questions asked. I have recommended them to several family and friends.

Pet's Best

We have Pet's Best for a couple of years now. We had decided to take out the insurance on our two youngest dogs. We never had this type of insurance before , so we were initially a little skeptical. It turned out to be a good relationship. The App makes all the difference in the world. After submission of a claim, if there is an issue then they keep you in the loop as to what is going on with the claim, which is much appreciated.

Poor Service, The Worst!!!!!

I’ve had my pet insured with Bets Best for over 5 yrs.
The Co. must have changed hands!
They are the worst! I can’t get them to pay an $83 dollar came I submitted the first of Jan. 2026 today is 3/9/2026. They told me on 2/10/2026. In a letter& I quote “At this time, this delay notification does not require any additional information from you”
As of today 3/9/ 2026 it is still UNPAID!
