Heavy overselling
They are heavily overselling their servers. To the point that it's actually 65x slower (can barely get 500 events per seconds within 15 seconds span) than the competitor VPS (where I can get 33000+ events per sec within 15 second span).
Bought a 3 year plan - don't do that mistake. When you contact them, they will move you to another, slightly less oversold machine, but still oversold to the point that it falls behind.
To add more - imagine you purchase a "Performance" server in 2025. You get performance worse than 15 year old desktop PC.
NVMe disk with speeds worse or equal to regular HDD.
If that's not a scam - I don't know how else to call it.
SSD Nodes for small SaaS backend
I’ve been using SSD Nodes to host a small SaaS backend app, and so far it has been a very solid experience.
The main strength is the value for money. They offer powerful virtual machines at very affordable prices, which makes them a great option for server hosting, especially for smaller apps or independent projects where keeping infrastructure costs under control matters.
Reliability has also been excellent in my experience. Everything has worked as expected, and I haven’t had any issues that required intervention. Because of that, I can’t really rate their support yet — I simply haven’t needed to contact them.
Another thing I appreciate is that SSD Nodes keeps the offer straightforward. They don’t bloat the product with lots of unnecessary extra services. Instead, they focus on providing strong VM hosting at a competitive price, which is exactly what I need for running backend services.
Overall, SSD Nodes has been a reliable, affordable, and practical hosting provider for my use case.

You Get What You Pay For
Purchased the top of the line VPS and immediately experienced issues. Submitted a ticket and they asserted I violated their terms by crypto minning so they throttled my server. That was an egregiously false accusation on SSD Nodes part. The 12vPU 48GB 728GB vps was a 900 dollar waste of money. I think the constant sales are a sign that they care less about quality and are in money grab mode. If they get you to foolishly purchase a three year server they have you locked in. The Old Lesson I have Not Learned Yet: You Get What You Pay For.

I recently requested a server upgrade…
I recently requested a server upgrade (Ssdnodes).com, but before completing
the payment, I decided not to proceed with the upgrade. Instead, I wanted
to keep my existing server and purchase an additional one.
However, despite the upgrade never taking place, my original server was
terminated for over a month now — even though it has already been paid for in advance for the
next three years. This means I’ve lost access to a fully paid server for an
upgrade that was never executed.
I kindly requested that my original server be reinstated immediately, as I
only intended to explore the upgrade — not to lose my active server. I
still wish to keep my old server and do not need the upgrade.
It feels as though I have been penalized for an intention, not an action,
My server is: Performance 48GB RAM (720GB NVMe)
their vps is not 100% ssd NVMe
Great and cheap
Im a user of SSD nodes since 4 years ago with one or two standart VPS in Atlanta Datacenter, I dont have it any major issue, for web hosting, database, voip server and file server. Price is very very competitive.

Verry Slow performance
I purchase SSDNODES Performance VPS with specs:
12x Intel Silver CPU
64GB Ram
1.2 TB NVMe
Running very super slow on 1 website, and not worth with 216 USD
Worst experience ever
I signed up for an account and noticed multiple issues immediately. My account was flagged as fraudulent, even though I provided genuine information, including my full address and contact details. It feels like they're acting more like judges in a courtroom than a cloud service provider. They could have used terms like "under review" or "high risk," but instead, they chose to label it as fraud. That says a lot about how they operate. Imagine the kind of service they’re going to provide.
Data vanished like smoke in the wind - SSD Nodes Incompetence!
Want your data to disappear faster than a magician’s rabbit? Use SSD Nodes!
Their ‘backup’ is storing a copy next to the original—then setting both on fire. 10/10 for incompetence. My 15 years of hard work, serving Christians and Muslims around the world with articles they can relate with, gone overnight. A website visited regularly from every continent, Singapore, China, USA, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, South Africa, Mexico, Russia, Australia, UAE, Poland, Italy, Germany, Turkey, Ukraine, Bulgaria, and so many over 100 nations around the world. It has helped many with suicidal thoughts, personal challenges and health problems - I have emails to prove this!
SSD Nodes have been unhelpful in getting it back, they have behaved as if it was nothing and normal to destroy people's websites and ignore them. Worse still, friends who had business websites on their server had their businesses wiped out, and Matt Conor and his team have done nothing to help them either. So, if you want your data to melt away like snow in July - SSD Nodes is the right choice!
Value for money
We have multiple VPS with them, and most of them are running smooth for about 2 years. In our experience their support is prompt. However they do go have occasional downtimes, and when that happens it can be very frustrating. Compare this to for example Linode, that we use, where in almost 7 years we've experienced close to zero downtime. However they offer much more value for money.
I recommend if you take multiple VPS in different locations and create back-ups, you will be ok.
Price - 10/10
Support - 9/10
Reliability - 7/10
Their dashboard/management interface - 6/10 (very slow)
VPS Quality (Response times etc.) - 7/10

Last experience
Last experience: I just added a comment on thier article about Nested Virtualization Add-on which wasn't visible in my account. In less than 2 hours, I get reply to my comment that it will be taken with their support. In less than 24 hours, support ticket created, issue resolved and solution follow-up received in my email.
Overall Experience: I had been a client for SSD Nodes for more than 3 years. They provide high performance VPS with very good prices. During those 3+ years, I never reported 1 issue to there support.
