International Services at Quiron Salud Palmaplanas…

International Services at Palmaplanas does not live up in any way to what you see on the website for a private hospital that will assist and guide patients and families from other countries that do not speak Spanish. They care only about getting full deposit upfront and then disappear while you figure it out on your own. I have never felt such hostility, disdain and discrimination in my life while dealing with a family member who needed emergency surgery in a foreign country as the private international hospital especially in the main hospital. Avoid Martha at all costs if admitted to main hospital for anything! Treatment by International Service was better in emergency room (ask for Katherine) and the actual doctor was great in his treatment of our family - but no one deserves to be treated in the manner that my family was during a medical crisis while on holiday in foreign country.

absolutely unreachable after you leave…

absolutely unreachable after you leave the hospital. I cannot get my invoice to claim to my insurance (in addition deposit of 3000 eur was placed). I was on vacation on Tenerife and had some issues with blood pressure, and would avoid this hospital if i would read those reviews earlier. So unprofessional.

Palmaplanas hospital

I just do not understand all the bad opinions I am reading. My experience was an operation (Palmaplanas) to remove a cervical disc hernia. Everyone took such good care of me I couldn’t stop saying thank you for all the professional care and attention it just left me feeling so lucky to be in such good hands. Extremely organized modern with latest technology. Thank you to all the staff, don’t change, your the best. Lee

To sum it up

To sum it up! Everything written in the review section is DEFINITELY TRUE! RUDE DOCTORS (Dermatolgist and Surgeon) ALSO STAFF IN DERMATOLOGY DEPARTMENT AND HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH THE SURGERY! I PAID CASH but i recieved bad treatment!! PLUS if you dont speak GOOD SPANISH, in the DERMATOLOGY DEPT from the receptionist, nurses and THE LADY DOCTOR are Racist and Discriminating! A private hospital but not FRIENDLY TO FOREIGNERS!

A doctor didn’t see that she had 3 broken ribs.

My mother fell and she hit her side of the body. We went to emergencies and “Doctor” Santander told her that it was just a contusion. 10 days after, we went back to emergencies as she was very in pain, another doctor check her side body again and he found out that she had 3 broken ribs. “Doctor” Santander has no clue about medicine! I am worry that he continues diagnosing patients with wrong diagnosis. He should not work in a hospital.

Insurance money that all there after

money making machine and don’t give a flying about the patient, I say there 5 hours after I arrived I was rushed into a room for my blood pressure taken by a nurse (well I hope she was ) to secure there fee to my insurance company !!! Then sat waiting for hours , left 5 hours later after I asked to make a complaint ans was given a form to fill out in Spanish ! I ask for an English version seeing this pretend hospital is in the middle of a huge English community, her reply was your in Spain 🇪🇸! Somebody died today ! . !! That’s what happens sadly in hospitals, So as you can expect after reading thousands of bad reviews I understand it’s a money making pretend hospital , Tiny and dated , staff on reception don’t give any respect just give me your insurance ! If this place was in Uk it would be closed down !

My appointment was over 1 hour delayed

My appointment was over 1 hour delayed, and whilst I accept some delays, I do not expect patients who have a later appointment than me to go ahead of me because they have a translater who needs to be somewhere else. I have to use translaters in certain departments and if I am delayed due to a translater busy elsewhere I have to accept this.

The Quironsalud Palmaplanas Hospital I…

The Quironsalud Palmaplanas Hospital I believe saved my husband's life last May/June 2022. Having visited the A & E twice in the the week before after problems with a prostate biposy in UK, he developed a fever and they very quickly diagnosed sepsis. He was treated rapidly and had complications which meant a 10 day stay in ICU and a further week on a ward. The only reason for not rating 5 star is that they were not good at communicating on the phone and I needed to attend the hospital before getting any information. This wasn't easy as I was staying some distance from Palma .
However, I can only praise them for their excellent care and feel sorry that it has taken me so long to review. (Can't date accurately as tick box won't allow but it was May/June 2022)

This is the worst hospital I have ever…

This is the worst hospital I have ever been to. My mother was taken ill with a bad back when we were in our villa so the hospital in the north sent her by ambulance to this hospital in the south. They did various tests and took her to her room. There she stayed for 10 days I had to fight to get her out of there. When you call for a nurse they call back on the phone but take 1.5 hrs to come. When they do hey pumped her with such a vast amount of steroids that she ended up with pancreatitis which she has never had before, she doesn;t even drink! The lines were kept in her arm for too long so I asked the doctor please could these be changed and he assured me the nurse would change them. I noticed they were still in her arm that day and when i asked the nurse he said no it is fine. He totally refused to change her lines she was so lucky she did not get sepsis. Some nights she was in such agony she could not even speak so I called for a nurse, no-one answered. I then went round to the nursing station knocked and opened the door and they were all asleep with their legs over the side of the chair and shooed me out. They said there was no doctor only down in A&E she could not be seen until the morning. This happened on several nights. I stayed with y young son in the hospital after the first day as I simply could not trust these people just prayed that our health insurance would get us out which thank god they did eventually though this hospital said they would not allow my mother out. The catering staff are so rude, nothing is cooked properly I just cant tell you how distressed we all were in this hospital. The worst place you could ever be ill in your whole life. I even have a video of the two healthcare assistants who would not help us. Never ever stay in this hospital it is a total nightmare in the clear sense

I only gave 1 star because there is no option for zero. I booked an appointment with a haemtologist as half my thigh had gone black. I paid €121, waited 1.5 hours past the appointment time, didn't see who I had booked with. I had written in Spanish 5 weeks diagnosis which he threw back at me. He looked at my leg, through the interpreter said he "didn't think it was a clot" and then sent me by wheelchair down to A&E. I waited and was then asked for another €285. No explanation what for so I walked out. I have written twice asking for my money back. It is just a scam hospital. Avoid this place at all costs

TOTAL LET DOWN

My Quiron dermatologist made me an appointment for biopsies on the 13th April which I duly attended by way of a 200km round trip.
When I got there it transpired the doctor was on holiday!
I will now have to wait some months to get this done.
I noticed some cards on the counter for giving feedback/reviews so I took one. When I scanned the bar code I was told to verify myself with bank card details...and told there was ZERO cost, just verification....
The next day, I checked my bank and it had fraudulently taken 30 euros from my account so these feedback cards are in fact a scam!
Overall, I am very very angry with Quiron right now. I wasted half a day of my life, 30 euros of diesel and got scammed as well.
And no biopsies done!
AVOID WHENEVER POSSIBLE!

I wonder if the pediatrician at Quiron…

I wonder if the pediatrician at Quiron is a real doctor. My daughter has a very sore throat infection. Headache and feels weak. The "doctor" only prescribes Panadol and a spray and tell her to drink hot tea !I have been watching other patients. The same scenario. She sends them all for testing first. Just what she did with us. And we wait for hours at that hospital, just for Panadol !! Even the pharmacist couldn't believe it. My daughter needs antibiotics. I have been raising kids for a long time. I know when antibiotics are necessary!!

How long is a fair waiting time to see a doctor with an appointment.

Quiron Salud Hospital in Málaga must do something about the waiting time to see a consultant. I think they do not allow enough time between appointments.
For my last two visits, both in December '22, I had to wait more than two two hours in both cases, despite the fact that I had pre- booked appointments.
To add insult to injury, I have to wait six weeks to have an echograph. SIX WEEKS! That must mean they have a waiting list of more than 100 patients. Is that possible? People can die waiting.
I have been to Quiron in Málaga many times and have always been impressed by their good service, efficiency, staff and care. If this new day-hospital is not going to pull up their socks, they are going to ruin this good reputation.

No appointments for insured

Couldn't get a follow up appointment for my daughter's for her scar treatment. Keep being told appointments are closed, call back next week. This morning I was told there are no more appointments until end of year so we have to now fly to the uk to see a doctor.
Edit - i called to ask for a private appointment (not through insurance company) and they got us an appointment right away!. So with insurance - no appointments. Private - no problem.

Appointment canceled without consent!

I made an appointment using the internet web page.
I received an email confirming my appointment.
On the day of my appointment I checked online only to see I have no appointment.
I called and they confirmed that the front desk canceled my appointment and did not inform me.
I live 70km away from the hospital.

I'm sat down in urgencia with my partner who's had an eye emergency this afternoon and we're still waiting to be seen with no explanation. we gather there's no translation service as the translator left saying her colleague will be here soon. meanwhile there's people being seen who arrived after us and no one is explaining to us what the hold up is. this hospital is a laughing stock and certainly isn't of private standards.
absolutely an abysmal hospital and care centre.
