Absolutely Terrible Firm

Absolutely terrible Firm: I went on-line Thursday evening 22 August before Bank Holiday weekend and ordered a Boiler which was shown as 'in stock' - I completed the transaction by credit card payment - The Order was accepted and marked as 'processing' - The next morning (Friday) I went to the website to check if the Boiler had been dispatched and saw that the Order had now been marked as 'cancelled' - I then attempted to phone up to get an explanation, the phone just kept ringing and ringing until it went through to someone who referred to herself as 'the Receptionist' and said that 'the person' I needed to speak to was 'in a meeting and that she would get him to phone me as soon as he was back - Hours later at 13:30 I had not heard anything and so phoned again and again the phone rang and rang until it clicked through to another female who took my details again and again said someone would phone me - By this time I was getting the impression that everybody must've been at some pre Bank Holiday luncheon and so didn't expect a call back until after 14:00 - I then phoned my credit card co who confirmed the payment had been authorised & waiting to be taken by the Company - Nobody from 'plumbingmegastore' had phoned me back by late afternoon (I had actually been waiting in for the call) & so I phoned again and again the phone just kept ringing and ringing until it went through to another female who again took my details and said she would 'put it through' for someone to phone me back urgently, but also said that she couldn't promise that they would (so clearly this is a regular occurrence!) - But that call never came, not even an email explanation or anything (it is now Tuesday evening 27/8). I seriously believe that someone did not want to bother processing the Order on the Friday before Bank Holiday weekend. How do such people keep their jobs? I thought such Firms were 'extinct'? don't be fooled by their website that implies they are 'customer friendly' and that you can phone up for advice and that lines are open 8am to 8pm because you cant actually get to speak to anyone technical or who knows anything. They have low prices and you may be lucky if they actually dispatch your Item and it arrives as expected and is not faulty - But if you have a problem of any sort I would doubt how you would get any sort of satisfaction (& what if that was in Winter and you were without heat?!!) - Better to pay a bit more and shop elsewhere for peace of mind. I actually now think that the person that 'cancelled' my Order, for whatever reason, did me a favour and I am getting a Boiler elsewhere. AVOID!!!!!!

I ordered two radiators

I ordered two radiators. The price was great. The ordering process was great. The initial emails confirming the order was great. The email confirming a delivery date was great. And that is where it ended. The delivery date given, waited in, tried contacting them at 4.30, phone went to reception, they take a message. Two hours later, no contact. I phoned again, went to reception, that took a message, two more times I done this. No call back, no emails, left in limbo. First thing next morning, done the same, twice, went to reception, no call backs, nothing. I smelt a rat so contacted my bank to get money back. Put through to security of my bank. Half way through conversation and giving details of this company, the delivery arrived. No explanation from driver, he was independent, no call backs, no emails, nothing. So, I have discovered they use remote offices where all the calls go to. They then just sent email message to someone in the never megastore. They then do nothing with it. So, if you have a problem, DO NOT EXPECT IT TO EITHER GET ANSWERED OR SORTED. I am a plumber and needed these for my customer. Next time, I will stick with my existing supplier. They may be more expensive, but at least I know they exist.

Do what they say on the tin!

To be honest did have some reservations reading a few of the negative reviews. Pleased to report online ordering was a piece of cake. Boiler ordered Wednesday. Instead of advertised 5-7 working days was delivered VERY NEXT day in the morning. Plus got a courtesy call to confirm approaching delivery.

AND MOST COMPETITIVE COMPANY ONLINE BAR NONE!

Terribe customer service

Terribe customer service - Non-delivery

Firstly paid for express delivery and delivery not advised within dates paid for.
Secondly, never got phone or email about when delivery is coming
Phoned customer service 4 times about delivery. No one could answer, did not get call back. One customer service told me to call customer service?! Emailed - no response. Tweeted - No response.

Worcester Greenstar part

Really good service. I needed a part for a Worcester boiler and nearly ordered the wrong item. Not only did Plumbmegastore spot my error, but they also gave me the manufacturer's number to call to double check before ordering. Great service. Also competitive price and very quick delivery. Will use again.

I had a great experience

I had a great experience. I had to make some changes to my order and it was very easy to contact customer service. The delivery guy was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely use them again.
