Lightening tips break and the company will blame you

We bought a pack of the Pulse Charge Cables. The first time we used the lightning connections they broke. Two. We stopped using after that and went back to our old cables.

We wrote to Pulse and basically they blamed us "Charging tip damage is not covered under the manufacturer's warranty we receive. We believe the most likely cause of this type of damage is that some users aren't accustomed to the extended rigid section at the end of the cable. As a result, they may accidentally apply leverage to the adapter tip, causing it to snap off. As a gesture of goodwill, we’re happy to offer a one-time replacement for the both. We just ask that you cover the $9.95 postage cost involved in sending the replacement to you."

Looking at the reviews now I can see this is a common issue and they obviously just don't care and have no desire to take accountability and improve their product. They also are not super fast at all, particularly for mac books.

Don't waste your money.

Hi Anna,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear about your experience with the lightning connections breaking, and we apologise if our previous communication made you feel like we do not care about our products or our customers. That is certainly not our intention.

While we understand your frustration, we want to reassure you that this is not a common issue. We have sold tens of thousands of these cables, and this type of damage is rarely reported. We are always looking to improve, and our offer for a one-time replacement was intended as a genuine gesture of goodwill to help make things right. That offer still stands if you would like to proceed.

Regarding your concerns about the charging speed, we are sorry to hear you're having issues there as well. I hope the information below helps clarify how the technology works.

Fast charging depends on three key factors:

Wall Adapter – You need a fast-charging adapter, ideally one that can deliver up to 65 watts. If yours is underpowered or faulty, it could slow things down. We recommend trying a different adapter or upgrading to one with a higher output. This link will take you to an Amazon search where you can see examples of 65W wall adapters - https://www.amazon.com.au/s?k=65+watt+usb+wall+charger&crid=1D6RKLLUFBEE0&sprefix=65+watt+usb+wal+charger%2Caps%2C249&ref=nb_sb_noss

High-Power USB Cable – Our 4-in-1 cable is designed to handle fast charging. It works with the adapter to safely deliver power to your device without overheating.

Device Compatibility – Your device must also support fast charging. If it doesn't, it will charge at its maximum supported speed, regardless of the cable or adapter used.

If you have any other questions, or if you would like us to arrange those replacement cables for you, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

Kind regards,

The Pulse Charge Team

Wow I bought the Magnetic Pulse Charger…

Wow I bought the Magnetic Pulse Charger and because my phone is older it wouldn’t stick to it so I went and bought the Magnetic ring which you place on the back of your phone which works well. I place the Magnetic charger on my phone now and you don’t even notice it’s there. I have bought lots of pulse things and have only had one which i had a problem with so I got in touch with them and they fixed the issue straight away. Very happy with their service.

Yikes!

Just like all the other reviews, do not purchase the portable charger! The tip snapped off, an obviously common fault as it’s excluded in their warranty.

Don’t waste your money

Don’t waste your money. Kids are very unimpressed and won’t use them now.
They tell me they expected more battery life… can only get one charge of the phone out of it, which is very disappointing and a lot less than other chargers we’ve had. I bought them as Xmas presents and wanted to support an Australian company, but…update Pulse have contacted me and said that the charging capacity is well within its range and that 30 days has passed so they cannot refund or return. I wasn’t after a refund OR return… I just want to warn other punters not to waste your money on a charger that can only charge ONCE before it needs to be recharged itself… so as I said in my first line… “don’t waste your money”

Hi Declan, thanks for your feedback.

We’re sorry to hear the chargers didn’t meet your expectations. The battery capacity and performance are clearly outlined on our product page, and for a wireless charger of this size, the output you’ve described is within the expected range.

Your order was placed on 31 December, and we do offer a 30-day return period to make sure customers have the opportunity to try the product and decide if it’s right for them. As this timeframe has now passed, we’re unable to offer a return or refund in this case.

We appreciate you choosing to support an Australian company and wish you all the best.

Disappointed

I have purchased quite a few different products
4 Venus chargers as gifts and one for myself. The tip snapped off mine within the first month, not covered under warranty
2 Appollos as gifts not aware of any issues
Lastly a 4 in 1 charger, the Apple tip snapped off within the first week
I have never had this issue with any other cord chargers even Kmart chargers
Very expensive for items that break so easily
Disappointing😟

Great Little Chargers

The Duo Pack - Infinity Magnetic Wireless Chargers are great little chargers. Took a little while to kick in charging from fully charged, but once it does, it's quick to top up (iPhone 17 Pro). Also doesn't seem to drain as quick as other powerbanks I've had in the past, getting about 2.5 charge cycles. Gave one to my Mum and she loves it (iPhone 13).

great wireless charger

We have now purchased several products from the
Pulse range and I must say we have been more than happy with both the service and the quality of the
items we have received.
Our latest purchase.
The Infinity twin pack are a great charger and without doubt the handiest accessory we have purchased in a long time, so slim and light you hardly notice it when using your phone.
No more stressing about flat batteries when you're out and about.

Excellent product

Excellent product
My second time ordering from this company and couldn’t be happier with their service. I purchased the duo pack halo bluetooth speakers this time, love it! Gave the other to a family member who finds it very convenient using her phone for cooking ideas.
The sound is excellent.

Buyers Beware!

Absolutely terrible- these power banks don't charge any item properly and DO NOT perform as stated on TV. Don't waste your time or money, our $15 kmart power bank way out performs this rubbish. So disappointed in this company as this is the second time their products have been misrepresent.
And no, it was not a case of incompatibility- all devices were on the list as compatible and nothing charged properly. 4hrs - to get an additional 13% battery power .....what a joke!

Thanks for sending through your information.

It looks like this was a simple matter of incompatibility.

Each of our product pages at https://www.pulsecharge.com.au/collections/products has a full compatibility section that covers what devices are compatible. We encourage customers to reach out prior to purchase if their device does not appear on this list, or if they have any niggling questions.

I thought this would be the answer to my charging while overseas. I purchased back in Nov’24 and have been happy with the convenience up until it broke on my first trip overseas with it in March this year. My apple phone was going flat so I plugged in the pulse charge while sitting at the airport and accidentally fumbled my phone onto my lap and the tip snapped off, was very annoyed and won’t purchase a similar device again.
