A big scam

A big scam. Company declared bankruptcy. Thousands of people like myself lost all their money by paying when ordering bikes in early 2022. First they claimed corona delays, then the war in Ukraine. You name it. Then they went silent and 9 months later declared bankruptcy, I lost more than 3000 Euros as I had paid for two E-bikes when I ordered them in May 2022.
And Indiegogo who supported and spread the scam isn't any better than Stroem. Left us investors stranded and kept promoting Stroem even when the scam became obvious.

Don’t buy before reading terrible company

What a terrible company. The quality of the bikes we got was terrible and service of there helpdesk is horrible. Please don’t buy from them, how ever good is sounds. They are scammers !!!

We orders 2 bikes (for myself and my wife). My wife’s bike arrived broken, so would not work. So contacted the helpdesk. After many tries and excuses for 2 years we still got no replacement parts or help. So guess how often we could ride the bicycle?

Btw; she even didn’t got her basket. Which we also ordered but never got.

We thought in beginnen they are a startup, things happens. So gave them slack. But this goes against every bit sense.

My bike arrived okay. There were some issues, but still could drive the bike. But after a couple of months, the steering, brakes, panel under the bike and gears started breaking down one by one. Brought it to a service shop for bikes. The guys first opinion after the checkup was, what a terrible quality of a bike. Fixing would cost me 320 euros :(
He advised me even not to fix it. But just buy a different bike.
But me being stupid and naive thought, it’s still a nice looking bike, the bad luck would stop eventual right??? But the joy did not last long. After a couple of months other parts started breaking up, the electronics completely stopped working at a certain moment. So no assist, but a heavy bike with no assist. So driving it is pointless.

We gave up on reaching out to Strom bikes. Because they always promise you something, but you get nothing.

So today we brought both bikes to the recycle dump. There went 2500+ euros and some bad memories.
This is the reason we wrote this review.

So even if you think of buying it after reading this all. Good luck and maybe god be with you.

Just would like an answer

Like many others, I placed an order for my bike in May of 2022 with an estimated delivery date of August 2022. Delays came which I understand but here it is October of 2023 and still not bike and no update since May of 2023. Any word from the company would be helpful even if they tell us we will never see our bikes. I ordered through Indiegogo but others ordered direct and the same issue. I'm just looking for answers and any response!

RUG-PULL BUSINESS PRACTICES. Bad!!!

Everything seemed so far okay. Received my bike, all was (relatively, as parts are still missing) good.

Then, one day. The bike doesnt work anymore. I don't know why, so I contact the service. They reply, asking me to send pictures. I do. They decide, the display is not working and needs to be replaced. Fine for me. They want to send the new display.

Ever since (and that is soon one year ago) I try to get this spare part. While in the beginning, they were giving me all kinds of excuses (incl. accusing the delivery people), now they have turned completely silent. No chance to reach someone.

I'd say it's a half rug-pull. They sold stuff they can not deliver on and now ghost everyone with a problem.

DONT BUY ANYTHING WITH THEM

STAY AWAY! Not able to deliver!!!

I ordered my bike in May 2022 and it was supposed to be delivered in August 2022. Today (May 2023) I am receiving another email with another push-out of the delivery date (now supposed to be August/September 2023, i.e. 1 full year later than planned). Unacceptable business practices! I will now work with a lawyer to get my money back. Assuming many people will do this and the company will collapse, I would not recommend to order from them!!!

6 month delay, will not give full refund

I ordered a bike from Strøm in june 2022, and they said the bike would be delivered in august/september 2022. Only upon request from my behalf could they inform me that the bike could not be delivered until march 2023. When I asked to cancel the purchase, they claimed the right to keep 15% of the purchace price. This is against danish law, and they first paid back the full purchase price after I pulled them into a legal case here in Denmark.

If another else wants to cancel their purchase but Strøm are claiming to keep 15%, inform them of the Danish Purchase Act § 21, which states that if the seller does not deliver on time, you as a customer are allowed to withdraw the full purchase. Strøm hides behind a slur by calling the pre-order of the bike a 'donation' (since it is a crowd funding project), which no one but themselves believes in.

is not particularly serious. and customer service very bad to any point of view ...
make nice commercials, but the product doesn't even exist. and if it does, it comes only with a very great delay and not completely.
Unfortunately, the company doesn't even have the basics down.

They keep part of your money in case of refund

After more than a year they finally say that they are going to refund me and to my surprise they have kept almost 18% of the total amount I payed. They clame is their refund policy to keep 15% which is not mentioned on their website. Only if you buy through indie gogó they mention they will keep this amount “A 15% refund charge will be applied as they will be lost to Indiegogo as a platform and administration fee” if you cancel the order, which is not my case since I bought the bike on their website shop.
Already starting research to start serious legal claim through European Consumer Center and Danish claim webpage klagenportalen
Do not trust this people.

SCAMMERS! damaged bike sent, took the money, not responding

Sent me a broken bike, damaged, missing parts, and wrong model.
For almost 2 years they go in circles by email. They promised a refund but nothing happened. Then asked to wait 6 months for parts, nothing happened. When I asked what would they do about a damaged bike, they go silent. Sent multiple times all the photos and descriptions, but they keep asking for it and then go silent again.
they took a ton of money to scam people! after promising a refund they started to self-contradict and keep saying you can't get the money back because it was a donation on indiegogo, so that's your luck.

Been waiting two years

Been waiting two years, (TWO YEARS!!!) for carriers for the 2 bikes I bought, Of course I all ready paid for them, I do not think I will ever get them, and if i do, the bike will be worn out by then.

Need battery - no response

Have tried to order a new battery for 4 weeks now. No response at all and the orders placed are just being canceled without any explanation. We simply just need a new battery........
