DO NOT USE STONEPOINT! I should've just paid everything off myself. By the end of the program I spent just as much money, and my credit is trashed because StonePoint never finished paying my last debt.

Hired Stonepoint Legal Group for debt consolidation. Paid them 700 dollars a month for 26 months. 2 years after graduating from their program I got served a summons to appear in Superior court for a debt Stonepoint Legal Group was paid to settle.
Needless to say I had to hire another attorney to get it settled and then found out Stonepoint didn't even take care of 1/4 of what was agreed to contractually. I don't recommend this group to anyone.

If this isnt fraud I dont know the meaning.
Signed up with these clowns 3 years ago they told me they would negotiate with the debtors and get a better resolution. Dont believe it for a second. They do not have their clients best interest in their minds. The only thing they are thinking of is getting their money. Bait and switch. They exemplify the meaning.

This so called business is a scam. They will nickle and dime you and provide with the worst customer service. They lack communication and are programmed to give you the run around. For 5 weeks now I have been trying to speak to someone regarding a summons I received from one of my creditors. I have asked repeatedly to speak to a manager, I have a filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be seeking legally representation for breach of contract. Stay away from Stonepoint.66 complaints this year on the BBB site. Has anyone looked into filing a complaint with the Attorney General or a Class Action suit? Surely this cannot be legal and they need to be prevented from harming others.

My wife and I signed a contract with Stonepoint in 2018 and like many others we were not satisfied. We also had to pad a creditor off the contact so we wouldn’t be sued. We got some money together and paid off our obligations early yet they are still drafting payments our of our account. I have never been treated so badly and unprofessionally. There is no communication and Stonepoint seems to be very unorganized. I’ve tried calling to dispute this but no one answers. We are fair people and understanding to a point.
Will we get our money back? Doubtful!
Please don’t do business with this company, you will be in worse shape if you do.

The concept seems great, until you call multiple times and cannot speak with a person who will speak to your about your account, funds, and how to get a settlement. I'm getting more communication with the creditors. Seems like a shady company and too late to get out.

For 9 months from August 2020 until now, $819.77 monthly payments have been given to Stonepoint to settle two debts. As soon as I receive the letter for the Creditor's lawyer, I send it to Stonepoint and I make phone calls. There was no response and no phone calls. Stonepoint deducts monthly payments from my bank account but doesn't negotiate or repay two debts during these 9 months. If the Debt Settlement program doesn't work out as agreed by Stonepoint, I want to get all my money back. Please resolve as soon as possible. Creditors are ready to sue. I don't want to go to court.

I had stonepoint negotiate a credit card debt for me, I payed them on time every single month for 2 years. In February of this year I asked for a lump sum payoff amount, they told me how much and I payed it on March 6th. When I payed it the person on the phone said it would be done in 5 business days, I called the following week and was told it would be another week, I called the following week and was told it would go through with my regular payment on the 22nd. When it was not payed again I called and was told none of that was true and they needed an authorization from the creditor first, so I called the creditor and was told they had never been contacted for this, (this is over a month later). Called stonepoint back and was told there was a problem but they had corrected it and it would only be one more week (see the pattern here?) this continued for 2 and a half MONTHS. Today I told them I wanted my money back and out of their “program”. I was told that while the money in my GCS account would be refunded in 7-10 business days, they would not issue a refund for their services under any circumstances. These people are dishonest and should NOT be used by anyone. They also charge 6 times the industry rate for this “service”... do not waste your time with these people.

I have been in a consolidation contract with Stonepoint for about 3 years. Recently, over the past 2 weeks, I have gotten sued by one of my creditors and received 3 letters that I am not making payments. This is the exact reason I signed up with Stonepoint, for assistance with creditors. I pay about $600 a month and it seems they are not assisting with my consolidation but rather am making this issue worse. I am now looking at having my paycheck garnished. I have called every day for a couple weeks, emailed numerous times and even messaged through facebook, but no response!!!

My husband an I have been in this program since April of 2019. We pay $800/month. They have a payment plan with 2 of my creditors, we have been served 3 times (I have faxed all correspondences to them), have been garnished twice, have a lien on our home, and have paid two creditors on our own.
They have had several excuses- the papers for the court hearing were “out of order”. We are sorry- the litigation department will address it immediately.
They have never shown up to represent me in court, they don’t return calls and We have minimal funds in the account that We pay $800 every month. For 2 years.
I will be filing a complaint with the BBB, who has revoked their accreditation of this company just last month.
I want out of this contract and my fees all returned to me.
Prior to entering into this contract, We had no late payments, now we are being garnished again, have a lien on our home and still paying them $800/month

Stone Point is in the long term business of milking their clients. I made a very substantial contribution to my account with the explicit instructions that they were to pay off all of my remaining debts using that money and they refused. They are in possession I'm over $13,000 of my money that was deposited with the specific purpose of clearing my debts. They have had that money for over a month and done absolutely nothing with it. I've called them repeatedly, I emailed them repeatedly. Bottom line, I'm the customer who gave them the money to clear the debts and they are refusing to respond in a fair reasonable and prudent time frame. It appears that they are just dragging this on so they can collect more fees from me.

Everyone I have talked to have been extremely polite and nice. There has been some success with some of my creditors, but the one that is the largest and has filed a lawsuit has not been handled, or communicated well. Unfortunately I have had to hire a local attorney to represent me, due to nobody even filing an appearance on my behalf like I was told would happen. So, nearly 3 months after the lawsuit was filed, I was finally told the large amount of money it would take to resolve it. I realize the dept is my fault, but I was told it would be handled, and it was not. All that said, once I called back to Stonepoint this morning and told them I hired an attorney, and wanted to remove the large account from them, they did adjust my monthly payment to a lower amount. Again, my complaint is because the lack of realistic communication, and doing what I was told they would do. I appreciate the monthly payment being adjusted, I am hopeful that my remaining accounts with them, can be handled as I was promised.

Been paying StonePoint for a year. Just got served papers saying I am being sued. None of my creditors were ever contacted by Stonepoint. Sent Stonepoint a dozen e-mails this week with no response. The 'CUSTOMER PORTAL" where I check my status, accounts, payments, etc. is "down" and won’t allow me to access. The phone number for Stonepoint, I called a dozen times and put on hold as 18th caller and never answered. I left a “call back” every time and never received a call back. The attorney handling my case says she no longer works there and has no idea who I can call. This week I get phone calls every day as my creditors are lining up to sue me and Stonepoint appears to have vanished. I pay $500 a month for what?????

I get the same canned responses and the same answers every time I call some of my settlement have been for more then the amount that was owed when I enter the program. This has been one of the worst experiences ever and would not recommend this to anyone!!!

Stonepoint Legal Group is working diligently to making my wife and I debt free. We have complete and udder trust in this company. So far we are very happy with all they have done for us so far. 😊

Maybe it's still just a few minutes since the call but I am very upset about the decision not to allow my Bank of America account to be added to the program. I was told that it's because my name is listed second below the business name. This is one of the reasons I chose StonePoint to help me. With the amount on the account (nearly 14K), I have to pay over $300 per month just to stay even. I am willing to drop this account to try and get my head above water. I haven't made the last 2 payments to them and now they want $700 plus to get even. Very disappointing.

I was not sure if i did my Google voice right? The lady answered all my questions and i did it right she said.
