Went to Sky under premise of O2…

Went to Sky under premise of O2 coverage. However, following withdrawal of 2g network, phone does not work in the immediate area.
Contact Sky and sometimes am advised that there is nothing wrong, other times, there is trouble at the Mast.
Issue going on for over 12 months and unlikely to be resolved.
Am currently in hospital as well in another area and network plays up here as well.
Regret moving to Sky.

Terrible network

Terrible network. Poor coverage. There are more occasions than not when I struggle for signal. What’s the point in having data if you can’t use it. Considering buying an EE sim to to put in my Sky contract phone. Says everything you need to know.

Wish I’d read these comments before…

Wish I’d read these comments before trying to arrange an upgrade for my wife. They’ve carried out two hard credit searches against my name, cancelled two orders and eventually sent a phone to the wrong address. Despite being a loyal Sky customer for many years, they have treated me like dirt. Always put through to India to speak with various people who don’t know what to do. Complaints are ignored. They simply don’t care. I’m cancelling the phone and going back to EE. I’d rather pay more than put up with such an awful company.

Multiple SIM customer

I'm so... disappointed in trusting SKY with my boy, I've been with them for years 💔 Now my boy is 13... I took oui just a SIM contact, my SKY APP....WTH... 21st century and they don't see I should have a full management over the "contracts" I'm legally responsible for... but they don't provide the option on SKY APP to manage my SIM to cancel or put any parental controls...?!
I'm sorry SKY... but considering these days Ur falling behind with an IA 🙄😭😂

Changed my credit plan 3 seperate times

Changed my contract length out of the blue with no warning and blatantly lied about my eligibility for credit, offered me a phone for 0 upfront and then told me I had to pay full price for it. I got an iPad on contract from sky mobile and read the agreement thoroughly. Only to find out that 4 days later they changed my contract length from 36 to 48 months out of the blue with zero notifications despite explicitly stating I'll be paying for 36 months. To pair with that obvious breach of contract they also straight up lied about me being able to get a phone at 0 upfront cost and changed said upfront cost from 0, to 60, to making me pay full price for the phone. Wouldn't recommend

My Sky SIM suddenly stop working

My Sky SIM suddenly stopped working, and when checked my settings, it say not registered on network. I bought a new phone but not through Sky in which case it seems they were not happy about it. However, I do still have a SIM contract. They better sort it out pronto as I can't make, receive any calls or texts. And I can't even manage my account on my Sky app as it does ask me to finishing to set up my account before I can use the futures. I have been with them since 2020, and now because I bought a new phone somewhereelse, they stopped my SIM ? they'll better get it sort it ASAP before I take legal action against them. But mostly, they better not steal my 50GB data left in my SIM piggy bank

NEVER MOVE TO SKY!!! Atrocious service

Constantly have issues with data not working, atleast once a day i have to turn my phone on airplane mode just to make it work. I’ve never had issues like this before. I have tried to contact customer help for the data not working, no response was given. i always contacted regarding my bill as I get overcharged DOUBLE my bill that was agreed on every month. Their customer support will not respond to me for hours, then ignore any progress we had made previous to them ghosting me. Absolutely atrocious service. If you gather anything from this post- save yourself any struggle and hassle and move literally anywhere else for broadband.

After a complaint that’s still ongoing…

After a complaint that’s still ongoing and not been resolved although they’ve admitted it’s their fault… Sky have been nothing short of awful getting this sorted. The offshore customer service that Sky have gone with are totally incompetent and when I say incompetent, I mean absolutely on it’s arse incompetent. Really bad!! It used to be amazing but this bunch of charlatans can’t string a sentence together and unless they’re taking a payment it’s a real task. DO NOT GO WITH SKY, save yourself the heartache and about 54 days of time on the phone explaining your query over and over and over again. You’ll probably get hung up on also. RUBBISH!!! Shame on you SKY 👎🏼

SkyMobile has managed to redefine…

SkyMobile has managed to redefine incompetence in a way that’s simply astonishing. After being charged a ludicrous £300 for a two-hour overseas customer care based call to change my number, it’s clear that they’ve engineered their customer care system solely to fleece and frustrate. Their abuse of the CDR process is outrageous—they manipulate governmental procedures to cover up their missteps and then compound the damage by wrecking your credit rating, all without a shred of accountability.

This isn’t just poor service; it’s a masterclass in customer exploitation. SkyMobile’s over-engineered CRM maze makes it virtually impossible to reach a competent customer care agent based in the UK, ensuring you’re trapped in a cycle of automated nonsense. Instead of admitting their glaring faults, they bury themselves in AI investments that do nothing but add to the chaos. The result? A disastrous, unresponsive, and ultimately devious customer service experience.

When you consider that SkyMobile’s “services” are essentially just the O2 network dressed up in expensive packaging—charging £20 a month when comparable alternatives like Lycra Mobile offer similar service for £10—their entire operation reeks of overcharging and indifference. I’d rather shit in my hands and clap than deal with this train wreck of a company.

In short, SkyMobile has not only failed in delivering decent service, but they’ve actively ruined my credit, leaving me with no intention of paying them a penny. I wish them nothing but a terrible existence. If you value your time, money, and dignity, steer clear of SkyMobile.

ROUGE TRADERS STAY AWAY

I only give 1 star for the review they do not deserve it If could give 0 I would.
I am sky customer for several years. I visit one of their sales team at an exhibition show in Central London last week. I approach a SKY SALES team just making enquiry about a mobile device, I explain to him not to do a hard search it was only an enquiry. He
said it was soft search, He ask for my personal details after reassuring me that it was not going to be a hard credit search I agreed, He ask me to download sky sky app. I told him I was not happy to do so in a public wi fi. He ask me for password to my sky account which I did not have or any ID. I only went to visit the show not to buy phone because I am already a sky customer I want to know what they were offering. However I told him to not bother with the search because I was not comfortable and will contact sky at a later date or another provider.

The next day I went to another provider who was offering a better deal than sky. I decide to apply for actual credit. I was declined, I could not understand why. I had no bad credit history report is good.
I went checked my credit report Sky UK Limited has done a hard search lied to me that it was only a soft search which has affected my credit rating and report as a result.
I have logged a complaint to sky about the sales representative conduct at the exibition show in london, all I have got from them is a case reference number some one will call me, I have call them several times only to be put from one department to another and the phone cut off. when I finally hear from them by email is that they have been trying to call me but could not get hold of me and that my case is closed. A LIE.
I advised any one attending the show do not make any enquires about any product or give your details If you do not want it go on your credit report. STAY AWAY FROM THEM THEY ARE LIARS AND SCAMMERS. these are Salesman only their to make a commission by any means necessary if that means being dishonest with unfair trading practice and when you contact sky they do not even acknowledge you. Remember I am a sky Customer. VIP ??
I have report them to trading standards also will take legal action against them for unfair trading practice, and damages.

Do not travel with SKY MOBILE - Inexplicable charges

My daughter went to Mexico and knew she could not use her phone because Sky do not provide Passport Plus there. My daughter was recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes so her phone is critical. She only sent a photo of the number plate of her taxi and one message then stopped (there was no wifi). Got charged £118 for 65Mb data usage (This is only Megabytes not Gigabytes). Their helpdesk cannot justify why it is so outrageously expensive. I will be closing down my 5 Sky family accounts. There is no justification how hey can charge £2 per MB.

Telford store employee

Visited the store in Telford to upgrade my mobile and the employee ordered the wrong phone from what I had asked for. When I asked for it to be cancelled or the order changed to the one I wanted they said they couldn’t which is more like wouldn’t so THEY made a mistake and it’s MY problem. The whole attitude was disgusting. He then tried to get me to just order another so I would be stuck with two phones! Which came across as pushy, doesn’t care at all sales people!

Phone Swap Suspect Behaviour Beware

My daughter has her mobile phone with Sky. They contacted me to say she was as due a swap and asked me the condition of her phone. It was in perfect condition cosmetically and operationally. I was told we’d receive the new phone and we’d then return her current one. Once received back by Sky our phone estimated value would be used the cancel order he old contract.

Some days later I received an email to say damage had been found, nothing specified, and I’d have to pay half of the money back to end contract and trigger the swap . Only because I didn’t want an issue with my daughter’s phone I paid it about 40 something pounds.

When I called to complain I was told because I paid I had no recourse now. They said it was because the phone wouldn’t connect to the computer. What?! Rubbish! It is a total lie.

I then found out that it’s a third party company that does the checks. I wonder whether they are on a commission of some sort?

The whole thing stinks and I simply can’t believe an organisation like Sky would behave like this. I will per-sue however any money recovered will be donated to charity.
