The lousiest surgery ever

The lousiest surgery ever. I had a shocking experience with a Quironsalude hospital's professionalism. The surgeon didn't stitch the wound accordingly, and my husband suffered so much. What a lousy job. A week of admission became a month of staying in the hospital. We discovered their lousy surgery after readmission to the Singapore National University Hospital. Thank God my husband is still alive because of the great surgeons in Singapore. Don't ever go to Quironsalud for any surgery issues. It is a disaster.

DREADFUL EXPERIENCE AT QUIRON TORREVIEJA TRAUMOLOGY DEPT

Dreadful experience when using Quiron, Torrevieja Hospital Traumology Department for cortisone injection in hip. Paid 125€ to see Dr. he didn’t even examine my hip, said he did not give cortisone injections only PRP (platelet rich plasma) & I would need 3 injections ~ one a week. Very expensive 415€ per injection & 75€ for blood test.

Returned a week later for 1st jab, Dr didn’t know who I was, asked me what I had come for? Explained he had seen me a week before & he told me about PRP. I had 9 phials of blood extracted & processed ready for Jabs. Dr told me to get on bed, dug his finger in my hip to see if it hurt & jabbed the needle in my hip. No pain relief given, I was screaming in pain & fainted. Left hospital in wheelchair, couldn’t walk for 2 days. No information given as what to do after injection.

Returned 2 weeks later for 2nd jab, waited hours for plasma to be collected from lab. Took a sheet of questions with me as there are many things you shouldn’t do or consume after PRP. Dr has No communication skills or empathy.

After 2nd jab had serious allergic reaction. Tongue swollen, couldn’t swallow or talk. Rushed to local hospital for emergency treatment. Far more professional than treatment at Quiron. Sent Allergy Report to Quiron, Dr was supposed to phone me twice, waited for call didn’t happen for a week. When he phoned he didn’t know what type of injection I had. He asked ‘Cortisone or PRP? Had to remind him he told me he didn’t do Cortisone jab. He asked if it was 1st/2nd jab? He couldn’t remember. Asked me if I had pain relief? Had to remind him he told me he didn’t give pain relief? I told him all this information should be on his computer, he said he couldn’t find anything.

Dr said a plasma sample would have to be analysed at my local Hospital Allergy Dept..No offer to do it at Quiron. Visited my hospital without an appointment. They immediately tested me for 34 different things ~ no allergies. They gave me a letter for Quiron requesting plasma. Took Quiron 3 weeks to let me know I had to get a request form signed by my Allergy Dr which required another trip to hospital 40 KLM’s away.

Process took 6 weeks, much too late to get a third PRP jab.

Dr had no communication skills, not caring, no advice given. Put a complaint into the hospital, waste of time. Apologised for problems & Dr was told to improve his empathy skills. Wrote to Medical Director, who has never replied.

The jabs have done nothing to improve my pain. Long waits at hospital, Dr turns up late. Traumology Reception staff rude no Customer Service skills. Don’t go near them. Sent numerous emails to Private Patient Dept. No authority to do anything. Asked for my complaint to be escalated to Snr Manager. Was told I could only speak to her or Dr. Complaint took 4 weeks to be answered & had to drive 40 KLM’s to hospital to get paper copy of response as they didn’t send me correct code to read response online. Waste of paper their response was written on.

Don’t believe anything they put on their website about the amazing treatment you will receive in an award winning hospital. A complete waste of 1000€. Worst 3 months of my life.

Had Cortisone injection at Murcia General Hospital, much better treatment. Went in 20 mins early, two very friendly Dr’s & excellent treatment. Always receive an online survey after appointment.

Worst hospital I have ever been to

Worst hospital I have ever been to! The staff (most of them) are very little speakers of English, the others are only Spanish speakers (including the doctors – one of which asked me to use google translate to tell him what the problem is) – being a touristic island English should be more learned and used. The attitude towards people is bad, unprofessional, I have doubts that they even know what they are doing. One doctor prescribed one thing, another doctor prescribed another. I ended up buying a lot of medicine because they “didn’t have it”. The waiting time is huge, if you get to the emergency room prepare to wait and suffer more. There are several tickets until you get seen by the doctor. When we got there we got our first ticket and waited for 40 minutes just to get to the front desk to get a paper to complete, then we got another ticket, another 40 minutes to get seen by the triage, then the same ticket was used again (only waited 15 minutes more) to get seen by the doctor. This is a private hospital! It costs money (and a lot) to get you checked while paying top dollar. It is shameful to be on the market with this services. Parking is a nightmare, I recommend using a taxi instead. Nothing good to say about it! Be advised!

Absolutely awful hospital

Absolutely awful hospital!
We have been here for 5 days waiting for Tramotology to come and see my husband so we can go back to the UK.

I am having to chase constantly and no one is getting back to me.

It’s a private hospital but no one around at the weekend and absolute skeleton staff.

I would not recommend coming here even if your insurance company make the arrangements.

Dabbler

Quironsalud-Huelva - Complete eyelid correction; nurse stuck the needle against my bone 2x. The female plastic surgeon quickly placed 2 lines above 1 eyelid, without further checking my skin. After the operation I had terrible pain for several weeks; as if a burning metal band was being pulled from my eyebrow to my crown. Even while I was sleeping these attacks came. My eyes were badly damaged; I looked at thousands of photos on the internet and none were as bad. The final result is that there is an ugly rim next to one eye, the above my eyes are not lifted well/sufficiently and there are vertical folds next to/under both eyes. Of course I reported all these defects to the woman and I did not receive any response, while it is clearly visible. I then filled in a complaint form and despite asking several times, I never heard anything again. She should have tested and marked my skin better; when you lie down your skin "hangs" differently than when you are in a vertical position. I won't mention her name here, she also works in Seville, if I'm correctly informed.

QUIRON SALUD no , it is Centro Comercial!

Talking about QUIRON SALUD MADRID ( in Pozuelo).
The Administration is super BAD and super CARELESS!
We are using this hospital since 2018 and up to 2020 ( before COVID) everything was perfect. But after that, it looks they changed the administration.
- Most of profesional doctors left the hospital,
- the administration became very annoying, careless and aggressive.
- Even the application and appointment system. This is almost impossible you can take an appointment sooner than 3-4 months and depend on your insurance company, many doctors don’t accept the insurance company. You can’t take appointment with one doctor sooner than 4 months and if you pay without insurance, you have appointment in 24h!

My wife is 7 months pregnant with high risk Rheumatology disease , and looks some young new intern students mixed the blood tests with wrong numbers. Finally she had to repeat the tests while for her pregnancy was out of the standard period .

He rheumatologist insists for revision appointment after one month and they didn’t called for 1.5 months and then we had to go be person and they gave us appointment for next 2 months, and after few days they automatically canceled the appointment in the APP!!!!

And now a days, it became a place for Medical Turism !!! You see people come by bus with tour leaders and now can imagine why it’s not possible to take appointment for months!

The urgency as always is a disaster!!!

It’s a shame, because it is very modern and well equipped hospital with such bad management!

Deeply disappointed with Quironsalud Integrative Medicine and Functional Unit

Deeply disappointed with the treatment at the Integrative Medicine and Functional Unit at the Olympia Grupo Quironsalud. After paying a premium for a diagnosis, I was presented with a treatment plan that seemed excessively costly, requiring over two dozen follow-up visits for ozone therapy, nutrient transfusions, and other pricey procedures. As someone familiar with integrative and functional medicine, I sought second opinions from doctors in Barcelona and the United States. The consensus suggested that the proposed treatment plan appeared more profit-driven than focused on providing practical and sustainable self-care options for patients.

My wife's treatment was of the highest standard

My wife was admitted to the emergency ward via ambulance from the P&O Azura cruise ship, she then spent 5 days in ICU and several days afterward on a ward.
The treatment from all the staff she and I received at all times were professional, efficient and very caring.
Christina and her team were fantastic they made a very frightening and worrying time for both of us bearable.
Every staff member we had dealing with from Cleaners, Nurses , Doctors and all auxiliary staff were truly wonderful. I can only praise the treatment my wife and indeed myself received to be of the highest standard.
A very big thank you to all the staff at Quironsalud Hospital

The worst experience of my life

The worst experience of my life. I am pregnant, and I drove an hour to the Quirón hospital because of its supposed reputation as a top maternity hospital. I arrived at the emergency room with cramps and bleeding—symptoms of a miscarriage. The staff was rude and careless.

I asked for a chair because I couldn’t walk, but the woman at the desk said there were no chairs available. I told the nurse that I couldn’t walk, and her response was a very rude, “Well, don’t walk then.” I waited there for about an hour without any attention or information.

I went to the reception desk to ask for a manager, but there was no manager available. I asked for a complaint form and explained to the receptionist that I needed urgent help and had driven a long way to come to a private hospital expecting better care. He looked at the same woman from the earlier “chair episode” and said, “But you’re supposed to go to the gynecologist,” as if I was supposed to know where the gynecologist was!

I had been waiting for so long because no one directed me or provided any guidance. At that point, I was furious. I told him this was unbelievable and that this hospital was awful. I said I couldn’t believe such treatment was possible and that I was leaving. His response? A sarcastic “Chaooo,” just like the woman earlier.

I just needed some humanity and care in that moment. It’s painful in every possible way, and what a woman needs is compassion and delicacy during such a difficult time.

I don’t recommend this hospital to any woman. I wouldn’t even consider giving birth there after seeing how they treat you in an emergency.

Very good experience

Cannot fault the hospital in how they looked after my husbnad. Everyone, from the reception to the doctors did their upmost best and helped us navigate the hospital and the language. We did take a translator to 2 of the appointments, some of the doctors and reception staff could speak English, but the ones who couldn't tried their best. Would definitely recommend this hospital. My husband had cosmetic surgery on his face and the doctor was Joanne Irene diaz ontiveros, she was very nice and could speak some English, very happy with her.

Great ENT doctor and great clinic

I made an appointment to see an Ear, nose, and throat doctor because I had pain and hearing problems from my left ear. Dr. Felipe Benjuemea Flores examined me and determined I had a wax clog, and he set out to take it out. The procedure is a bit uncomfortable, not surprised about this, but very positively surprised with the care received from this doctor during the treatment, and how well he explained to me what the problem was and what to do to avoid this in the future.
The appointment was at 13h, and I was called in at exactly that time.
I would highly recommend this doctor and this clinic.

Very bad experience. My husband went to the emergency after a week of vomiting and stomach pain. They said it was a virus without doing any tests at all. He start getting worst and ended up in a hospital which don't have emergency but they ran test on him. His blood work had a super high CRP and many more abnormal markers. He had a severe bacteria infection was severely dehydrated and your hospital sent him home. You are dangerous. My husbands name is Kurt Penberg

I had the worst experience with Quiron hospital Malag

I had the worst experience with this hospital. My daughter has been hospitalized on Friday October 4th for Anemia urgently based on her pediatrician and hematologist instructions. Both doctors work for Quiron and neither one of them has taken a minute of their time to come check-in on my child. They kept sending recommendations with the other doctors and nurses that were on duty. Most of the stuff working those days were rude and very mean. My daughter is 7 and therefore I had to stay with her. No one has offered me food or anything to drink, knowing that the hospital’s cafeteria closes on weekends. I actually never heard of such a thing, especially that it is a pediatric/maternity hospital. When I asked, I was told to go out of the hospital and go get my own food. None of the working nurses had told me that I could actually get a meal with my hospitalized daughter and pay for it! Every time I asked, all I got was attitude!!!
I was alone with 2 kids in Malaga, and my son was with me, they refused to give me an extra pillow so we could sleep. When asked, I was told that only 2 pillows per room were allowed!!! I know that this is not a hotel but my daughter’s hospitalization was beyond my control and I was not gonna leave my 10 year old home alone because the hospital has a 2 people per room policy! There was absolutely no support or understanding from any one! Not to mention the fact that we didn’t speak a fluent spanish. It was annoying for many of the stuff!
Also, the day my daughter was discharged, the nurse on duty busted her arm while removing the IV. My daughter was in pain but I thought it was only from snatching the IV so hard. Next, she woke up crying in the middle of the night from the pain in her arm. I was so scared when I saw how swollen her arm was. I took her to a different emergency room and they told me to take her back to Quiron as they should be responsible for that. I really didn’t want to go there but I had to and that’s when they did an Ecography and found out a huge blood clot in her arm. They said, the iron does that but I highly doubt it! She was hospitalized again for a phlebitis!
This week she had to do a blood test with them again, to see if the iron they gave her has made a difference. She went on Wednesday November 6th and the nurse told us that she can’t do the blood test then because she was not fasting and that she had to come back in the morning fasting. My husband thought the nurse knew what she was doing, but these types of blood tests can be done at anytime of the day and no need to fast!
So he took her back on Thursday morning November 7th, the nurse on duty at that time was mean and miss treated my daughter. She poked her arm so many times harshly, and when there was no blood, she complained that my daughter was moving too much! My daughter was in pain and cried alot because it was the arm she had the blood clot on, and also she has anemia so it was very hard to get blood out of her!
Today, Friday 9th I called to check why we haven’t received the test yet and I was told that we will have to wait for Monday November 11th to find out!
Mind you, my daughter had 7/hemoglobins, without mentioning all the other deficits that had shown in her blood test back on October 10th. She is 7 years old and out of breath. She is extremely tired and every move she makes, her hearts starts beating really fast!
This review is very long but worth reading if you care about your health or loved ones.
I strongly advise people not to go there. They don’t care about patients’ health!

Reception staff overwhelmed with patients

I arrived at 09-00 for an appointment, despite bringing it to staffs attention twice after 40 minutes waiting I chose to ask for a meeting appointment which was arranged for the following week. I arrived a little early for my appointment & within 10 minutes I had an interpreter, we proceeded to the consultants waiting room & after 10 minutes I was told that the consultant wasn't in today. I was taken back to reception to get an appointment the following day, if I could not attend it would be November before I could have an appointment. So I go tomorrow. Hopefully third time lucky. 3 appointments when only one needed.
