ihave no technical knowledge. i asked this business to set up a new computer. they did that in 1 day. they treated me very courtiously and did not make me feel bad about my lack of knowledge, very helpful and a very good job. thankyou

Made a phone call at around 9am to speak to someone about a problem with my laptop, very helpful gentleman said bring it in to then shop and we can look at it, took it into the shop and checked it out it soon became clear that it was so old that it would need so much new software it would not be cost effective so after discussion i decided to purchase a new laptop.
When i purchased the new one they said that they would transfer every thing over to the new one, around 5 hours later i had a call from them that it is ready for collection, when i collected they told me that they had put a anti virus on it at no extra cost and also took the time to run through the new way the system operates.
Could not fault them would recommend them to anyone who may have computer problems.

This was my first ever visit to Smart Computers (SC): being local could be a great advantage. I intended to buy an off the shelf pc to replace my aging and soon to be obsolete pc. But SC suggested that I could get some more features for my money via a bespoke pc, to be assembled by SC. Proceeded down that route: swiftly and efficiently done, including full data transfer. New machine works smoothly and very well (so far). Dealt with two members of staff: quiet, knowledgeable and helpful.

Great service replaced hard drive in my grandsons Xbox. Went the extra mile and asked us to go back for help that my grandson needed. They walked him through everything he needed to know and actually did it in the shop with him. 5*

Went in with a laptop that had died and it was decided to purchase a replacement laptop as the old one was very old. Had a phone call after 2 days and the new laptop had been loaded with all the files from my old computer. They showed me how everything worked and also a new monitor which was plug and play 1st class service and would recommend to all very helpful.

Im extremely happy with the advice given and upgrade completed - so much so, I'm getting them to upgrade a second component next week.

They support you at the level that is appropriate to the customer, so you never feel patronised. Costs are explained well and alternatives are discussed. They remember what you have told them about your needs and do not oversell products. It felt like good old fashioned good service. They did not want to prove to the world how clever they are. Their Mums should be proud of them!

Andrew is the member of staff who dealt with my enquiry on two occasions. The first time I was making a general enquiry as I'd been recommended Smart Computers by my neighbours. He was patient, knowledgeable and informative. My smallest questions he took seriously and at no time did I feel foolish for asking. The work on my (not that old) laptop has put my mind at rest - Norton was installed on two devices, I bought an automatic back-up drive and an extra 4GB was installed - for a very reasonable price. Had to datawipe a laptop. Booked in quickly and was ready in less than 48hrs. Staff there are very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Great to still be able to go to an independent shop.

My Grandsons PC was not working, so I decided to get it repaired at Smart Computers as they have helped with smaller items in the past. It was to take a week, but they called me, told me what was wrong and the cost so I gave them the go ahead and it was ready in a few days. Good job guy's!

Adam did a great job saving my programs and files which I hadn't fully backed up when my hard drive began to fail. A great relief!

Friendly staff, have provided information where the issue with my laptop was coming from at a decent price. The problem was fixed earlier than expected and as a plus some updates were run on my computer. Definitely recommend! Thank you Team!

Contacted Smart Computers to get a price to fix a laptop screen. Prompt response with estimate. Staff very helpful and service/repair was prompt. Would recommend

Well the pc had a bad configuration error, ended up with a corrupt win10 that couldn’t be sorted, googled pc repair in my area and these guys came up, quick phoned on a Thursday morning to ask if I could drop pc on sat morning for them to look at, asked for a reinstall of win10 and wipe all my drives, a few hours later they phoned up and said all done and a bonus they got win11 on there for me, can’t thank these guys enough for the speedy turn around 5star! Also will be dropping pc back in the new year for a few little mods :) ….. Jay

Staff were very helpful and obliging. As an older person it is very difficult to ask for help if you don’t understand much about computers. Staff were willing to explain, advise and answer my questions if I didn’t understand something. I felt very at ease and able to ask questions and not feel stupid. I will not hesitate to use Smart computers in future.

My first visit to Smart Computers. My Personal Computer had failed to restart after an update. This was quickly diagnosed with a hard drive failure, thankfully though they had retrieved my data even though this is not always possible. I considered various options and ended up buying a refurbished laptop from them. They reloaded my data, including photos, word and excel files. I was very impressed with the service. I recommend them and will certainly use them again.
