I had quotes from many companies when my renewal became due but was very pleased with the quote I received through RAC. I now have the policy I wanted at a very competitive premium. I would highly recommend asking RAC for a quote when your renewal becomes due.

The true test will be in a years time. So far, for the last 5 years, I have changed company every year. This is because of increases in price when I have had no claims. Every year I have a better deal from someone else.
Come on RAC prove me wrong this time and I will be a customer next year.

Cheap
Usually cheaper than most for me and you get some good discounts. Never used them for a claim but never had a problem with them.

Renewed car insurance poilcy over the phone. The lady that took the call was very pleasant and professional. The whole process took only a few minutes and the best part was that it was a good few pounds cheaper than last year.

BULLYING and THREATENING ME with COLLECTION AGENCIES even though my debt is on hold
Following my experience where my insurance renewed for 38 days but I had to scrap my car and RAC demand I now pay them £197 (approx) - I made a complaint as I feel that they treat customers unfairly and are not transparent in their communication at all. You are now BULLYING ME and threatening me with COLLECTION AGENCIES
For example, if my year's insurance by DD came to £404 a year (1.11p per day) then why are they not only charging me a cancellation feel of £45, another £45 for intermediary services (so think twice before you sign up for breakdown, extra legal etc - all very basic provision by the way) but £136.04 for insurance, which equates to £3.58 per day.
My 'Debt' has been put on hold until 24.09.26 but today I received 2 demands for payment in full (the person I last spoke to removed the cancellation fee of £45) and they state they will pass the debt to a COLLECTION AGENCY if I do not pay immediately!
As far as I am aware, I was told that my debt was on hold so why am I being sent threatening emails? Also, I made it very clear which email i wanted communication sent to but they have (of course) sent these demands to me via TEXT and the email address I asked not to be used. Well done RAC for your bullying and incompentence.
Your agents have not even asked me if I can afford to pay this amount in one go and your website does not allow me to change payment methods. So me cancelling my Direct Debit as I cannot have this amount drawn on my account - will be seen as refusal to pay. I have not refused to pay what I owe but we are in dispute about how much!
