No guarantee you get your money back…
No guarantee you get your money back once you returned your wrong sized items, I've been pretty much ignored by Ebay team after I returned the items. Horrible customer service!
Poor customer service
Ebay runs a promotion on gumtree which promises 2 free insertion and final value fees per month. I qualified for the sale and sold some items on ebay. To my disappointment I was then charged the full ebay fees which weren’t cheap. I contacted the ebay customer service who was friendly and they assured me that I indeed qualified for the promotion and that I would be refunded within 15 days. However, no refund after 15 days. Long story short I contacted the ebay customer service another two times I was promised a refund soon each time but never received it. It’s been almost two months since I sold the items, and it appears that ebay has no intention of refunding me but only delays things further with false promises. Believing ebay promotions or having to deal with their customer service can end up as a waste of time. It is sad for the ebay platform but luckily, we have good alternatives as well.
EBAY FRAUD AGAIN
Bought a product on ebay, they said they would let me know when it had been posted, the money went from my bank, no contact from seller and ebay impossible to contact. this is my third fraud in a row with ebay. This does not even appear on my purchase record. SO SICK OF EBAY HAVE NOW CANCELLED MY ACCOUNT. What a pack of scammers!!! Details are:
SKU: Model: Upper+Lower teeth
Total: AU $18.85
Order number: 06-07106-63226
Item ID: 283566661610

Be aware ebay will not protect your sle I had a sheet arrive cut from happy sheet 2019 store nd ebay closed the case this store kept trying to get me to send my paypal account
Absolutely awful. Sellers, avoid using eBay. No support, and policies only get worse over time.
I have been a seller on eBay for over 5 years, and it has been getting progressively worse in that time.
With over 17,000 orders, I now plan on closing my eBay store entirely once I run out of existing stock I'm holding, because of eBay's terrible management.
Today, eBay refunded a buyer who had opened an item not received case - even though they had since received the item! The INR case was automatically escalated and automatically refunded because eBay's unintelligent website design wouldn't recognise the tracking number updates... even though the Australia Post website CLEARLY shows it has been delivered.
I have to waste my time appealing a decision made by a robot, and deal with the stress and frustration of doing everything right and still having money stolen from my account and no guarantees of being able to get it back. Ebay's customer support is useless and they will waste your time.
This is the final straw. I am done being forced into inferior programs like Managed Payments that eBay forced on all sellers to increase their profit margins at our expense. I am done with all the terrible changes eBay have made over the years trying to force small scale sellers to compete with the customer service speed and express postage options of a multinational company like Amazon.
Face it eBay, you will never compete with Amazon. It's a different business model. Small scale sellers shipping from all over the country CANNOT compete with shipping/express costs a central warehouse like Amazon has, how do you not understand this? All you are doing is alienating your core users and those who choose to use eBay because it is different.
eBay is a dying business, and every decision they make is another nail in the coffin.
The day I run out of items to sell and can log off the website for good will be a happy one.
I would never use eBay as a buyer out of principle because of all the things they have put me through over the years.
Ebay, Not What it Once Was!!!
I've made many purchases and can vouch that Ebay is not what it once was. Too many scammers are using Ebay and subsequently their 'seller ratings' are being protected by Ebay. Items not as described, knock-offs, inflated prices and ridiculous shipping fees. It's becoming a hassle, scrolling through the garbage to find the desirable product. I have many fond memories of shopping on eBay, but sadly, those days are coming to a close!

eBay is becoming disgusting and unruly
eBay is becoming disgusting and unruly. Now you can’t leave negative feedback for Chinese sellers who sells loads of garbage on eBay that cannot be used. They call them ‘qualified sellers’ and can’t leave neutral or negative feedback. So they encourage these scammers to earn money by lying to people offering products that they don’t have. eBay protects them!
Further to my previous review regarding…
Further to my previous review regarding ebay, when my purchase turned out to be a case of incompetence by the seller and the seller refunded my purchase amount, ebay asked me to modify my negative comment. I did not do so. I note in my ebay account it says "Leaving honest comments about a particular eBay member gives other Community members a good idea of what to expect when dealing with that member. Once it's left, Feedback becomes a permanent part of the member's Feedback Profile" .
My negative comment about the seller has been removed and it did not contain any offensive language etc.
After leaving my comments about ebay on this forum I received an email from ebay offering a $10 voucher. This is after numerous other ebay staff had told me I was not receiving anything. Really questions what is happening within the global organisation.
Good for buying only.
Good for buying only.
You can get cheap things here in a reasonable amount of time depending on where you live.
But its a total rip-off when it comes to selling. I think they take around 15% which is way too much.
Do not buy or sell using eBay
Do not buy or sell using eBay! I've had nothing but issues with this so called company. They cancelled many of my orders then hid the order, as I understand it, in efforts to stop me from claiming an unrecived item refund. They overcharged me seller fees every month, they debit money from my bank account inconsistent with their invoice, which was inconsistent with the online account section. After pointing out there accounting discrepancies, which went on for over one year in 2019 they manipulated seller metrics before suspending my PowerSeller status, barring me from selling. They're a bunch of money hungry dishonest criminals that deserve to be locked up and never to be let out!
Doesn't want to work with legitimate…
Doesn't want to work with legitimate Australian business', only shady Chinese fraudsters.
Buyer be aware and sellers stay away.
much better than aliexpress
Ebay actually care about their customers putting in place systems and policies towards making sure that sellers also care opposed to aliexpress... basically on aliexpress you can review your seller only during a small period of time that in most cases will end before you actually receive your goods and if you have a problem sellers on aliexpress will normally not give a f*** about you and your problem which is completely the opposite with Ebay.
Conclusion want to be safe when buying anything online? Go to Ebay.
Want to experience scams and poor customers service from sellers? Go to Aliexpress.
Seller’s hell, scammer’s heaven
If you happen to be a seller on eBay, welcome to hell. Buyers’ protection mean that when the buyer falsely files an Item Not as Described or Item as Faulty claim, you will be forced to accept a return and risking either 1) being scammed by receiving a swapped/tampered item or 2) pay postage out of your pocket and realise that the buyer had buyers’ remorse. Not to mention that reporting any buyer wouldn’t do anything as eBay customer service will tell you to consider this as a risk for selling online. Looking to do online trading? Go to Amazon!
Honestly I have buying products on eBay…
Honestly I have buying products on eBay for decades , the amount of money I’ve spent on there I could of paid off a house , they have slowly changed over recent years and they change their rules to suit them . The money I think I’ve saved over the years I’ve been stung by their shonky sellers who I sense are run and sponsored by eBay . I have too many bad stories of recent to bring one up , never again . And I have told all my friends and families to delete their accounts too , Amazon are way more better company to deal with and treat their customers with respect
Ebay Australia has to one of the worst places to buy & sell on !!
Ebay Australia has to one of the worst selling & buying experiences you can have these days. You get ripped off, rorted, lied too and so on. Then when you contact the eBay customer service team / members, they don't give a toss & treat you like a clown. It used to be a good place to trade on, now it's just nothing but bullshi* & lies. Also the feedback system, absolutely forget it, everytime you leave a negative or neutral comment for pis* poor service, the dickhea* ebay customer service team just remove it. So you don't even know if you are buying from an honest seller anymore, you just getting fuc*en ripped of by pric*s !!
Overall great platform
I've been an ebay user for many years. Whilst it could be better, it's the number 1 online auction market place.
If only they weren't so expensive with their fees and then doubling up on Paypal fees..... I try to avoid selling valuable items on there for this reason.
Low Quality Customer Support
As is the case with any online market, there's bound to be some bad sellers. That much is out of Ebay's control, and whilst I've encountered plenty, that's not why I write this review.
What's simply unacceptable is its customer support. With all due respect, but communicating with agents whose English isn't their first language isn't the most enjoyable experience in the world. Ignoring grammatical and punctuation issues, the agents are simply far too inconsistent and unreliable. Always contact Ebay customer support more than once for the same issue, because the second agent will almost always have a different answer than the first. It's quite evident that some of these agents have no idea what they're talking about either, and often times you could actually be fed misinformation, which is why it's crucial to contact support more than once, especially if the first answer you received is unsatisfactory. Ultimately, if none of the agents are satisfactory, aim for online forums. Whilst it does mean you probably have to sign up to their website, at least you'll be able to have an easier time with communication.
It's a shame that Ebay/Ebay Australia is happy with using inexperienced agents for their customer support, as I'm sure the agents has had little training themselves, which is probably why they're so poor in quality. Unfortunately, as is the case with most major companies, Ebay's customer support will probably never receive the improvements that it so desperately needs.

Good value for money and great selection of products- some hard to find items just appear on this website.
Always read product into twice so you actually know what you are buying. Would recommend all the time and always receive my orders before the delivery date given.
