Half capacity and rude phone staff

Ordered batteries from here thinking I was getting a good deal only to find they are actually only half of the designed output, should be 100ah only getting 50. I've spoken to them on the phone and the women seemed to be having a breakdown, after trying multiple time to contact them again we have had no choice but to leave this feedback to make sure anyone else does not get scammed by this terrible company.

Good Quality

Received the batteries quickly and they were well protected.
Excellent results after fitting them, I had issues with some other batteries I tried.these batteries are doing the job they're meant for, and that gives peace of mind whilst my wife is out and about on her mobility scooter.

Where do I start with SLK Mobility Ltd there is a company that sells on eBay & Amazon but here comes the bad news I bought a set of 2 Batteries from SLK Mobility Ltd. In May 2023, all was fine until October when I found the battery range was doing about 5 miles. then less & less until I had the batteries tested & the cycle was dropped then a report was issued by the shop & both batteries where sent back after a few days another set turned up now i know that when not in use 12v lead batteries need to be kept on charge the batteries where 12v 75AMH which are for distance traveling as the winter months came in I kept the batteries with the scooter at all time & to avoid frost getting to the sells I carpeted the shed & even put polystyrene around the batteries as to look after them in between October to January i used the scooter to just go to the supermarket & home & put the scooter on charge. In March i went out less than 1 mile & the scooter came to a halt in the middle of the road i knew i was in big trouble as a car was coming towards me I really fault my life ended here the woman driver slammed the on her brakes I looked at her face how she missed me I really must have had a Angle on my shoulder that day the driver ended up on the pavement she was in shock & so was I the Police pushed me over the road & went & saw the lady she was shaking but we sat & spoke the Police said the scooter is not to be used until its been picked up by a dealer & the fault was found so I contacted SLK Mobility Ltd why they never contacting me after leaving a complaint I heard nothing there a way of dealing with customer complaints is give bull sxxt & then the warranty runs out so the batteries have been examined by to mobility shops both batteries where dropped then recharged & to my horror one was reading 21% & the other 22%. so I have contacted the company again & again with such poor customer service its a joke. As this has happened I have decided to review a claim by PayPal & if nothing happens then a credit card claim failing this is a summons to the small claims court even if I have to spend thousands taking action against SLK Mobility Ltd. So I strongly recommend you avoid SLK batteries they may be cheaper but if you have to go through what I have spent an extra £100 at your local shop then if the warranties are needed you will not have to go far to sort the matter. I really hope the company sorts my issue out but I don't hold out much luck on that one BUY LOCAL I will be asking eBay to look into my complaint I will be leaving reviews on Facebook & Google on Monday. I spoke to a dealer today & they told me an interesting fact about SLK Mobility Ltd they pulse the cells & the batteries can be at least 3 years old & are revamped polished then shrink-wrapped to the disabled person receiving them they look like new but fail when the cells in the battery with no charge & is all downhill from then on. I wish anyone who does not take my advice as soon as trading standards are involved would update Trustpilot as all my reviews are honest & are in no way pointed at any individual it is pointed at the management & the brand itself. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED & if I could have left a 0/0 score I would have.
The batteries were shrunk-wrapped i have 2 witnesses who opened them when they fitted them it was on your eBay site under premiredvds2003 #271527886004 So stop lying as this is now a matter of the courts to settle as you have no customer services who respond without trying to get out of the issue. In my life, I've only ever found MPs who would avoid dealing with the truth, but I must say you beat it. I've waited months for you to send a return label & you did nothing. I consider you look into the issue & sort the matter out before it leads to further action. refund or an offer is the only thing left to say.

Hello we cannot find an order for the name given. Our batteries come with a 12 month warranty as long as batteries have been charged correctly. We only sell new batteries, our batteries do not come as shrink-wrapped as mentioned.

If only I had read your reviews

I am the disabled man mentioned in a recent review posted by my daughter. When I first ordered the two mobility scooter batteries the service and delivery was second to none ( of which most of your good reviews are based on ) My problem is the aftercare service and lack of understanding for the problems it presents the disabled person with.
By without going into all of that my one question is (which you decided to ignore in your response to my daughter) did your company follow its own procedures and not order a courier collection until you had confirmation from the customer that the goods were boxed and ready for collection before you booked the courier collection .
Please understand that disabled people would not say that the batteries have a problem if they didn’t we just want them to work properly
Okay you have now lost another customer from which I was sure at one stage was a very professional company and maybe Charlotte needs to attend some customer service training and maybe listen to the tutor this time

We arranged for courier to collect the batteries in conjunction with the customer. You were advised to place the heavy batteries into boxes. Courier arrived as promised but could not take batteries as they were in bags. This is not secure packaging. You can return the batteries to us for testing. Please ensure all of your details are inside the box.

Extremely poor service….. AVOID!

We purchased x2 batteries for my father’s mobility scooter which started to lose power very quick resulting in low mileage use. We called and explained, the lady arranged collection from a courier but wasnt clear on packaging instructions, so when the courier turned up, he said he was unable to take the batteries and that he would come back the next day. My dad then went and purchased appropriate boxes at a cost .This didn’t happen so we called to explain we spoke to a so-called manager called Charlotte who was extremely rude extremely unprofessional and also extremely unhelpful. I explain to her that my dad is very unwell Man and this was all upsetting him trying to sort all of this out but getting no help from SLK,
Charlotte told us that it is our job to get them returned. I explained that these batteries are extremely heavy and that to please remember she is dealing with a disabled man. Who in the meantime of all this will be without his mobility scooter and unable to attend hospital appointments . She did not seem to care about this. She told us more or less this is our own problem and was very unhelpful.. SLK have a procedure, where the courier isn’t sent to collect the batteries until confirmation is received that the batteries are boxed and ready for collection. SLK openly admit that this procedure wasn’t followed, but still refused to be of any help. After doing some research, it is very clear alot of people are not happy with this company for the same reasons. And I am hoping that trust pilot will look into this and act accordingly as they shouldn’t be approved trustpilot.
As from the response this is absolutely untrue, and if SLK themselves would like to check ALOT of reviews over numerous social media they are clearly providing a very poor service as a lot of the reviews are all complaining about the same thing and funnily enough about the same person (Chatlotte). No instructions was ever given, and the batteries were not put into bags? If I could ask that SLK respectfully would be honest about these things. Thank you

Hello we sent your father instructions on packaging the batteries and arranged courier to collect batteries to be tested. Parcelforce arrived to collect heavy batteries which were in bags. Of course Parcelforce cannot take batteries in a bag. We have paid the courier £40 already so rightly so the return of batteries is now down to the customer. We have also gone through telephone recordings, our staff were polite at all times even though the customers daughter was screaming down the phone. We have 1,000’s of happy customers and provide a very good service. Unfortunately you cannot send two very heavy batteries in a lightweight bag.

This company is totally useless.!!

This company is totally useless.!!! Their main concern is getting your money then dumping you. They provide a contact phone number which is never never answered and when asked to leave a message it is never listened to. Their e-mail address is also useless.I Had accidentally double ordered "my fault" £200 batteries cost me £400. So I thought I could send the mistaken order still boxed and unopened back and obviously pay a penalty but getting to speak to someone is a nightmare and totally impossible.!!! plus no reply to my repeated e-mails. Although they imply returns are acceptable and a penalty plus p/p will be imposed. They intentionally make sure that it is impossible to proceed down that road. They intentionally provide no customer help whatsoever. !! They are the worst company I have ever had to deal with in my 75 years.They are totally motivated to get your cash then dump you. BE WARNED!!!!! Stay well away.!!!!!!

Integrity and honesty in business.

Twice in 2 years have needed to put the company’s product guarantee to the test and twice the company has been true to their word and swiftly replaced the products. A truly honest and professional company primarily concerned about their customers. I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking to purchase any products within their field. Superb.

Very poor company

I got two new batteries from this company before the year was up the batteries deteriorated. They said they would collect them and test them. Of course they showed 12 V on a test but when they’re actually under load on a scooter being used up a slight hill or inclined with the weight of the scooter plus the human the batteries fade and hardly get up the hill, they are faulty the company will not have it and now they want to charge me £30 to return my faulty batteries scammers avoid very bad experience will not honour there warrantee do not buy from this company

If you do you have been warned of the inferior quality of goods and customer service and support

Hello batteries have a 12 month warranty as long as they’re charged correctly. We do not just check voltage, our testing equipment puts the battery under load to give the percentage of battery capacity.

I been trying to solve a simple matter…

I been trying to solve a simple matter with this company.here is what happened I sent away to slk for 2 np50 12 batteries at a cost of £142 for two batteries on 1/11/2023. They came with a 12 months guarantee. I notified slk by a phone call was told to box up and send back came next day to pick up Great service that way. I have proved we're sent back by sending tracking details. Was told be tested left for a few days I rang them again . The customer service person I spoke to put phone down me I sent approx 5 to 6 messages iv still had no reply via ebay the person who I have bought batteries for is 80 years old she not able to go out due to slk having her battery or even honored there 12 months guarantee. We are now having to go to trade and standards to try get this resolved. I have bought lots of batteries from slk . I own a company I will not be buying no more if this is way they treat there customers keep well away unless you want to go through this trouble if you come to have a problem. The fault of the batteries is will not fully charge doing 1 mile then scooter batteries are dead disgusted by way ebay and slk work ebay only help if less than 30 days so ebay account will be closed once trade and stands solve this. Slk will be named and shame even more by the family who they not being fair to.
