Note that lowest class of service is selected by default when booking, you need to change to higher class of service manually from the list. If First Class is available for your chosen journey, you can select it during the booking process. Was easy to use the website and order the rail pass. Some other sites did not offer English language option. I like that the site gave you assigned seats based on your preferences.

You sold tickets for trains and routes…

You sold tickets for trains and routes that did not exist when you sold them, did not exist on the dates of travel and will not be restored soon. What should have been a 3 hour ride with one change has become an all day affair on nearly a dozen trains trying to reach a destination I could have just flown to.

A terrible ripoff

A terrible ripoff! You pay for the pass yet you must still pay for tickets, which cost the same if you buy them without a pass. I paid for 1st class yet the trains are all 2nd class open seating.. Lastly, trying to book a ticket through them is a nightmare. I quit trying and easily bought an online ticket elsewhere within a minute.

As an authorized ticket distributor for European rail operators, our website displays the fares, seat reservations, and availability provided by the rail operators in real time.

For rail passes, seat reservations are required on certain trains and the reservation cost itself is set by the rail operator. When booking passholder seat reservations through our website, we only charge a small passholder reservation booking fee per reservation rather than our standard ticket booking fee. We also reviewed the booking you mentioned and found that the Barcelona - Narbonne and Narbonne - Arles journeys were selected and booked in Standard Class as per the booking records. The app does not autocomplete login details, only the website does. Needs better integration with Apple Wallet .

We appreciate your comments about the app experience. Regarding the login details, the app doesn't currently support auto-completing login information as part of our security measures, but we appreciate you highlighting this and will make sure your feedback is shared with the relevant team.

For Apple Wallet, some rail operators don't currently support tickets booked through partner websites in Apple Wallet format. In those cases, you can simply present your e-ticket QR code from the PDF or directly from your Rail Europe account, and it will be fully valid for travel.

Easy to make the bookings

Easy to make the bookings. However unable to see the rail car picture to select the seats. Also some occasion even though selected preferred as window seats no message as not available.

Regarding your window seat preference, we're sorry for the confusion. As an authorized ticket distributor, our website is connected directly to the rail operator's ticketing system, so we can only offer the seats and availability they provide in real time. It's possible that the preferred seats became unavailable (reserved by someone else) while the booking was being processed, depending on how the rail operator's system updates availability.

Process was certainly not smooth

Process was certainly not smooth. After receiving tickets, I didn’t even realize I had purchased second class. If given. a choice, I would have preferred first class. Also, we are a group of seven and six of us are seniors and yet all of us were charged regular prices.
Also, the trip itself was terrible, but that is not your fault. The train from Brussels to Aachen unexpectedly terminated short of the of the destination. It stopped at Maastricht and no explanation was given. And we were not given any help or instructions as to how to proceed. And when we went to the ticketing office we were given bad advice and told to wait for a bus. Unknown to us there was a train that had been designated to replace this last leg of the journey.We were able to make it to Aachen only by Luck, having befriended a local who guided us as to what to do.
